We got married at a park with a large marble pillared pavilion and she took advantage of the setting to take some beautiful photos. She has a great eye for finding interesting angles and fun settings, and was able to capture some touching and unique moments throughout the day, while we were getting ready, during the ceremony and during our group photos afterward. She took the time to make adjustments for the little details when needed (move the bouquet slightly this way, make sure the short cousin can been seen in the back row, etc) to get the best shot, but all of the group photos were so efficiently done that we could get back to enjoying our wedding day as soon as possible. I've been in a lot of weddings and some of these photo sessions can be insufferably long, but she kept it moving right along while still getting excellent pics! I was amazed at how quickly she turned around the edited photos after the wedding, she must be working overtime to make her clients happy! She was also so fun and upbeat. Weddings are stressful so it's awesome to work with a vendor that has such genuine enthusiasm to help make your day enjoyable. We had the package of 2-3 locations so she took well over 500+ pictures of us. It was during July so you know how hot Texas can get during that month. I was big and pregnant and was sweating like I'd ran a marathon. Lol! Shannon was nice enough to give me her lease cleaning rag to pat the sweat off my face because I didn't have anything to wipe it with but assured me that she'd fix the photos. (Thank you for that)! We left after our session really impressed with her. Her turn around time was pretty fast! When she sent us over the photos, we looked over them and we liked some of them but the ones with me and our oldest son showed our faces being really sweaty. There was a glare on mine and his face in most of the photos of us and I did bring it to her attention via email and I sent her the image numbers. Although she "fixed" them, they still had that very shiny glare in them all. I wish I would've done more research and asked about her picture editing abilities. That would've determined if we would've used her or not and we wouldn't have used her at that point. I did see some of her photos on her Facebook page and that helped with our decision to use her. All of those photos looked to be edited good so it didn't cross my mind to ask her, her abilities. I'm giving her 3 stars because she does work hard while on location, her personality is out of this world and the 114 "edited photos" she sent over are nice shots (they're just not edited good at all), however, I wouldn't refer any of my friends or family to her as their photographer just because I know what they like. So, I decided to book a family session with her because we had yet to do so of our family of four. I was blown away at how patient and awesome Sonja was with our girls, ages 3 and almost 1, which I know is not an easy task. She knew when to take candid pics and was spot on with the posed pics. They, of course, came out great and we really enjoyed the hour she spent with us. Here recently we had family come in from out of state and I really wanted pics of all our babies at a local pumpkin patch.
