Dirty and run down! If passing through, wait to wash your laundry at the next town. The attendants are nice but no one was cleaning the washers that were being used. Found caked up detergent in the dispensers. The floors were covered in dirt and hair was wrapped up in the roller bins used to transfer laundry from washer to dryer. I was a bit nervous going here after the very mixed reviews BUT it's the only laundromat in the area so I gave it a shot. It's in a tough looking shopping center but the laundry mat was clean, there were several washers, dryers, and folding stations. For $1.75 I would go back again and again! read more

The floor was nasty. The machines look like they had never been cleaned. Gunk in the bottom of the cleaning tubs, and the top under the lid when you lift the lid. The only machines worth using they are the higher capacity machines. I would not put my dogs clothes in these machines. read more

There is another Busy Bee Laundry on S. Florida. There is no sign. I was stunned that such a filthy laundry could stay in business. The inside rim of the washers were brown from dirt and lime in the water. 1/4 of the washers were out of order. The high tables for folding clothes all appeared clean. The floor was fairly clean. There was no attendant. The dryers were as others have described. The bathroom did not appear to have ever been cleaned. read more

Clean and safe location. Machines are older, but they work and the prices are reasonable.

The owner of both locations lives in Tucson and isn't in the "know" of how horrific his business is. Bedbugs on the floor by large washers. I showed the attendant. The air conditioning in both locations were off and I had to tell the attendant to turn it on & she said at the smaller location, the customers can switch it on. Dirty soap slots, ran down place. People should have a clean well maintained laundry facility & in the near future, they are getting one! New business coming to Alamogordo soon, thanks to the way I saw how all the laundry businesses within a 30 mile radius are ran. People deserve better. read more

Extremely expensive. I asked for some form of scent booster to be used - to make the laundry smell " April fresh" or of "lavender", just something. Nope, that didn't happen. With the wash-and-fold service, an $8 load will cost about $47.50, save your money, take the time, do it yourself. Most of the machines are operational and do a really fine job, when they are working. It takes about 75 minutes to wash and dry your laundry, if you do it yourself. read more

Washers $1.75 for basic top load up to $4.50 for a triple, dryers 25 cents (min, holds 6 quarters per laundromat sign). Has a TV, but wasn't on, and no music playing. Just another average laundromat, the biggest washer is a triple for $4. Dryers are .25 per 6 min. The laundromat is on opposite side of road from where address is, in the Granada Shopping Center. Last load at 8pm doors are locked at 9pm. read more

These jerks have no competition and treat their customers rudely. They need to be replaced by a modern chain that values their customers. I'd pay a little more for a modern well maintained laundry that fosters an atmosphere of quality and value. read more

Older laundromat but gets the job done. Premises are always clean and workers are very helpful and kind. Offers wash/dry/fold services with a 24-hour turnaround for $1 a pound or you can DIY for $1.75 for wash and $0.25/5 min dry (usually takes $1-1.25 to dry a norma full load, $1.50 for towels or sheets). This laundromat has a working tenant on hand. They also have a drop off service if you don't feel like washing your clothes. Their is a television you can watch as you pass time. They have a vending machine for soap, bleach, and fabric softener. Also a Coke machine. read more

The newer machines were out of order leaving the "traditional" single load agitating washers. However, the triple load washers worked. The dryers, like the washers, were non-digital. Place was clean enough, but it's not a modern style laundromat. read more

I actually enjoyed my Saturday at the Laundromat. It has a sort of friendly hood-ish ambiance, some younger guys were playing old school hip-hop on their phones, people are pleasant and non-confrontational. Other than people leaving their dryer sheets all over the place was relatively clean. And of course Laundromats usually always smell like clean clothes and fabric softener. Dryer #15 seems to dry a few minutes longer than the others. It was a rather enjoyable experience. A radio and speakers playing local stations would be a nice touch. read more

After being turned down by Comet Cleaners to wash one large load of bulk personal clothing and bath/kitchen towels, they referred me here to Busy Bee as an alternative wash-n-fold service. It's in the Granada Shopping Center, which basically always looks like a totally abandoned strip mall unless you drive around the parking lot and take a really close look at all the little shop doors to find what businesses are really there and open. Busy Bee is one of those businesses. We've been living in Alamogordo for 16 years and I never even knew Busy Bee existed until today! So, I went over and met the sole person who works there, and she was boom-boom-boom efficient...weighed all my stuff, charged me $1 a pound to wash, dry, and fold/hang everything and wrap it all in plastic, and told me to come back in a few hours for it. Done deal! Exactly what I needed, when I needed it. Easily worth the $22 it cost me. read more

We started coming here in 2014 and enjoyed similar experiences of the friendly neighborhood laundry mat and pleasant attendants. Today, the attendant was still pleasant even though I complained about the condition of the restroom and machine #52 stopped twice in the wash cycle and did not spin my clothes dry. 49 washers in this place, 17 do not work. 9 of those are their double load washers. I spoke to the owner, Ruth, today regarding this and she said those machines are a pain in the @$$ and she has let them go. 22 dryers, 2 don't work, today. The overall condition of this place has gone down. We will NOT be back. read more
