Might be your only option as it looks like they are the only dry cleaner in town, but I would advise you to not make the same mistake as me and instead take your clothes to a dry cleaner in El Paso or Las Cruces. I bought brand new dress shirts from the mall for a new job I accepted and took the shirts to them to dry clean them to knock the wrinkles out and asked them to fold them for me upon completion. I picked up the shirts from them and they were all folded and inside of plastic packaging and I took them home and packed them in my suitcase. Two days later I have arrived in Chicago for my new job and take the shirts out of the packaging and one of them has a huge yellow stain right in the middle of the shirt. Absolutely unacceptable. I just hope that a dry cleaner in Chicago can get this stain out. read more

I used these guys as I was staying in town for a brief time in between moving to another city, and I needed my suit pressed for a job interview. I dropped it off and picked it up next day - no problems, very professional service to myself and others who were dropping off or picking up at the same time. After picking my suit up next day, I noticed when packing it for my flight some holes in the fabric. So why the five star review? Maurice and Teresa (the owners), and their staff, handled me bringing the suit back very professionally. They took my suit, and as soon as Maurice and Teresa got in, they gave me a call and invited me back to the shop to look at it and discuss together. They gave me their opinion and presented evidence that considering the fabric type (100% wool) and nature of the damage, that this was most likely the result of moth larvae. They offered me a means to test if I did not believe this, and to compensate if this was not proven wrong. Maurice also gave advice on how to store and care for wool fabrics to prevent this in the future. The manner they went about this was very courteous professional and earnest. I later verified their claims through my own research online, and it appears to be a common issue. I am a firm believer that you can test the quality of a team by how they handle and respond to problems. In this case I was impressed throughout the services performed and the response to the problem, and while I am not staying in town long enough to make regular use of their services, I would trust them enough to come back again. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I took my wedding dress a week before my event to get it pressed since it was a little wrinkled. They ruined my dress... when I picked it up, the rhinestones were falling apart, loose threads and lint all over the drees. They offered to sew back the rhinestones (which is the least they could do to fix their mess) but still, I had to cut the loose threads myself and I couldn't get rid of the lint. This place is a nightmare. I had to order another dress and get it shipped overnight. Do not waste your time and money here. Oh... and I didn't get my money back btw. Been going to Comet Cleaners off and on for 16 years now, always for drycleaning. Due to a moving company error as we now permanently relocate back to Alamogordo for retirement, we will be without our own washer & dryer for the next two weeks, so I turned to Comet Cleaners & Laundry to handle our bulk laundry needs until we can do it ourselves again. I went to their website, where they claim they do laundry. "Laundry" is one of the specific words in their business name. I even called them and asked if they do bulk laundry...they said yes, but they charge per item and not by weight. That was okay with me, because the moving company is paying the bill until they deliver our washer & dryer. So, I hauled my basket of bulk laundry to them, only to be told...well, yes, we do bulk laundry, but it doesn't include bath towels or kitchen towels, and it doesn't include personal items like underwear and socks. So, when they say they do "laundry", what they really mean is they will only wash pants and shirts. I'm okay with it, if that's their business model, but couldn't they say that on their website? Or when I called them? I mean, what else does "bulk laundry" mean, if not all the dirty clothes off my back, and towels? Anyway, I do also want to give them credit for giving me the name and phone number of a local laundromat that washes, dries, and folds bulk laundry and charges by weight. I left Comet to check out Busy Bee Laundry in Granada Shopping Center on 1st Street and that worked out quite well for me. So, I'll still bring my drycleaning to Comet, but I'll never ask them to do my laundry!!! :-) read more

I gave these guys an outstanding rating a year ago, but in the past few months things went downhill. For whatever reason, my laundered clothes are returned to me with a very strong pungent sweet odor. I can't wear the clothes because the smell gives me a headache and because anyone standing next to me is also subjected to the smell. I tried to politely explain to the business that their clothes didn't used to smell. They redid a couple of my orders, but each time I give them a new batch of clothes, they come back with the same strong offensive order. I wish these guys weren't the only game in town. I hate ironing clothes, but I guess I now have no choice... read more
