This Arco/AMPM meets this criteria of easy access and clean restrooms. As a bonus the gas is on the cheaper side in Buttonwillow and the AMPM has every sort of drink or snack you could think of. If you are near Buttonwillow on the 5, need gas and have to use the restroom this is a safe stop. Warning: be cautious of entering if the person in front of you has been in the restroom for awhile. These are private restrooms and entering after a long wait could be troublesome.

The bread coating flavor is basic/plain, probably good for a little kids, who may not like much spice in it. This was James Dean's last stop before he got into a fatal accident hence his huge cutout outside the gas station. Store was spacious with lots of different snack particularly nuts. Restroom was clean and service was excellent. The young lady who helped me with my nut selection was friendly and helpful. Place wasn't too busy unlike stops alongside I-5. Recommend stopping here. We inserted our credit card and the price did not changed, only ater we started the pump amount changed to 3. 39 a gallon. Anyway, I walked in, turned the corner, and almost immediately I spied the local wine, among a whole bunch of other local wines at decent prices. So, I talk to one the young fellows who work their & I placed an order for two cases... I was afraid that it would be discontinued.... but now, several months later I still see it there and now at Haggen. It is kind of cramped in there, and the first time I went there & turned around, I accidently knocked a bottle that was randomly sit on a box along side a windex bottle. I felt like an idiot bull in a china shop. Anyway, the owners were very cool, and they apologized...which was gracious. I was like holy crap, I am so sorry...but it only a White Wine anyway :) In this cramped space they somehow manage to pack lots of local wines, but you really need to look up, down, & bend down to see all of the selection. They also have an extensive beer selection, but few imports. Behind the counter they have the usual harder stuff & have some good vodkas. It could be that you can find something here rather than at Haggen, Von's, or Cal Fresh. Anyway, sometimes you can find gems in dirt! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
