Please don't do business with these people!…read more They just stole $600 from me that I really didn't have... I put a $900 rifle on layaway with them. In the first couple weeks I put $600 down, then got laid off. I immediately let them know what happened. They said hopefully unemployment won't take too long. Here it is 4 months later, I finally find out I have an appointment with TWC next week. So I go check in with them. They apologized and tell me it's been too long, and the rifles gone. I ask about the money I put towards it. They tell me there's no refund, and no store credit ! No partial credit! It's just gone ! And it's not like I haven't been a long time customer of theirs. I've probably bought close to a dozen guns from them in the past. I've used their layaway before, and always paid it off within a couple weeks. I just never thought I'd lose my job, and be making LESS than a quarter what I used too. Now you may be reading this, thinking "so what, my jobs secure" well I urge you to consider the character of the people you're considering doing business with. If they're willing to steal from someone who just lost their job, What else are they willing to do to make a buck? Like their little bags of "bulk ammo" you sure that's not 5 times reloaded brass? Who knows with people like this? Who knows how well they go over firearms before they sell them to you? And if you think I'm just bitter, well I am, however if you search my reviews you'll see this is my second EVER negative review. Usually if I have bad service somewhere I just don't go back. PS I always went there to support local businesses, and they usually have a good selection; however just about EVERY firearm they sell you can get cheaper online if you'll wait a week. You just go to another mor reputable dealer in town, and they'll charge you a $20-$25 FFL transfer fee. You have to wait a week, but end up saving a hundred bucks. Thats like buy a couple and get one free compared to shopping there.

I was notified that my gun was delivered on Monday around noon by the carrier, but when I called Murf's, they told me they couldn't find it but would call me and let me know the next day. I waited till Friday and drove to Murf's when I tried to explain I was there to pick up a gun I ordered online, I was given the cold shoulder, as well as more runaround. Finally, they located my gun shoved under the cash register, and they charged me $40.00 to complete my transaction and pick up my weapon. They claim online that they charge $30.00, but dishonesty often breeds within a family. I would like them to lose their FFL license, as they have consistently skirted the rules that accompany that privilege. Plus, their arrogant attitude they wielded like a sword.

If they don't know, they'll find out, and if they can't get it you don't need it. Good people. I've been doing business there all my life and my father & mother did business there before I was born. They are as competitively priced as any of the big box stores or online sellers. If you need firearms or firearm related accessories these are the guys you need to be dealing with. Can't go wrong doing business with Murf's.

If you ask them for help you might get what minimal assistance they can provide, but only after the eye roll. To top it all off, anything and everything sold here can be found cheaper and with less hassle on the other side of town at the big ole Academy store. Should be a "no star" option for toilets like this.

Well almost, it didn't have the type of dumbbells I wanted to get for my wife to use but then again neither did any other store in town. I think the employees like saying " WELCOME TO DICK'S a little too much but hey when your that young let's face it...its funny. In any case the prices are about the same as Academy with an edge in the area of ludicrous going to Academy but Dicks is not far behind. Somewhere less than ridiculous, maybe around, as my wife puts it "Oh, that's cute.(pauses, looks at price tag) That's just stupiiiid", Im not paying that, I can get the same thing or close to it at Walmart". Yes folks that is a legitimate category in my book , just hang out at any Academy or Dicks and you will hear it sooner or later. I did get a good laugh or two. At the guy who is always there in the weight lifting area, lifting weights! HA! You know who I'm talking about ! We went to Academy and Dicks that day and both places had the guy, "testing" the dumbbells....maybe that's why they call them dumbbell's. Oh and he was grunting too, that really set me off. Man. Good times.
