Beware of this dealership when buying a used car or truck. I purchased a used truck three months…read moreago that started having problems 10 days after I purchased it. It started off with a sensor going off. 45 days after purchase, it started going in the shop for three consecutive weeks, the last visit was the transmission went out. Also found out that it was not the original engine and the one that was installed was not 100% compatible with transmission. I contacted GM Butte several times leaving multiple messages starting with the service dept. going all the way up to the GM. Again, I left each of them several messages and not one single person gave me a call back. The transmission is going to cost over $5000 to rebuild, with no guarantees that the check engine light won't come on again due to a newer style engine. The extended warranty company will not pay for the transmission citing gasket issue (The Extended warranty is another story). I purchased the truck for $28,000, spent over $1450 in car/truck rentals and before the transmission issue I spent over $1000 at the mechanics. I have a small farm, so being without a truck has been a nightmare. Trying to get hay for my animals Is impossible with a rental car. I rented a U-Haul just to get some bales here and it cost $135 to rent (they add mileage charges). After giving GM Butte a month to contact me, with no success, I decided to warn people, so that no one goes through the headache that I'm enduring. I pay a total of $400/mo for a parking lot ornament at my mechanics...... I have issues with that. Beware if you purchase from this company.

I got it back…read morefrom them for a day and had to return it because it was shaking so bad they told me its engine vibration and now they have to take it back it part and should have it back in a few weeks. I had to buy another vehicle from someone else because this one has been in the shop with them longer than I've actually been able to drive it. Like I said before I understand being short staffed but this is insane. They offered no solutions. They told be they had no loaner cars and if they did it would be 30 days max but like I said it's going on 7 months. I've lost 3 traveling jobs due to not having my car I've been struggling to keep up with bills because of this. They were aware I told them as much and they still didn't care. Just be extra cautious when going through these guys. Absolutely DO NOT buy from them!! I bought a used car from them and within a few months of owning it the flex plate broke I had it towed to the shop in May with promises of them getting it fixed to me my June at the latest m. It is now the end of August and it is still not finished and they keep coming up with excuse after excuse. "We are short handed and there's a few more cars in front of you." "I'm sorry we got it on the lift now we're just waiting on parts" "your parts are on back order" " Sorry we just had a tech put in some guys motor in wrong so they have to tear it apart and start over. They should be starting on your car Wednesday and it should be done no later than Friday" Which was last week. I've called twice this week with a promise of someone getting back to me and nothing. I called them at 2pm today and 3:30pm and it just went straight to voicemail." So if I were you I'd definitely use CAUTION with this dealership. I completely understand that things happen it this is going on 4 months of being in the shop and I'm paying $600 a month on a car that I can't use and I have no back up car. I'm sorry but this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and UNACCEPTABLE! I will never ever buy another vehicle from them again!

We were looking at a specific vehicle and price. Kody listened, offered us several options, including their extended warranty. Once we arrived at a deal, he was quick and efficient getting us through the process, One other person I need to mention is Ginger in finance, what a professional, but yet warm and friendly. We were not financing the vehicle through the dealership, so she graciously held our check for a week to give us time to get our money in the account from our credit union, I do not often buy cars and while this may be a common practice we really appreciated it and how Ginger handled it. Both Kody and Ginger made our buying experience a pleasant process. We would definitely buy from this dealership again. The dealership is currently under a remodel, so things were a bit wonky, but still worth the visit.

I had a poor experience with Butte GMC. The truck I…read morepurchased was not properly inspected or prepared for sale. At the time of the test drive and again at pickup, the vehicle was still dirty inside, had not been properly vacuumed, had visible spots that were never wiped down, and still had adhesive residue left from removed stickers. Additional issues became apparent immediately after purchase: * The horn did not work * The windshield wipers were deteriorated and fell apart * The battery was dead before the test drive * The tire jack was not properly installed * Wheel chocks were missing * Spare tire tools were loose in the back and missing pieces Within 300-400 miles (8 days) of purchase, the check engine light came on. The issue was later diagnosed as an injector-related repair totaling $1,836. Additional brake-related codes were also identified that had not been disclosed. After the sale, I attempted multiple times to work directly with the dealership by contacting the sales representative, sales manager, fixed operations director, and general manager. I did not receive any meaningful follow-up or resolution. I also opened a case with General Motors Customer Assistance. After months of calls, repeated document submissions, and follow-ups, I received a reimbursement adjustment check for $91 toward the $1,836 repair. I expected a properly inspected vehicle, accurate disclosure of condition, and reasonable post-sale support. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I respond with oh no, ok thanks you, have a good day. The owner tries to stop me from hanging up and says it's still available, it's still available. This was around 5-6pm at night. May 26th I got a loan from my bank for the asking price. Call the lot asking a few more details. Letting him know I wanted to come over and pay full amount in cash. I'm told he might be giving it to his daughter he'll call me back in 30mins. This was at 2pm, after waiting for the call, I finally call back at 5pm. Yes, he's giving it to his daughter, which I'm not really upset about . I'm frustrated with a business that, the day before I was told, with urgency, it was still available. Told me they'd call me back in 30mins and I have to wait 3 hours with no response and call back myself. I feel it's very disrespectful to a customer with cash in hand, or any customer at all. I have heard many bad things about this business, chose to not listen and make my own decision from my experience. Worst time I've had with a lot that, "want to sell vehicles"
