Little did we know this would be one of the worst decisions we could have ever made. In the contract they were supposed to have given us portraits that we never received. As if that wasn't enough, even after asking countless times for our video they never gave it to us. Despite us asking numerous times it took not only months, but over a year for them to let us know that they lost all of our wedding footage. This was devastating to us as people that were not only in those videos but who also left video messages have since passed away. We have no video of our very special day. I can't quantify the amount of stress and devastation this has caused. If you are searching for a photographer/videographer for you special day, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you want to ensure you will have your memories properly captured and your contract honored to its fullest. He was deceptive regarding his services and professionalism and in the end it affected so many things for us.

If you're like me and have very limited experience posing for pictures, Lindsey is the perfect photographer to use. She has an eye for detail and gives very clear direction on hand placement, posture, head tilt, etc. that make for amazing results. The quality of her photography is second to none--she has such a great eye for composition, lighting, and detail that will make your pictures exactly what you want. She is responsive and so friendly; every question I had was answered quickly. There are so many small things that Lindsey did to go above and beyond what was asked of her--she met me at the venue a couple weeks before the wedding to get an idea of the layout and timing, helped me tweak my overall timeline so things flowed naturally, provided suggestions and pictures that I hadn't thought of taking, kept in touch from the time I contacted her to the wedding day, kept me calm before the first look, and provided our pictures on both an app/website and gave us a fantastic custom flash drive with all the pictures in color and black and white. So, at my friend's insistence (and promise of brunch at the Pearl), I decided to join her for a morning photo shoot. I was nervous but, seeing my friend's pictures on Facebook helped me overcome any reservations about Angelica and Keith at Authentic Joy. We took photos very early in the morning around the Pearl and inside Hotel Emma. The early morning light coupled with Angelica's skills made us all look like models! Angelica and Keith worked with us to help us be as natural as possible. After shooting for awhile, I became way more comfortable, mostly in part because of Keith and and Angelica. Angelica has such a warm and engaging personality. She made us feel at ease with her silliness.
