One of the most unprofessional and worst companies ever disgusting got them to do a yard clean and at first after negotiation, she called me 420 including tax, for junk that can fit all in a 20 yard bin which I thought OK, that's Fine so when they showed up the guys straight away, started taking pictures and talking to the manager lady on the phone, which I knew something Was up because that's how it starts. He handed me over the phone to speak to the manager. I spoke with when I made the booking she Starts telling me because there's other stuff and that they're all over the backyard which by the way is a small residential home she started saying because Of that the price was At first 550 plus tax I'm like we agreed on 400+ tax She started saying that I said is just gonna be fence wood, which was not true. I did say fence wood, and a couple of other things, but they were all equivalent. To a 20 yard bin size of stuff so it doesn't matter what they were. It wasn't anything crazy like heavy machinery or confetti that you have to pick up all over the ground or anything biohazard Simply chopped up tub, couple of doors, most of it fence wood, and some sheet metal and also this is the funny part that she thought they can drive up to the pieces and just dump it right away wow so because they have to take 10 steps to the bin to throw it that just has an extra $150 in my opinion was just excuses to add more money so they can take advantage of me And because they're already there puts me in a tough situation cause I needed the stuff gone so after arguing back-and-forth, I said OK I'll do 500 which was already $100 more than we agreed on and I'll do that Even though I didn't want to because I feel like that's dirty business and she knew that and she didn't care and she insisted that she wanted GST on top of the 500 which comes up to 525 I said I already came up $100 just include the tax into it. She was not having it. She didn't even care it's that or they're just gonna leave. It took us 20 minutes to argue over $25 again. I'm thinking they're already here. It's been two days since we booked this. I don't have to wanna go make another appointment With another company cause that's gonna take him longer so they took advantage because of that situation and had no choice but to do it So they started to do the work and it was very sloppy and lazy like one guy was out of shape and old and the young guy was OK but also a little bit lazy they were there for an hour and 45 minutes and 45 minutes of that was just relax talking and taking long breaks and hour worth of work for them to dump it into the bin when they started, I had a lock on the door gate and the key was not working because I think the lock was corroded so I said it was OK for them to cut it off. They ended up damaging the vinyl siding and the door lock With a electric machine cutter because they couldn't hold it still so they rough it up a bit If they have to replace that vinyl post and that gate lock assembly Way over $150 so at first, I asked the guy to take a bit off. He quickly said no and started arguing back- that I said that was OK but it wasn't he thought he can get away with the damage or I was too stupid to notice that or was gonna do anything he was talking with his manager that lady on the phone who gave me a quote and the guy must've gotten really angry because she must've been mad he said or something and then he's like you know what you don't have to pay anything. I'll take care of it. It's free. Then he said take 100 off pay 400 that's it OK cause at first I wanted $50 off and he said no and that's when the argument started I was gonna just take $50 off, but then after he Made it into a bigger problem I said no you know what I'm not gonna take that so I stuck on my original hundred dollars off that he offered. I found Bye Bye Junk through an ad on Kijiji and they were very prompt in messaging me back. They were easy to deal with and set up a quick meet up to give me a quote on removing a pile of wood from an old deck in my backyard (and a bunch of branches). I will not be using this company again 100% and would suggest anyone considering them, NOT TO. Not only did i find them to be over priced, but they also dumped a full bin on my driveway due to a "non payment" issue. Payment was offered by credit card and was refused stating they only wanted a cash payment or payment by e-transfer. Not only do i find this to be a very unprofessional way to handle the situation, I find it to be a selfish and ignorant way to deal with it, showing little to no care about the people surrounding the situation who are not involved. Im sure this company will be hearing about this more as i will be persuing this matter with the city and bylaw. If i could have put 0 stars I would have. I strongly suggest contacting waste managment and getting a bin from them, they offer way better service at a much more comptetive price.
