I checked in, filled out my paperwork, and was seen within about 10 minutes. I was feeling very dehydrated and weak, so they took my blood sugar, checked my vitals, examined my throat and ears, and ran tests to rule out flu, COVID, and strep. It was very reassuring to see them taking the time to rule out all the major concerns. They determined I was fighting an infection, so I received a steroid shot and my first dose of antibiotics right there in the clinic. They even had me wait a while afterward to make sure I didn't have any adverse reactions, which I appreciated. They sent my prescriptions promptly to the H-E-B next door, and I didn't have to wait long before I was headed home. I truly cannot recommend this urgent care enough. It's the best I've ever been to.

On top of the million and one things to do, they made it such a breeze and even made me laugh a little. Even with Covid, the process was smooth. Kenneth greeted me with a smile and a delightful attitude (even after I did not complete questionnaire prior to arrival) and willingness to help. He took me to my exam room where Sherry took my vitals and shared jokes. Without hardly a wait at all, I was greeted by the Doctor (Lizbeth, Dr. Munoz) who was undoubtedly the most kind and patient doctor I've seen. It was very refreshing to be taken care of by such a genuine staff during these times. It made all the difference and why I'll keep coming back. God Bless you all!

I also tried to attend an appointment that was going to cost $25 but was told I had to pay $100. The lady tried to tell me that it had to do with my deductible and I informed her that it is not and the cost is $25 per my insurance. I told her that I've never paid $100 and always paid $25. Just like the business owner's response for this location, gaslighting us like we don't know the basic minimum benefits of our insurance, she responded the same. I double checked my insurance and called back only to be told, "Like I SAID, it's because of your deductible!" Didn't listen or look further into it. I decided to go to another urgent care where they charged me $25, like it was supposed to be and how it was stated on my insurance benefits. They couldn't pay me $100 to come back to Texas Med at this point.

The person at the front refused to take my ID or insurance card and insisted that I do it myself despite that fact that my kids have been in this clinic 4x in 6 weeks. It's a really frustrating process and the front desk person was not friendly.

Dr. Gogu is a Life-Saver!…read more Dr. Gogu is truly a life-saver. I made an appointment due to feeling 'off' and short-of-breath, after a 5-year gap in visiting a PCP due to insurance changes. Dr. Gogu's office was able to accommodate a same-afternoon appointment for me... Yes, truly a doctor appointment made/received on the same day! Dr. Gogu and his staff quickly had me diagnosed with severe anemia...and on my way to the hospital for a 2-week stay. Now on-the-mend and looking over the ER admitting paperwork, I realize just how remarkable Dr. Gogu's fast & accurate diagnosis had impacted my life. If not for the quick diagnosis and actions taken on my initial appointment with him, I feel things would have turned out much differently for me. I'm now proud to have selected my new PCP and look forward to Dr. Gogu's continued health guidance as I age. Hi all, I have two things to cover here…read more 1) The comments about this doctor lacking care or interest are CORRECT. we were always in and out, not much convo, not much concern in general, cold doctor. 2) I've seen reviews about being billed inaccurately and this is also CORRECT. my 6m old now, was billed 250.00 for a visit which is suppose to be covered by medicaid, but was still billed. I called insurance and they informed me that his practice sent off the WRONG billing code and that it in fact should have been covered. I recommend going elsewhere. They need detail oriented staff and the doctor can improve with patients.

I recently had surgery and can't have NSAIDS and cleared it with my surgeon ahead of time in case this place wanted to give me Toradol. They assured me that I could have that NSAID but I couldn't take oral NSAIDS. The PA here felt the it would be too strong for me but meanwhile I'm supposed to move around after surgery but I can't because of the pain. He offers me Robaxin which has never worked for my back pain in the past. So I wasted energy, time and money coming here because as a black woman with pain, I wasn't heard. I give up.

The front desk staff that checked me in was professional and friendly. She politely asked if she was saying my last name correctly which I appreciated (I've been called many last names in my life). The staff that called me back, I think she said her name was Lye (?), was super nice. She took my symptoms down, took my blood pressure, and explained that COVID is on the rise again since school was back in session. She explained how symptoms are presenting and I knew exactly how I contracted it. Then I was seen by either a PA or NP. He was fast and efficient, but a little difficult to understand. Maybe in my brain fog state, I couldn't follow his fast talking. The sent my prescription to HEB and I was on my way. The facility was quiet, clean, and felt relaxing. I asked how long their entire system has been down and she says 30 minutes. I made my appointment through the patient portal online at 1340 sitting in my in the driveway. It took me 4 minutes to get here and I was in the portal (that doesn't work) the entire time. Just be honest, tell the trust. Even for a basic office visit you may be waiting 2 hours after your appointment time to be seen by a provider. Test result follow-ups are very slow, even after they show up on the patient portal. Providers are also slow to write orders when test results are alarming to the patient. Dr. Coutinho used to be great but if you go here now odds are you will just see one of his PAs rather than the Dr. himself. I have nothing against PAs but the care here is simply not up to standard.
