With little choice, we limped at 40mph 20 miles back to Butte. That was Saturday. We holed up in a hotel until Monday when things opened back up. Dealership service dept.s were full up. Kevin, office manager, of Car Tune took in our truck with no promise of being able to fix whatever was wrong in a hurry but did offer to run diagnostics asap. We left the vehicle with him/them and made our way back to our hotel. After only a few hours Kevin called us and said it was fixed. Indeed it was. We were able to salvage part of our intended trip and drove the truck pulling our trailer back home - 630 miles, 11.5 hours. No overheating. The truck ran perfect. Thanks Kevin, Kevin and crew! He assessed what the issue was and from various parts he had, created an entirely new one to replace the faulty part the RV dealer used when they replaced the generator. His skills, professionalism, efficiency and kindness are commendable. Thankfully after they inspected the tire and discovered no damage it was determined that the valve stem was faulty and they replaced it for us for a reasonable price quickly. We're through Idaho now and driving through Washington and the tire has not lost any pressure. So thankful we didn't stay at Les Schwab and kinda feel sorry for the guy who was still likely waiting when we were already heading west in the I-90.
