We were staying down the street at a B&B and I had actually bookmarked this place. It's a nice neighborhood bar with comfortable seating and we happened to find 2 seats at the bar. They had a lime Mexican lager on tap that tasted good. They have Taco signs that made me want tacos. The bartender said they begin taking food orders at 4 pm. Taco Town serves through a window down the hall past the restrooms. I ordered the Fish Street Tacos that were 3 for $12, and a Street Corn Bowl. This has 3 sizes and I got the smallest, served in a cup. The fish was flaked into the refried beans for some reason. I've had better. The gal working was nice though. The street corn tasted fine. I bypassed the layer of Parmesan. The place clearly has regular customers. We thought it a pretty cool place. read more

We stopped in here after dinner at Aladdin's. Definitely had a fun vibe. Seemed to be a lot of Akron U students. But also mixed ages. They were very mindful of making sure guests wore masks when walking around and not seated. Which certainly was not easy! As people are going from tables to the bar or walking up to sing karaoke. It's a very welcoming atmosphere, everyone was chatty and the singers were not that great, but they really loved getting up to sing. The bartender woz exceptional, young woman. The owner and a couple other people were working there also. Definitely many patrons know the owner and the staff. They seem to do a great job of creating a welcoming community atmosphere If you are very sensitive to covid restrictions, this probably would not be the place for you. This place is awesome! If you're looking for an honest bartender, a fairly priced GOOD craft brew, or a great atmosphere look no further. We stopped in because they were the only place open Thanksgiving (the owner is AMAZING-their kitchen was closed and he tried to make recommendations for places to find snacks) and this bar was exactly what the doctor ordered. Nice bar great atmosphere, no real food to talk amount but definitely an excellent selection of bourbons.

It's been a few months since I've been here, I'm really not a fan. Everything is "just ok" as far as food and drinks-there is nothing special. For me, the layout is weird, hardly anywhere to sit. I Visited on NYE for my first time! First off, Great location, right in Highland Square by lots of other bars! They had Karaoke and the bar was full! It was super decent karaoke and the atmosphere was light, with a mixed aged crowd which made it fun and welcoming for all. The food coming out looked great and I can't wait to return to try something off the menu! The kitchen staff was super friendly and you could tell they were slammed but working so hard! The cook was awesome as he waited on guests and personally brought out each order. He made delicious looking plates with different varieties of dank options. The peach beer was super sugary and yummy, I couldn't drink more than one of them but I can't wait til my next trip to Barmacy! read more

Went in for the first time and was not impressed. Not enough seats so we just sorta stood there and drank our beer. The beer on tap was flat, the bartender looked like it was her first day. We were there for a total of 15 minutes before we decided to leave. As we left, the vestibule at the front door was filled with cigarette smoke. Bartenders were excellent. They were outgoing and fun to talk to. The owner however was the douchiest piece of shit I have ever met. I was sitting and waiting for a drink from him for 10 minutes before I had to move in order to talk to the actual bartender. Just make sure the bartender is treated well, not the owner. read more

If you are going to go to this place I would only order drinks the food was terrible!! We ordered the pizza and they should be embarrassed, it came out like a boxed pizza that you would buy in the store pretty pathetic!!! When you sit down at the table no silverware, no napkins, again embarrassed! I ordered the hamburger I would never get that again. I would not recommend this place at all. Nothing interesting or memorable about this place. Music was annoying loud for having just 2 or 3 people in the entire establishment. My wife and I were in there over the weekend and the bar tender`s breasts were just about falling out of her shirt. I realize that the majority of her clientel are college aged guys, however, there is a line of class that should be upheld in a public place. The owner seemed to have no problem with the way she was dressed. Drinks were reasonably priced. If that`s the only thing you`re looking for, then barmacy might be worth your time. If you`re looking for attentive service, a wide variety of beers and good food, then go somewhere else. read more

The drink prices are reasonable but don't order any food. The hamburgers were big but they tasted like mushy meatloaf. The French fries were cold and greasy. Also they don't have dinner napkins only the small ones for beverages. And they serve your food with plastic silverware. Nothing even remotely healthy on the menu. read more

Better than your standard valley bar in several ways. Prices are very good, especially during specials (happy hour, friday nights, etc). Bar and entire establishment is in great condition. Nicer than most nearby bars. Biggest issue was lack of atmosphere due to lack of other customers. Granted, I was there on a Sunday afternoon, but being the lone party was a bit unsettling. All in all, if you have a group of people looking to drink on the cheap, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a place to go with some atmosphere, may want to look elsewhere. read more
