It's a very small bowling alley and the parking lot looked full, but we took our chances and thankfully we did. The worker told us there was a very long wait, but since we only had 4 people, he said he would move us up the line, and we were able to get a lane right away (we felt very lucky). We have member cards, but since it was so busy, there was no discount on this day. This day was very crowded inside, but we did get a table close to our lane that had 4 seats, perfect for us. These lanes seem smaller than other bowling alleys, and the pins are on strings. The workers put the names in for you, unlike other bowling alleys we have been too. We had the choice of bowling for 1 hour or 1.5 hours, and we chose 1.5 hours. The cost for 1.5 hours of bowling time and shoes for four was $91. Even with the business, they had balls available to use. We were able to bowl two full games to completion in this time. They have food and drinks for sale. My husband purchased a tall mango cart can for $5. They have a machine to purchase songs, so music is played in the building. We enjoyed our time!

Beware, because you may get a little more action than you hoped for if sitting around the circle! Each bout features two teams: the Warning Belles & the Tornado Sirens. Each team jams for about 40 minutes with an intermission. There are some concessions available including Sun King beer. Most bouts revolve around a theme, like the popular Star Wars night usually held in May. This is a kid friendly and super fun atmosphere that you need to check out.

They say that Indy is the Amateur Sports Capital of the world with every thing from soccer, baseball, basketball, ultimate freebie, and even a roller derby team. The Naptown Roller Girls consist of varying levels of skill, the Tornado Sirens, the Warning Belles, and the Third Alarm, but don't let that fool you. These girls give it their all on the track. The level of skill, strategy, and teamwork that is needed for this is amazing, especially considering how fast paced the bouts can get. If your new to the sport, you shouldn't feel intimidated. The program that they provide details the objective of the sport, as well as explains how they score. During one of the bouts that I attended, prior to the first team taking the track, they had an example run on the track to explain the rules. The announcers do a good job as the bout goes on as well of explaining was goes on. They are also pretty funny and try to fill the dead time. The atmosphere of the bouts is one thing that everyone should at least experience once. The dedicated fans bring excitement to the bouts.The roller girls themselves are very friendly and are just as dedicated to their fans as the fans are to them. The bouts have tended to bounce between the Marsh Blue Ribbon Pavilion and Indiana Convention Center this past season. Ticket prices are generally cheaper if you purchase them prior to a bout; however, you can get them day of. I highly recommend seeing the Naptown Roller Girls in action, just don't go with the exceptions of seeing Whip-its and full body slamming contact. Also, make sure to get to a bout early to secure good seating.

The complex is home to Northeast Youth Soccer League, FC Pride Soccer Club, Cathedral other amenities; home High School, Lawrence Central High School and Bishop Chatard High School. When there is events, tournaments or other happenings going on the complex's snack bar will more than likely be open. They carry your typical snack bar stuff like candy, drinks, and hot dogs. Outside of vast green space, and soccer fields, some of which were lighted, you will also find a nice paved path that goes around the fields. I saw a few people using it to work out while I was there. The fields appeared to be a bit neglected while I was there. Some of the, had rash and used water bottles and needed to be mowed. A decent place to host soccer games, especially tournaments. The complex is massive. There is tons of parking, divided between a couple of lots. I hope I caught it off season or on a bad day and that they normally do periodic maintenance and up keep of the fields and complex, which is my only major gripe.

The softball complex has 3 fields. The fields are ok. They could work for a rec league. There is…read morelots of parking available here in their private lot. The fields have dugouts and some nice picnic table areas between them. The are lighted and better than average. The complex is named after Chuck Klein AKA the Hoosier Hammer. Klein played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates and led the National League in home runs four times, and won the NL Most Valuable Player Award in 1932. What you may not know is that there is a football field buried behind the softball fields, hence its real name, Chuck Klein Sports Complex. The football field needed a good mowing when I was there and the goal post are adequate. They will get the job done. I really like the patio area in the complex building that is up high and overlooks the fields. There are tables and chairs up there. At the front of the complex, near the entrance is a shelter with picnic tables. Next to the shelter is a horseshoe pit that has seen better days. In addition to that, there is some huge green space surrounding the shelter. You can do a lot of outdoor activities there. So, you do not need to actually be playing an organized sport to enjoy the park. This is a nice place to host a softball tournament or league. They have also hosted rugby, cricket and ultimate frisbee. I visited the park off season, and they were still working on the complex's maintenance. The staff here is awesome as well.

One of them dips pretty severely in center field so that's a bit of a hazard. Last night we lost by a pretty large margin. I wish there was some rule that wouldn't allow teams to run up the score past 20. It's not fun at that point.
