After going to 3 local Phoenix salons, I finally tried Ide. "Try Ide!" They got the weave/foil/highlights RIGHT! Susan was very personable and did a great job. The Aveda products were very gentle on my poor abused hair, yet they brought out the bright blonde. A toner wasn't even required bc Susan got the color perfect. Yes, the lighting in the salon isn't great and the place could use a deep clean service and a fresh coat of paint, but do you want to pay $400-$500 for highlights/lowlights/cut/blowdry, or do you want to pay $100-$200? Those expensive (& pretentious) salons are making YOU pay for their high end lighting systems, new salon chairs, and nightly cleaning crew. Just some food for thought. I needed someone to show me how to do on-camera makeup, outside, in the hot sun. Janesa was so easy to work with, great on communication, and super friendly and personal. We did the makeup lesson in her studio in Sunnyvale, which was pristine and had great lighting. She used professional sanitizing and I felt completely safe working with her. She gave me fantastic tips on the best methods and products to use, including a write up a makeup chart of my face, detailed instruction recaps, and recommended products. After multiple calls with no answer, I received a text just 30 minutes before my appointment. The message was addressed to the wrong person and stated that my appointment had been canceled. At first, I genuinely thought it was a scam. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Because of the extremely short notice and lack of communication, I was forced to scramble at the last minute. Despite planning meticulously, I arrived late to my graduation and nearly missed the opportunity to walk across the stage. I was only notified of the cancellation because I called to confirm; there was no proactive outreach from the company. Very little professionalism, accountability, or genuine remorse was shown. The stress and disappointment caused on such an important day were completely avoidable. I can only imagine how devastating this would be if it were for an event such as a wedding. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against booking with this company.
