I was looking for a specific pick up truck in a pre-determined configuration. After three weeks of looking, he was able to locate one that was at an out of town dealership that I could easily get to. We made arrangements to see the truck and based on site and lack of other options, I bought the truck assured that it was the last truck in California with my specs. According to the dealer it had just arrived after being delayed in shipment and that future shipments were cancelled due to the world-wide microprocessor shortage. I had Bob review the specs. Bob already had me talk to my Credit Union for a pre-approved loan. The Dealership even talked to my credit union and brought down the APR from 3.02 to 2.9. I did end up paying for nitrogen in the tires and for the "installation" of the floor mats but marginal considering my diminished options. Anyway, Bob seemed to always be on the hunt for me and was very up to date about the goings on with the shipping and other details. He was easy to talk to and precise in what he had to say. I was left waiting all day knowing whether my vehicle was being serviced. because no one contacted me earlier the day i had no opportunity to make alternate transportation or adjust my schedule. They called me it's ready around 5 pm, they closed at 6pm. I picked up my vehicle the following day! I live in the east bay area, so a trip to San Jose is not easy. Also, I was heading out on a long trip the next day and didn't want to get stranded with a flat tire. Stockton Kia was the closest Kia dealership on my trip route, so I took a chance and called them to see if they could help me. I talked with Sergio in service who told me to come on in and they would see what they could do. I showed up the next day and Sergio immediately took time to help me out. The service department had a master key to remove the original locks, then installed new ones with a new key. All this was done with no charge and I was back on the road in less that 1 hour. I was very pleasantly surprised by the great customer service in that I was not a current customer. That has changed. I will now take my Kia to Stockton Kia for all future services.
