The man behind the counter was fabulous. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He listened to what I was saying and offered suggestions to help me get what I needed. I purchased some of everything, including a pie, and everything we've tried so far has exceeded my hopes. The best part is the products are sourced fairly close. No meat from Australia here. The information about the different ranches and farms is in their website and on signs in the store. They are also happy to talk with you about them. The store is charming and welcoming. Be aware that parking is tricky. There's a bus stop directly in front of the store and there's only one spot in their parking lat and it's only for vehicles needing wheelchair accessibly. For the third time in 6 months I've got me that was either questionable or straight out at the end of its edible life, I just bought some sweet sausage and some pork ribs from timberline, brought them home and they smelled extremely questionable but I thought well maybe that's just the marinade for the short ribs and the sausage well you know maybe there is high fat content cook them up , ate one rib could tell right away the meat was bad through them out and proceeded to get so sick I had to sit on the toilet the rest of the night fast forward to yesterday pulled the sausage out of the freezer thought it out and fried it up for pizza topping same thing, this is the third time this year I will absolutely not shop at Timberline Meats anymore . read more

Stopped in for the first time yesterday Saturday May 2nd, to see what they had to offer. Very nice and clean well organized space. Didn't catch the name of the gentleman behind the counter. But he was very friendly and was willing to answer all my questions and made some recommendations. I picked up some jerky and pepperoni. Both very fresh and amazing!! They both didn't last 24 hours they were so good! Great selection of meat including pre marinated skewers, brats, dogs, etc.. to supply your BBQ and or your freezer. They also have a huge selection of rubs and sauces for that meat! I will definitely be coming back and would recommend you pay them a visit as well. I have always bought my meats at the local markets. Having moved into the area recently I was intrigued with buying meat from an actual meat store, something not common from where I lived prior. Having some out of town guests, decided to try their meats buying some good looking New York steaks. These steaks were so tender and flavorful that I, the griller, was praised. Yes they were grilled to perfection but it was the quality of the meat that made them great. So yes, I will be trying their other cuts of meat soon. There is a great selection of Oregon grown meat. Bios on the wall and kind knowledgeable staff to assist you. Besides the meat there are pre-made salads (pasta,potato) and lots of rubs and sauces to kick up your cooking. This will definitely be a stop when I'm in town! read more

Great meat market. My favorite is their bacon wrapped sirloins they melt in you mouth. I am a huge fan of their Landjäger semi-dry sausage. Landjäger is one of my favorite snacks and this is the best I have ever had. I prefer the spicy which is not too hot. My family and I have also had their bacon, breakfast sausage links, stuffed chicken breasts, pepperoni sticks and ready to heat baked potatoes. We have never been let down. Last summer we bought a BBQ pack and that was good too. Some people might say the place is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I will continue to go back because even last week when we over did out steak it was still amazing and juicy. The staff is great. One of the first things I noticed when I went in is how clean the place is. Not usual from what I have seen at other Portland area meat markets/butchers. read more

I don't normally write reviews, however Timberline Meat is excellent! They have a large variety of meats and our favorite are the bacon wrapped sirloin. They also have excellent pepperoni sticks and homemade jerky as well as freshly prepared deli salads and twice baked potatoes! Will definitely be buying most of my meat here! read more

Simply the best meats around, and well worth the extra price. I've never had a bad steak from here, their pork chops are unlike anything I've every seen or eaten (so thick and tender!), their prepared meat dishes and stuffed potatoes are excellent and perfect for when you're pressed for time or low on energy but don't want takeout, and they carry delightful additions like amazing black truffle butter and duck fat in a can...that's right, SPRAYABLE DUCK FAT! Perfect for finishing sous-vide steaks. The employees are always friendly and ask what I'm making or how I'm preparing it, seem genuinely interested in cooking techniques and food, and their shop is impeccably clean and they adhere to strict Covid and social distancing guidelines. Before my dad passed away he would drive all the way from SE Portland to Sandy just to grab a steak, or would have me bring him steak and truffle butter at least once a month. I'll continue to splurge on tenderloins and drown my popcorn in black truffle butter in his honor. read more

Have been living in Mt Hood during the pandemic and travel through Sandy regularly. A lot of the Mt people recommended Timberline and we can now verify,... the place rocks! Picked up some of their sausages and a couple wrapped sirloins. The sirloins were perfect with no added spices. Just top quality cuts and service here. I am so happy to have a meat market in Sandy again! So far everything I have tried has been amazing. We have a big family so to date we have had the pork chops, tomahawk chop, ribeye (amazing), porterhouse, chicken drumettes, bacon wrapped sirloins, pepper steaks and the Bavarian meats which are a new family fav! I had an issue with a previous purchase and they were great about taking care of us. I love the stuffed potatoes and potato salad-it is so nice to be able to pick up a side dish along with the protein. They also have a nice selection of runs and marinades. They are really reasonable and since they opened I have been trying to buy all my meats here. I love to support local business and will be back! read more

Amazing! Must check out! They are new and everyone hesitates to try new things unless told otherwise. We live in sandy and they are local for fresh and awesome selections of all kinds of meats, sides and seasonings! We've tried them a few times since opened and its delicicious!!! Our local grocery stores are simple, easy, cheap yada yada...but!!!... fresh bbq goods in town....can't beat that! Don't let them leave again, grab some meat!!! Outstanding meat market! Bought chuck roast and Rib eye steaks. I used the chuck roast to make a Texas chili. The chuck roast meat was melt in your mouth tender and it got me second place in a chili contest. I gave the rib eye steaks to my neighbor who always watches over our place when we are out of town. He told me that the steaks were the best and most tender steaks he'd had in years. The owners of this extremely clean meat market are delightful and willing to cut meat to the size you want. Prices are what you'd expect for very high quality meats. Will definitely be back. read more
