Oh my word! Let's talk about Busy Bee for a little bit here, shall we? I actually came across here on accident while I was driving to Tallahassee. I usually make a pitstop every few hours and decided to pull off the side of the road after getting on I10. What a glorious decision! This is the best rest stop/gas station ever! First off, this is basically the nicest gas station you will ever visit in your life. I'm not kidding. It's pretty ritzy. The bathrooms are above some of the nicest bathrooms I've seen at pretty high-end restaurants. As far as food offerings go, you pretty much have your pick of whatever you want here. There's a full Dunkin Donuts and a Burger King inside, and then there's a beef jerky station and a fudge station. On top of that, there's a self-serve frozen yogurt area and a Slurpee area. And then there's an entire place for coffee and sandwiches. There are shirts, novelties, tons of candy and pretty much anything you can think of that you might ever need (or not need) while on a road trip. I was so thrilled by coming here that I almost feel embarrassed at how excited I was to go back, but this place was excellent. The I-10 rest stop might after all turn into a destination! Dunkin Donuts will forever be my road trip go-to and the service at this one trumps most I've frequented. What else does Busy Bee offer? My husband spoke of Busy Bee as though it were the Taj Majal of gas stations. They carry a great reputation of having the cleanest bathroom stalls. While I have stumbled upon a toilet full with paper and another piece dropped on the floor, the overall appearance and cleanliness is by far one of the best I've encountered. This Busy Bee also has a candy area, Dunkin Donuts, and Burger King. Additionally, they have showers for truckers and the normal foods you would find at any convenience store (slushies, various rotating sausages or a combination of sausage and some carb-laden covering). This is also a great mid-way point between Jacksonville and Tallahassee. read more

This is the nicest gas station/convenience store I've ever been to. We were on our way to Pensacola on I-10 and somehow ran out of gas before reaching Tallahassee which is our normal gas stop on the way. We weren't even sure if there was a gas station at this exit, but when we saw the lights to Busy Bee I heard the angels sing! The Busy Bee has played a vital role in my road trips ever since I moved down to Orlando. I never thought to review it until now, and I'm honestly not surprised it has five stars. It's a great midway point for me to get gas, use the restroom, and maybe grab a snack. Let's talk about each of those things real quick now. The gas pumps are plentiful. There are way more pumps than they need, but I'm sure there are times that they are all full. You'll never be wanting for gas. They have diesel, too, if you're into that kind of thing. The restrooms are actually what the Bee is famous for. They are also plentiful, and they are always clean. If you don't want a shady, rest stop restroom, or if you just don't like public toilets in general, come here. You'll be happy, I promise. As for the snacks, you have so many options. There's a fully operating Burger King inside, there's a Dunkin, there's every gas station snack under the sea, and the Bee itself makes a lot of products that it tries to sell you. Popcorn, fudge, cookies, taffy, and honey snacks, of course. Overall, I haven't been able to find anything wrong with this place. It's good, and I hope it never changes. Come here. read more

I would definitely go out of my way to stop here specifically on a road trip and we did stop here on the way back from Savannah as well. If you have ever been to a Buc-ee's in Texas, it's like a smaller version of that. We got gas, some burger king, sodas, lots of candy: your normal road trip stuff. The bathrooms are very nice and clean! No need to be sketched out while you hover over the toilet and hold the door because the lock is broken while trying not to pee on yourself and questioning why the toilet paper is wet. This place is very clean and we were happy about it. There is lots of room to stretch your legs and lots of cool knick-knacks too look out and snacks to grab. The hype is real here! It's my first time at this gas station and I'm in love with all that they offer! From gelato to jerky to one of the cleanest restrooms I have been to at a gas station. It's a perfect pitch stop and to fill up gas. Although gas is a bit more than other stations. I enjoyed the gelato that I got, but it reminds me of froyo, which I like either ways. This is a truck-stop like no other. And the jammed packing lot is a testament to this fact. If you are looking for just about anything, it's probably hidden here. I like to look for Gator gear but if you must, there are other FL teams represented. I've never tried the jerky or truffles but they look really good. They also have a large selection of local jellies, jams and honey. I'm really not sure what they don't have. There was even a mountain of pyrotechnics.... really, for the road? They also have cool, clean bathrooms and I saw showers and laundry for our trucker friends. From their website, it looks like they have more locations but this appears to be the nicest. read more

