Not the type of place for everyone or anyone - but it's the BEST type of place for ME! This place was a blast, but it wouldn't have amounted to anything .... without the talented local bands breathing life into the building. Worth mentioning and surprisingly pleasing, was the free parking right across the street. Casual place, for me anyways. What may scare the average person was amusing to me. I liked the aesthetic of the place, there is notable paintwork on the walls of the interior that's very skilled and original. Logo stickers from all sorts of bands that have played at Buzzbin were patched all over the walls and various surfaces, creating a one of a kind territorial 'quilt' - displaying local history and personal pride. The place homes quite an impressive collection of pinball machines and other arcade games, to pass the time between band setup switches. Necessities like the restroom was fairly maintained and properly stocked. There are a few surprisingly comfy couches, a fairly roomy bar, and plenty of space inside the building to sit down, stand, or thrash about! I found pleasure in the bar. The bartender was patient and very helpful in finding a unique tasty drink I would love. I loved her recommendation for the "Gummy-bear". A raspberry vodka with a delicious sour bite and mixture of other candy like flavors, with the addition of bubbly Sprite. It was so enjoyable, you could actually easily ignore the taste of liqueur or forget about its presence all together. I was basking in a nice buzz after only a few drinks, to the steady cascade of free - quality musical entertainment - some preformed by my very own friends.... and appreciating the polite company of awesome like-minded and fascinating folk. Boy, for the hard ass looking people that come here to mosh up front during an intense show, they sure can be sweet.... To clarify, people are having a blast, bashing into each other with reckless abandon and dancing, play fighting with prop weapons and letting off steam... but when anyone got shoved too hard and fell on the floor, multiple people were always quick to help you back onto your feet. I won't lie, when I fell on my ass the first time by a good shove, I was concerned about being trampled on. But that never happened to anyone. No hard feelings, nothing held back, just good rough fun during the (Exostra) show I attended. People playfully knocking each other around, roaring, head banging - just generally ..... releasing. You know? I couldn't ask for a better n' fun way to recharge on a Saturday night, before another mundane work week ahead. I wouldn't hesitate to delight in another night of fun in the city, at the Buzzbin. read more

Found myself at the Buzzbin on a Wednesday night while on tour from Austin Texas. Extremely friendly service with a great beer list! Awesome live music venue as well as having a ton of arcade games, pool, and ski ball. Super dope spot here in Canton. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in town again. read more

Buzzbin (also the name of a long-running weekly arts and entertainment rag published by the same owner) has transformed itself into an awesome little venue to hear rip-roaring original bands, both local and touring. Great beer selection, eclectic crowd, and a wide variety of bands and genres from which to choose, from rootsy Americana folk-rock to slam-dance inducing skatecore to thrash to jazz-inflected rap. Wednesdays are reserved for the popular "Geeks Who Drink" trivia night, and the club occasionally hosts stand-up comedy. Best to check their online calendar before you head down; capsule descriptions of the scheduled performers are sometimes as colorful as the bands themselves and give one a decent idea of what to expect on any given night. Most of the reviews here are ancient. Ignore them. If they mention "store" or "vinyl" they are obsolete. The only reminder of its days as a record store are the kitschy album covers that adorn the walls and ceiling. read more

I stopped by Buzzbin on a recent First Friday art night in downtown Canton. They have an excellent selection of used vinyl records. Whether you are looking for vinyl to actually play, or to use as retro art, they should have whatever you are looking for. read more

This place has cheap drinks, that's the only thing good about it, unless they didnt do the math right. I've only been living in OH for 3 weeks and this place has messed up 2 shows. Couldn't get into 1 show because they wrote on every advertisement $10 at the door, then they sold all the tickets online instead. The other show was labeled as rock and I get there and it's some frat boy freaking out on a microphone singing rap music. I hate it here! read more

This is a great place to check out local musicians. Pricing is the same as anywhere else. The workers are friendly. The only bad thing is the limited amount of space. It can get packed in no time. read more

I heard this awesome band called ZLP from Louisville Ky playing at Buzzbin....what a surprise!!!! They were performing original R&B songs and Kentucky soul. Canton check them out on the Internet....you can only hope this extremely talented group of performers return to Canton some day. read more

I can say that without a doubt that this is the coolest joint in town. Mike runs one hell of a business. It has become the focal gathering point in the arts district. They continue to grow their business in ways that magnify it's awesomeness. read more
