I stalked instagram for a while for makeup artists in AZ and came across Jazmins page and I was HOOKED. I followed her for a little while just to keep up with her bridal party looks to be sure that this was a commitment I was ready to make, and boy was my gut instinct right!! It was hard for me at first to take that "risk" and outsource something that I'm sure I could have done for myself, and coincidentally, even though I was in the industry myself for a short while, I've never had my full makeup done on myself before - so this was all new territory for me. So ... I held my tongue and didn't tell Jazmin (we can laugh about it now lol) at my trial about my time at MAC and freelance, only because I did NOT want her to feel any pressure (not that I have an ounce of HER talent whatsoever), but more that I wanted give her the space and let her do her thing and wave her brush like a magic wand around my face. She rocked it!! Her products, her technique, her customer service, everything was just an absolute treasure! I booked her officially for my wedding right then and there and opted for her to travel to the hotel to do my makeup and the bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom - my girls all jumped in on this luxury treatment when they saw my trial and saw her social pages with such excitement. My bridal party was also quite diverse: blonde hair, red hair, black hair; Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, and Middle Eastern; girls in their 30's and mom's in their 60's - Jazmin and her assistant's artistry and care were INCREDIBLE!! Everyone was so impressed and beyond happy with their makeup looks; individualized for their features, and the longevity as well. THEN ... I committed the ultimate sin, on the day of the wedding, I changed my mind on what I wanted for my makeup - I'm an artist, it's hard to pick what I want for myself, since I have an appreciation for all things makeup lol - so, I told Jazmin, "just do what you want". I'm sure inside she had a heart attack, but on the outside she was as cool as a cucumber eye patch. We bonded over our MAC history, so when I dropped that bombshell on her, I just said "I'm a 35 lash girl, and I love me some warm soul ... you take it from there" .... AND SHE DID!!! I hope she's forgiven me by now lol. Not only did she help me to look like a bride, but because of her talent and her angel heart, I FELT like a bride. Booking Jazmin and having her at my hotel to do myself and my bridal party really did take off so much stress and make our morning so easy and so fun (we even had time to eat before the ceremony lol). I needed someone to show me how to do on-camera makeup, outside, in the hot sun. Janesa was so easy to work with, great on communication, and super friendly and personal. We did the makeup lesson in her studio in Sunnyvale, which was pristine and had great lighting. She used professional sanitizing and I felt completely safe working with her. I scheduled a hair and makeup appointment more than a month in advance for my nursing school graduation--an incredibly important milestone for me. I planned my entire day carefully and precisely to ensure everything ran smoothly and on time. While on my way to the appointment, I called to confirm, wanting to make sure everything was set for such a meaningful day. After multiple calls with no answer, I received a text just 30 minutes before my appointment. The message was addressed to the wrong person and stated that my appointment had been canceled. At first, I genuinely thought it was a scam. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Because of the extremely short notice and lack of communication, I was forced to scramble at the last minute. Despite planning meticulously, I arrived late to my graduation and nearly missed the opportunity to walk across the stage. I was only notified of the cancellation because I called to confirm; there was no proactive outreach from the company. Very little professionalism, accountability, or genuine remorse was shown. The stress and disappointment caused on such an important day were completely avoidable. I can only imagine how devastating this would be if it were for an event such as a wedding. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against booking with this company.
