I came across the GR Beer Trolley, and I immediately reserved two seats for Sunday afternoon. It started at 2:00 p.m., leaving from Founders. The entire tour covers eight breweries, and the family who owns this new business has a winning approach to customer service. It's a delightful ride through the streets of Grand Rapids, and between breweries there's a cooler full of bottled water to keep riders hydrated. You get about an hour at each brewery, which is just enough time to sample some great beer before moving on to the next brewery. We left the tour a bit early in order to make dinner reservations, but I would recommend this to anyone who likes good beer without the hassle of driving or relying on Uber. Matt, the owner was great to work with and clearly laid out the expectations. Day of, the first shuttle, driven by Steve, for our pictures was there early and was very great to work with. He clearly laid out the ground rules and they were easy to follow. I basically handed him off to the photographer in terms of where to be and what to do. There was a gap in time where we were gone walking around downtown GR and our driver got worried about us and called my cell, which I had left in the bus....Suggestion for anyone day of is to bring your phone off the shuttle. I appreciated his concern and willingness to help. At our next stop he reminded me to bring my phone(lol). We got our photos done early so we drove around town just playing music before we got back to our venue. At reception, Matt, the owner stopped by to see how everything was going. I really appreciated that he took the time out of his day with his crew already working with our guests to ensure nothing was missing. Post ceremony we had a shuttle for our guests to the hotels. Another driver, also named Matt, was driving this bus. I forgot to mention we had a second block rate at a different hotel. I brought it up and the Matt's were able to accommodate. Everyone said they got a kick out of these guys. Last ride of the night, Matt ensured me no one was left behind and he had double checked. I really appreciated that he had the consideration of my guests which I did. If I ever need another shuttle, I will definitely use the team at The Magic Shuttle and recommend to any one I know.

That's what they expect you to pay $300+ for. The bars were packed and no reservations were made for our tour group, so some bars had up to an hour wait. We had to eventually find our own bar down the block to not waste the hour sitting around. On top of all of that, the ride was not safe! The pictures on the website do not accurately represent the quality of the bus. I was extremely disappointed as it appeared pretty old and outdated in comparison to the newer buses of many other companies. My driver was great, and although I realize it was not her fault, the speaker system did not remotely work at all. We had to spend a ridiculously long time trying to even connect to the speakers. It should not be that difficult and complicated to connect to bluetooth. I am an IT major and have technology background and still could not get it to hook up. Once we finally got connected, we could barely hear the speakers and they sounded fuzzy and broken. We all rented the bus in order to have a good time and celebrate a birthday. If I had known the speaker system would be so bad, I would have bought 8 Ubers for much cheaper than what I paid for the bus. Very disappointed with my experience here. We tried to make the best of what we had to work with but all of my passengers told me afterwards that it was the worst bus they had been on. We had made our guests' welcome bags with the shuttle information prior to the event and we found out the timeline that we had sent to the shuttle company a few weeks prior never was approved by their team. We ended up having to rent an additional shuttle to make our flow of events work. In addition, we had an after party and the bus had no music on it. This just led to a quiet ride and bored us a bit on the ride back to town. Having some tunes would have helped! They did what they had to do the day of and executed just fine.
