They have a great selection of meats. Pretty good stuff. I had a weekly meeting in the area at 6 PM. I can't tell you how many times I drove by there at 5:30 PM and it was already closed. I like Butcher Boys, but wish they would post who their meat supplier(s) are. Plus I prefer grass fed and was told by their staff that it's mostly grass fed and grain finished. It would really be nice if they could post signs at their store and on their website so consumers know what they are buying. Transparency please. Plus, they really need to update their computer system so purchases are itemized. I like to know what I'm being charged for. On a positive note the guys are always pleasant and helpful. read more

Went to Butcher Boys for the first time today. I'm glad I did! They have a huge variety of both fresh and frozen cuts of meat. They also have deli meats and other prepared meats that would make for a quick dinner. I went in because we have a hankering for Reuben Sandwiches and I wanted corned beef. It's hard to find corned beef in grocery stores. Several local stores have discontinued it in the last couple of years. The corned beef I got at Butcher Boys is delicious. It has a smokey flavor that is so good! I also like that it's not 50% fat. It had some fat but the ratio is perfect. When I walked in there were no other customers. One of the employees was singing loudly about chili dogs. It made me smile and know that this place has a nice atmosphere for employees. He stopped when I came in, but it was clear this is a happy place. The young woman who was working the counter was helpful and friendly and answered my questions easily. Best bacon I've purchased Soo far, and I've purchased from a lot of places the short amount of time I've been here. The pepper bacon all the way. The applewood was also delicious but if you like pepper.... and I happen to l-o-v-e pepper, there's no other way. When I went last week it was 7.49 a pound I believe. I was trying to Yelp some decent local Mexican food and saw la costeña in the same parking lot, so I walked over while I waited for my order. Meat: 5 stars Customer service: 2 stars Hence 3 star review. Meet in the middle. We came here on a Tuesday. It was not busy at all and there were ton of people working. I tried to order a blend of ground meat that they sell for making burgers. My dad goes there all the time to purchase it. He always just tells them that he wants the blend of meat to make burgers. Then he said they go in the back to get it and bring it back out. However, when I went they looked at me as if I were crazy and they had no idea what I was talking about. The lady asked 2 other people that proceeded to ask me questions like "blend? Like a seasoning?" I said no and explained the situation about my dad purchasing the meat from them. They told me that they had no special blend and that they only use ground chuck for their burgers. I decided to just purchase the chuck because I was already frustrated. I got home, cooked it, and it was not the same ground meat blend. Even my dad said that it was the wrong one. I'm not sure why they decided to treat me as if I were insane and was making up some story. From now on I think I'll just send my dad to pick up my blend of meat for burgers. He has luck every single time he goes. I would definitely go somewhere else if I could find somewhere that made the same quality of burgers. read more

I love this neighborhood butcher shop. It's the real deal. Their products are all delicious and fresh. They make fantastic sausages. They have Dino beef bones as well. These are hard to find fresh. I have been coming here for many years, and I shall continue. When looking for some delicious burgers to grill, they have fresh ground round! They also have some pre-made Items that are great. Chicken Cordon Bleu, pork cutlets, even twice baked potatoes. Highly recommend this place. I purchased some of their housemaid kielbas. It was so tasty and tender. Go and get you some! UPDATE- Butcher Boys never fails. Went there yesterday and got some good eats. They are using social distancing and mask practice. I love this place. This time I got some Cajun pasta salad, for the first time. It was yummy. Also a couple of beautiful ribeye steaks. We grilled them over charcoal and what can I say!? They came out amazing. Stopped in on a whim yesterday - I've driven by it numerous times but it never really registered with me. I needed some burgers and bacon...and to be honest, I'd rather support a home grown butcher. I picked up a pound of ground chuck for the bbq today and I'm looking forward to it. The peppered bacon was cooked this morning (6 slice "test" purchase) and I had three slices with toast, eggs, coffee, avocado, and an apple...the bacon was beyond anything I could have hoped for! It was delicious, better than any "store" bought with great thickness and taste. I'm looking forward to grilling the burgers this afternoon. Oh, I also picked up a pork pepperoni stick and a buffalo pepperoni stick...the pork was spiced well and the buffalo was divine. Abby was my butcher and she was awesome, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me. The entire staff was friendly! I won't be buying my meats from anywhere else. The pricing is a little more (ground chuck was $6/pound) but the quality and taste is much better (at least with the bacon; I'll find out with the ground beef later today). We have been there twice. Each time the service and attentiveness when you enter and are next in queue for help is top notch. Excellent prepared, breaded and marinated meats to help make mealtime convenience. Most recently we did the breaded veal for some veal Parmesan and it turned out awesome. The breading was light and crunch at the same time with the right amount of seasoning. We also stocked up on sausage for breakfast and it had a better ratio of fat to pork than the grocery store selections. Wonderful customer service - they truly care! When I have a BBQ, hamburgers are on the menu. I always get the ground beef here and get half the leanest and half the "middle one" and mix them together. The leanest is too lean but the "middle one" (ground chuck I think) cuts it just right so the patties are perfect and don't shrink like so many do. This is the only place I buy bacon - it is always good, the hickory smoke and the maple (I don't care for pepper). It will be especially desired with summer coming up and BLTs in the works. They have a mushroom stuffed chicken ready to bake that is fabulous! They have three versions with one having asparagus as well (those look like turtles with asparagus head sticking out!). We have shopped there for years and never gotten anything that was not first rate! I highly recommend them. read more

I've been going here for the last few years. Great meats. Today I went in and one male customer was not wearing a mask. He was leaning over the counter and talking to an employee. I asked another employee what they can do about and they said nothing. I own a restaurant and I know that as an employer, you can refuse service. Remember no shoes, no shirt, nor service? Well just add a mask to it. I really dislike wearing a mask, but I'm doing to help the cause. No one has the right to purposely spread a disease. Since the ownership of Butcher Boys doesn't care enough to enforce the law, then I guess I'll be going elsewhere. I usually spend around $200 each time when I go there, but today, just $18 so I could just leave. I asked the guy to wear a mask and he mocked me. Too bad, I really liked this place. read more

This is the second time that I've had an issue with my order from butcherboys. I ordered a 10 lb prime rib roast with light rubbed completely untrimmed and ask the person at the register three times to confirm that this was my order. Now Christmas day is come I have open the roast and see that it's been completely trimmed and it only weighs 8 lb. So I paid 150.25 for an 8 pound roast that was supposed to be 10 lb and I don't even have enough to feed the entire family. I'm extremely disappointed with you. Your Christmas hours they are open until 3 yet nobody will answer the phone or reply to my message. read more
