About 30 min later my brain finally engaged with the problem/solution - I had the hose turned off at the wrong spot... no water = no misters. nothing they needed to fix, but they were kind and gracious with me. I got some quotes from three different plumbers for a water heater installation and ended up going with Allegiance. They were only a tiny bit cheaper than the highest quote I got, but I chose them because of David. He's the scheduler but I think also one of the plumbers because he was extremely knowledgeable and has clearly been doing this a long time. 1. He didn't offer me a bunch of different confusing "package options." He sent me a quote for exactly what I said I needed, and nothing more. 2. He didn't try to UPSELL me on any "money saving" options that really only serve to put more money in his pocket!! I can't stand having to navigate around a bunch of random extra crap I don't know whether I need or not. I'm already overwhelmed having to replace the stupid heater in the first place. In fact I asked him about a descaler that another company offered to install (for a price) with the heater, and he straight up said I didn't need it, that a water softener for the whole house would work better, but *didn't try to offer one,* just stated it for my info. Obviously if I wanted one, I would ask about one. He didn't try to make my day harder by giving me more things to decide on. 3. Without being asked, he explained about the anode rod in the heater, about routinely replacing it and why, in a way that I understood and didn't make me feel like an idiot. I didn't even know I needed to know that, so I wouldn't have thought to ask! So he clearly wanted to help me help myself, and that was extremely important to me. 4. He was very patient with the questions I did have, especially about trying to potentially purchase some of the parts myself to save some money, and updated my quotes accordingly. He didn't make me feel like it was better for them to provide (and charge for) all the parts, and reassured me I could call if I had other questions when I got to Home Depot or wherever. As for the service and water heater installation itself, everything went great! Ruben came out (with additional help, I can't remember his name, I'm so sorry!) at the very very end of a long, VERY hot day to squeeze me in even though he got behind. It was supposed to be done in the morning but they ended up having to work late for me. Ruben was very courteous and professional, he and his buddy got the task done quick, and I was charged exactly what I was quoted with no surprises. He (and David, when he updated me about their ETA) thanked me for my patience and were happy to help. These guys work hard and aren't trying to screw around with your wallet. Thanks again! read more

On a hot summer evening, I came home to a flood in my backyard. We hypothesized that it was an irrigation leak since our drip lines to our plants/trees were running at the same time. I searched on Yelp and found Allegiance Water Services and was drawn to the business bc they're bonded, insured and had amazing reviews! I initially contacted Allegiance to replace two bathroom faucets. Unfortunately, I wish I could give them a better rating, but each task dragged on for so long. On the day of the installation, they informed me that their van had broken down, but assured me they would be there the next day. However, when they didn't show up towards the end of the time slot the next day, I called them. They asked to postpone the appointment a second time because another job was running long, but I insisted that they come that day. The faucet installation was $179 per faucet, and they charged an additional $322 to replace two angle stops under the sink. While the angle stops did need replacing, the cost seemed a bit high, but I needed to finish the job --so I agreed. In addition, I asked them to replace a shower cartridge and a shower wand, but that project also dragged on for a long time. They ordered the parts but didn't realize that a piece was missing until they were on their way to my house and opened the box so we had to reschedule that. The next time when the plumber came, someone didn't tell him to pick up the box for the shower wand, resulting in yet another visit to my house. As a side note, they tried to sell me a $5k tankless water heater, which three other plumbers later confirmed was overkill for two people. They all said that makes no sense cost-wise when a traditional water heater is less than $2k. Finally, they accidentally turned off the landscape irrigation water valve located next to my house shut-off valve, causing my landscaping to go without water for two weeks. The last I heard from Allegiance, they promised to call me back about installing the drains that came with the new faucets I bought, but I never heard from them again. read more

I had a mixed experience with this company. They were very responsive at first and quick to come out and provide a quote. The technician who came was great -- he even went above and beyond by helping me make a small hole in my fence wall so I could keep my project moving forward. However, after I signed up to have the service completed, communication completely dropped off. I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone or schedule the work I agreed to. I am giving Allegiance Water Services 2 stars, only because I got about 6 bids for irrigation repair (10 sprinkler heads not producing water, 1 PVC part had a crack in it), and Allegiance was the most expensive by hundreds of dollars for the same repairs I got done by the first bidder who bid $180 ($100 for parts, and $80 labor), whom I found also on using Yelp to get quotes. These below are the itemized prices for Allegiance's repair prices, totaling $993, almost $1000, for which I just paid my first bidder $180 (for everything listed below in one price, he finished the job this morning) for excellent job, comparing apples with apples, nothing more, nothing less. But excluding the irrigation timer, to compare apples with apples, with the first $180 bidder, Allegiance price was $993. My other 4 bids were ranging from $225 to $650. But on positive side, Allegiance was very responsive with communication about the appointment time, and showing up, and getting me the bid right away, cos some I made appts with, never showed up, and don't call me back when I say they didn't show up. And some show up, but for some reason, I can never get them to email me the bid even when I call them 3 times, cos I guess, they don't want the job. And that's not to say that Allegiance will be that far above other estimates on the other water services they provide. But I always get many bids, because their prices are so far apart, in a huge range. I am generally happy with who I pick, because I pick based on their Yelp reviews. If I could get it done for $180 and 5 Yelp stars, over 5 Yelp stars for $1000, who would you pick? I am telling my story about Allegiance $1000 bid for what I got done today for $180, so you would make sure you got many bids, before you pick Allegiance. Yelp does not allow me to give name of $180 bid, cos it would appear that the $180 Landscaper wrote the review, not me, to badmouth Allegiance. But if you message me through Yelp, I would tell you. I am hiring the $180 Landscaping company to do my regular maintenance now. I didn't have anyone, before.
