    Pear salad/basil dressing

Great little lunch spot! The outdoor patio is in between buildings and in the shade, nice set up! Cold beer. Food was good and so was the service. They have a giant refrigerator in front full of meat. I got the steak tar tar, made fresh to order, the guy chops it right there. The pear salad with basil dressing was fresh and tasty. My friend liked her chicken salad. A burger passed by me on the way to another table that had shrimp in it, looked really good!! The bread here, oh my gosh, crunchy on the outside, soft inside, perfection.

    Tucked in an alley.

I got a strong recommendation from the bartender of the Granary boutique hotel that the Butchery and Grill was the place to go on Wroclaw's square for an excellent steak. Once again, my faith in bartenders as a source of sound recommendations was restored. The Butchery was hidden deep in an alley between century old buildings and was a bit hard to find. Once a business associate and I located the place, we were courteously escorted to one of 4 tables under an awning. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare with a baked potato while Pete A grabbed the house ribeye with an order of sautéed veggies. Both of our entrees were cooked to our liking and went down easily with a couple of brewskis. The service was outstanding this evening as were our dinners. The Butchery serves as a nice carnivorous option in this Polish city center.

Found this place just walking around. Steak was perfect, service great. Best place I've been to in Wroclaw.

It was good, fair price and experienced good, friendly customer service. She spoke perfect English and they take credit cards. Bar had limited options of liquor. I would like to come back to try their menu of food. Very cool interior.

This city, also serves as a major Polish college town and ranks as the 4th largest city in Poland (population 632,000). Situated prominently in a very old building in the center of the historic Market Square, Spitz has both a casual bar-cafe and a more elegant restaurant situated one flight down from ground level. Despite not having a reservation, our group of four snagged a great table in the stylish dining room with cove-shaped ceilings and centuries-old oil paintings. We quickly ordered a bottle of a nice 2015 Chilean red and got down to enjoying the ambience while perusing the menu. We ordered a delicious appetizer of Grilled Shrimp with, of all things, a Mexican mojo sauce. Two of us also chose a pair of their soup offerings. For entrees, two of us ordered the popular Baked Breaded Sole while another chose another fish alternative...the Grilled Zander w/ potatoes and veggies. Our fourth colleague picked the Rolled Turkey with asparagus and roasted potatoes. Our meals were right on the mark and were crafted with noticeably fresh ingredients. The only thing dragging the rating down to 3.5 stars was the difficulty we had in flagging down our waiter when we noticed a small crack in one of our wine glasses. Sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and remember you are a guest in another's country...3 Stars.
