FUCK Busy Bee. No reason in particular other than the fact that they're a wannabe Bucees. We were forced to go here due to the lack of Bucees in our immediate area and the experience left much to desire. First of all, no one was smiling like the were in Bucees. Next, they don't have any merch that I can blow all my money on. Lastly, they don't scream "FRESHHHHHH BRISKET ON THE BOARD!!!!" every 10 minutes. Today I fueled and went in to get my free shower and was told because my gf was with me I'd have to pay (we were going to use same shower). When driving down from the North Carolina mountains back down to Tampa with friends there are very few decent options to stop at to get gas. Unfortunately the Eastern U.S. between the I-4 corridor and Northern Virginia is largely a WaWa desert, and gas stations in the rural south can often be kind of sketchy. But wait, there's the Live Oak Busy Bee, North Florida's answer to Wawa but even better in some areas. They have a huge bulk candy section, a huge fudge and chocolate candy section, a large slushee selection, and a decent amount of typical gas station items. The bathrooms are clean and spotless even better than WaWa. There's a Dunkin Donuts and a Burger King inside. Unfortunately options for vegetarians are sparse so if you are a hungry vegetarian south bound, wait until Gainesville to get something to eat. He went on and on about the sign outside that stated "Clean Restrooms...it's our BEEZNess!" and how they weren't telling a false tale. While checking out at the counter I picked up two bags of Bee Bits. Toffee and Buttah. HUGE mistake. Our entire family became addicted to them. Holy Mega Gas Station! This place is huge. There is a Burger King INSIDE! You can find all kinds of things here. Dishes. Candy. Popcorn. Full size cakes. Beef Jerky. Trinkets. Jewelry. Seriously! Oh, and the bathrooms are outstanding. My son says the men's room has a TV. LOL! I didn't notice one in the ladies room. I did notice that they are very clean! We spent 30 minutes looking at all the random things and even picked up some Japanese candy tins (Rilakuna and Gudatama) and sampled kettle corn. Very very cool gas station. The bathrooms here are just stellar. Nice stalls, full doors, big wash up area, good hand dryers and very clean. They sell lot of snakes and random trinkets here. They also have a Burger King inside and a dunkin doughnuts. They also sell some really good beef jerky here and have lot and lots of candy. All in all it's a great stop if you need gas or a break from a drive. I'll try and stop by here whenever I'm in the area. read more

This is the nicest rest stop I have ever been to. They have a big selection of things local canned goods like sweet potato butters and jams. Home made beef jerky and fudge. We got teriyaki beef jerky and it was pretty good. This place does a pretty good job providing cool random things you did not come in there to buy lol even though it was 6am I still wanted fudge but it was too early. I also noticed a fro yo bar before the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom it is one of the most amazing bathrooms I have seen. They have those private stalls like the ones in nice restaurants and nicely decorated and clean. Very cool place. Busy Bee is the famous pit stop for anyone traveling along the long stretch of I-10 from Pensacola to Tallahassee to Jacksonville. The billboards start as soon as you get past Tallahassee or just out of Jacksonville and keep on popping up every few miles after that. Let's just admit it, we've all gotten a chuckle out of the goofy puns. Eventually, you break down and have to stop to see what is going on at this place. Busy Bee is just off the freeway and occasionally the pumps are packed, depending on if there's holiday travel. Inside, you have a Burger King or Dunkin' Donuts to fuel yourself up on, after taking care of your car.
