I decided to try him for a major ship - my classic vintage stereo receiver, nearly 50 years old. I packed it well in a single box, but asked him the price for an outer carton for added security. The price was fair, he made the box, packed it, and shipped it out the same day, and he wouldn't even let me carry the thing (60 lbs into his store from my car! All-in-all, a happy experience.

In the past, whenever I've brought in larger boxes, the employees have simply taken them to the back to be shredded. This time, however, after I paid, I was told to empty all four banker boxes into a small shredding bin through what was essentially a mail slot. As you can imagine, that wasn't practical. When I expressed my concern, the employee told me their policy had changed because the documents were personal. I understand the need to protect personal information, but when I asked when this policy changed, he said it had been in place for about two years. The problem is that I've used this location three times in the past three months, and I was never asked to do this before. This was a very disappointing customer service experience. I ended up asking for a refund and took my documents to FedEx instead, where they accepted all four boxes without any issues. It's frustrating to see customer service decline like this, and then people wonder why customers choose to take their business elsewhere and why some stores eventually struggle or close.
