Buzz's Does Bikes! I had a mechanical problem with my mountain bike and took it to a different shop in Vail, they said oh you need Buzz's. They were right - the team at Buzz's got me fixed up and I was able to ride the North Trail (epic!) that afternoon. The next day we rented a couple downhill bikes from them and they took extra time to make sure we chose the right bikes and that we knew how to use them. Go see these guys! read more

Seemed to be the only place in vail that sold butt pads/impact shorts. Great service, was in and out in less than 5.

Popped in to see if they had a specific but common bike part to repair a small issue with my bike. Shop was not busy, which probably explains the lack of masks, but was told by the shop employee "We probably have that part, but I'd have to look for it and don't have time to look for said part right now." Guessing it may have taken him 3 minutes and I would have paid for it, so it would have been worth his time. As a CO native who has spent many years in the mountains, I find this attitude pretty common among transplants who have lived here a couple years and who feel superior to everyone else, including us natives. It's unfortunate as it leaves our visitors with a bad taste. Definitely recommend checking out one of the more hospitable shops in town. read more

Bought my first pair of boots yesterday. They felt great walking around the shop, but were so incredibly painful on the slopes (I had to stop and just take them off). Brought the boots back & these guys heat molded them to my feet. The difference was night and day - the pain was completely gone. I hit a few more runs and my ankle was bothering me a bit, it was rubbing up against the boot. I could have lived with it but decided to take it back & they filed down the area around the ankle. Now they fit me perfect! Every single employee was so attentive & friendly. Plus, they have 2 adorable dogs roaming around the shop. Win/win/win. read more

So, they need to advertise that they also are a bike shop in the summer! I had a puncture up by Copper Mountain which I fixed with my spare, but cycling down to Vail I realised it would be sensible to buy a replacement, just in case. I cycled into town and stopped the first person who looked like a local and asked for a bike shop recommendation and was directed to Buzz's. Now I know buying an inner tube is not rocket science, but the staff could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. As well a selling me an inner tube, they checked and corrected my tire pressures and we had a great conversation about what tools are essential to carry, you many tires a gas cylinder should fill and all things relevant to my situation. They even asked if I wanted to clean up my hands and refill my water bottles. A great little bike shop with good attitude, support a local business now! read more

Buzz's is a solid ski shop. If you are looking for high-priced corporate Vail and want to be pampered, etc...Buzz's is not your place. What you will get at Buzz's is: 1. Knowledgeable techs: Pretty important if you are looking to have questions answered about your equipment 2. Good equipment: demo's and rentals were all top notch. Everything I wanted to demo they had and they also made suggestions to hel with comparisons 3. Location is excellent for anyone staying in Vail Village or on the Golden Peak side. A quick 2 minute walk to the Vista Bahn and they will let you leave your gear there overnight (major advantage) 4. Pricing is definitely the cheapest in Vail Would highly recommend Buzz's Ski Shop. read more

Simply just the best service, most knowledgeable and best prices in Vail period. It's the place that all the locals the go. Why? Buzz's Board shop is owner operated and along with his sons and wife in the business they serve up that personal touch what separates them from the rest. I rented from Gor___ and paid $65 for 12:00 PM -3:30. Buzz's Ski and Board shop charged me $36.00 for a full day. read more

I love this place!!! It's by far the CHEAPEST!!! It's nice if you are near vail village, but if you're by other area, its not as convenient, but no big deal for me, bc I just drove there and parked in front really quick to rental ski rental. People there are very knowledgeable and friendly too!!! Local family owned shop, LOVE IT! It's not a fancy place, but they have everything you need to hit the slopes... Only downside is, if you are looking for rentals foe kids, Buzzs doesn't have a huge selection, so make sure to call first... Highly recommend'!!!!!!!!! read more

Look- Vail, like Aspen has it's haughty taughty places -but if you want the real deal, on the right stuff, from a guy who's supported more world class skiers then you can imagine--then go see Buzz. Oh, and then there's the experience he brings having fathered a daughter Olympian and long term World Cup racer, oh, and a son or so having also competed world class - this ain't your "isn't that headband so cute" place but if you want to know what's right--go here. Best prices and good equipment. Staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. After a half day on some boots I brought with me my feet were killing me. No problem, the crew at buzz's swapped them out with some super comfortable boots and I was back on the slope in no time flat. The shop is almost ski in/ski out. Just a short walk to Gondola One. They will store your gear overnight and you can just leave your shoes at the shop. We had intermediate and advanced skiers in our group and everyone was happy. read more

This is THE place to go in Vail Village for all your ski and snowboard stuff. Buzz knows his stuff, ex racer I believe and His daughter (Sarah) is on the US SKi Team and currently ranked #1 american in GS. Located just a short walk from the Vista Bahn. They know their stuff here and he has been in Vail forever. Those who know, know where to go and Buzz's seems to have a loyal following year after year. Can't go wrong at this shop. I've been skiing Vail for 30 years, and Buzz's is by far the best ski shop I have found. If friendly service, top-of-the-line equipment, and a great location are important to you, then look no further. I have been renting ski gear from buzz's with my friends for over a decade now. In all of that time no one has suffered an injury due to improper set up or gear malfunction. The guys that work there are all professionals and they know what they're doing. As a beginner I had to trust that the board I rented was set up right. After the first day my legs were screaming at me. I couldn't make my turns and was wondering why I even spent all the $ to come to Vail to snowboard. Two days in a friend of mine was kind enough to look at my setup and informed me that the bindings were set up completely reversed and set them up properly for me. It was soooo much better, but after two days of hard struggling my legs were very tired. Not only that, but I had picked up a lot of bad form trying to ride a board with the bindings set up incorrectly. I went into Buzz's to inform them of my situation. They were unsympathetic and even blamed me for not coming in the first day when I was having problems. I would have brought it back had I known the bindings were set up improperly, but I didn't because I only snowboard once a year and have never set up my own bindings. Buzz's is cheap, but don't expect them to own up to their mistakes or provide any sort of customer service. I even bought a helmet from them, and that + the cost of the rental is substantial enough that I expected better. I was looking for a day discount, but none was offered. Even so, a 'sorry we messed up' would have been nice, instead of telling me that I didn't know what I was talking about and then after realizing I did know what I was talking about - blame me for not bringing it in sooner. I will never go back and I don't recommend Buzz's for beginners - they can't be trusted to set things up right, and if they do it wrong they don't seem to care. More motivation to buy my own board so I don't have to deal with this kind of thing anymore. read more