I've never been to a Busy Bee before but I/We have all see the billboards on I-10. I've passed by Live Oak on the way to Tallahassee before but never expected to spend even 5 minutes in Live Oak, FL. Hungry and arriving in Live Oak around 630AM, Busy Bee was my destination. Upon entering, I was blown away! This place provided VAST options for purchase anything I wanted. In addition to all of the Busy Bee options, there was a Dunkin Donuts and a Burger King to eat from!!! In the Busy bee itself, I could have purchased any energy drink, fountain drink, meat-based jerky, bbq sauce, marinade, or hot sauce I could have ever dreamed of. But wait, there's more; they even have a souvenir section that was roped off at 630AM that I could have wondered around in. This place is a madhouse. It grew too big for its surrounding. There is no way to leave but one way. There is no one to help with the madness of the parking lot. There isn't enough parking. Inside lines are huge. Once upon a time this was a good stop, now it's a car accident waiting to happen and takes 10 mins to get out of. They have nothing special inside you can't live without. Literally you can buy candy and popcorn else where. The bathrooms are always fabulous and clean but they do not make up for the chaos that has been created. They need another exit and an employee helping with traffic. Skip this place and save your sanity. The bee has lost its luster. read more

Recently voted the "best of the best" truck stop in the country, according to a Trucker Path App after surveying more than 71,000 ratings of 3,500 truck stops across the country to find the best truck stops and which states have the best location. I'm guessing this app is likely the electoral college of the trucking industry based on the popular vote of those willing to participate. The bathrooms are actually nice (I don't think I've ever said that about a gas station before). Every time I travel to Live Oak to visit my brother, the Busy Bee is the first place I stop. It's conveniently located right off of the highway, I can refuel my truck and my body without the worry of dirty bathrooms, old food, and sketchy people. This place has it ALL. First, the bathrooms are immaculate. Very clean and all of the stalls are roomy-which sounds like a very petty thing to be concerned with, but I couldn't not mention that little tidbit. There's plenty of food options from your typical gas station pre-packaged sandwiches and snacks, to local homemade fares such as a wall (that's right, a wall) full of beef (and other animal) jerky's, a fudge and decadent dessert case, jelly/jam/condiment displays, and if that's not your thing, there's a built-in Burger King. Need caffine or a sugar rush? There's a built-in Dunkin Donuts, too! The possibilities seem endless when it comes to snacking options. Did I mention there's a section of the store dedicated to candy? It's like being at an actual candy store. Hello, Willy Wonka. Last, but certainly not least, there's another section of the store dedicated to souvenirs but these aren't you're typical "Welcome to Florida" souvenirs. These are much more functional-like throw pillows, rustic dish sets, odd gifts like Poo-pourri (google it...hilarious!), Dammit Dolls, and more. So. Much. More. The best part is, the gifts are seasonal! Every time I come here, there's a new set of gifts to look through, depending on the season. This last trip ( in July), the store was full of nautical stuff. "Clean potties. It's our beeswax." As you drive along I-10 West you'll notice multiple Busy Bee billboards boasting to have the cleanest restrooms on the interstate. It's true! Busy Bee gas station, located off of Exit 283, has 36 pristine and modern bathroom stalls. How many gas station bathroom includes mood lighting, soft music, art deco lights, and Dyson hand dryers? I don't think I have ever been to a nicer or cleaner gas station restroom! Aside from the insanely clean bathrooms you'll also find a gift shop corner decked out with t-shirts, scented candles, key chains and other tacky souvenirs. Dining options include a Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, and your typical selection of convenience store junk food and slurpees. Not so typical gas station food options includes Busy Bee Golden Caramel Corn and "Bee Bites", local honey, fresh foods, fruit and gourmet coffees. Oh my lanta, I think I'm in love! What does this place not have!? They have a gift shop, a beef jerky display, and a build your own candy bag station just to name a few! The bathrooms are a little cheesy in decor but so clean and don't smell bad. They have lemon scented relaxation soap with a bowl of hand scrub, like who does that!? Busy bee, that's who! Ever think to yourself while driving "I wish I could stop by a CVS" well you're in luck cause this place sells everything you might ever need to make driving as convenient as possible for everyone involved. We had lunch at Burger King and then coffee at Dunkin Donuts, both were really clean with very friendly people behind the counter.
