After scouring yelp for a potential hairstylist, I thought I would give Routha a try. Even though she only had a few reviews, they were all 5 stars and very complimentary. She did not disappoint. It was easy to make an appointment. She was very friendly and professional. She did an excellent job cutting my hair and reasonably priced. I am very particular and she passed the test. I think I found my hairstylist. I hope I am equally successful at finding a doctor and a dentist.

Decided to just take him to our regular barber 20 minutes away. Well just recently I was in a pinch with out regular barber being booked, and I was getting on the road the next day to go to Cali, I walked in with my son to get out haircuts, to find three barbers. One male was cutting, the other was leaning back in his chair watching tv, and the older Hispanics female was cutting someone as well, (by the looks of it, she was only a few minutes into his cut). Well I sat down, and was asked by the working male if I had an appointment, to which I responded "no I don't, are you guys only taking appointments right now?", and was told "nah, SHE'LL be able to cut you after that guy", I said ok. 5 minutes pass, the not busy male moves from his barber chair to the customer chair to keep playing on his phone and watching tv. Never acknowledging that I was even waiting, I kept looking at him to see if we'd make eye contact, we would but he would look away. 20 minutes now, the not busy barber, gets up, takes his apron off, and says "I'll be back".....I look back at the female barber, (because I've been hearing her take part in conversation with her client since I walked in)......SHE LITERALLY HAS NOT MADE ANY PROGRESS, dude doesn't even have his fade started yet. Also, I've been watching the male barber the whole time, he's spending more time on his phone changing the music he's listening to, then on the haircut. 40 minutes now, 2nd barber hasn't returned yet, busy barber has finally finished his client, and has moved onto a customer that walked in after me (which I assumed had an appointment), I look back at the Hispanic lady (since she hasn't stopped talking to her client for 40 minutes now), he STILL doesn't have a fade, but she's lined up the back of his hair with a square, (basically he just got a 40 minute taper) but nowhere near done. I tell them I have to leave and ask if their open the following day (thanksgiving eve), to which they respond "yea, what time do you want to come in, we can let HER know what time to be ready".....they didn't even give me an option of a barber. I didn't want her, mainly due to the quality I perceived while there. Secondly she's too damn slow. But honestly, there's no way in hell I'd ever return. Cool gimmick with the beer and stuff. But the customer service is an abortion. They seem like they don't even like what they're doing, or even wanna be there. I'll continue driving 20 minutes to go see my regular barber.

Customer 5 minutes later walks in and she takes him in with no hesitation and then gets off her phone. Ten minutes later 2 other customers walk in & after that cut the gentlemen takes them. An entire hour later the gentlemen in the third chair takes the couple that walks in not even 20 minutes meanwhile I've been waiting for over an hour. F*** this shit ass wanna be barber joint. Never again.

I don't get manicures, pedicures, facials, and all of this other stuff... I'm a roofer and it's normally too fancy for me. However, Jack did a wonderful job and signed me up for the entry level package. It's only costing me a few bucks more than the other place that I was going, and I feel like I'm getting quality services by top notch professionals. Cayleigh did a wonderful job running the front and answering my questions... Initially, I saw JC for my haircut, but one day due to a scheduling mistake, I ended up having Raihana help me instead, and I could not help but be impressed by the passion that she has for her career. I can handle a canceled appointment. I can handle policies. What I cannot understand is why a…read moresimple scheduling issue turned into a personal attack. At no point was I trying to take advantage of anyone, and at no point did I ask to for a discount. No one deserves to have their personal circumstances used against them. What should have been a professional conversation quickly became something that felt judgmental, accusatory, and unnecessarily personal. The most disappointing part wasn't losing her as a stylist tbh. It was being made to feel like I was a problem for circumstances that were already difficult for me. Instead of professionalism, I was met with comments that felt targeted and designed to make me feel small. Businesses are entitled to their policies. What they are not entitled to do is shame customers, make assumptions about them, or turn a business matter into a personal one. I reached out because I wanted to feel beautiful. I left the interaction feeling humiliated. Here is my attempt to cancel and the policy. ****update- I spoke with owners and management and their quickness to resolve my problem and prevent this from occurring again to anyone was so relieving and refreshing. After a 48 hour wait. I was informed that they would be speaking with the stylist, and overall taking my concerns seriously. No point did I feel like the stylist was a true representation of society West and their core values especially after speaking with management. They did amazing and my experience was a rare one im seeing now.
