Thank you to the other Yelpers who mentioned that there is no customer bathroom available. I made a stop nearby first for that. Yes, there is no bathroom which is unfortunate as I would have had to leave if I didn't know that in advance. I wish they would consider adding a bathroom as emergencies happen, even if you prepare. Price, selection, quality and unique variety (lots of arts and crafting materials) all great. Super clean and organized so well! Team members were all so nice and seemed like they really liked working there!! That's a good sign. I can't wait to return. I bought a car full of toys, shoes, craft materials, and kitchenware. Oh, and a fab lamp!! The parking lot made me nervous though!! This place was packed on a Thursday at 1:30 pm. There was a line of cars down the street waiting to enter the lot, and cars were backing up so close to others, watched two accidents nearly happen while waiting for a spot. Outside of the fact that all items are second hand, and therefore cheaper than a brand new item, the prices are a little higher than other thrifts. However - it's very clean and very well organized, and that requires a lot of staff hours. Everyone that works there knows what they are doing - it's a well oiled machine. Nope, wont do that, asked if I could buy a whole other set and get discounted for the value of the single bottle? Nope, they wouldn't do that. The girl called for a manager. A guy named Cedric came and refused to help. In fact, he had a HUGE chip on his shoulder over the situation, in spite of the fact that I brought the packaging with it with the barcode and he could have easily got another sale out of it. I went back a few weeks later and the same manager was staring at me like I was a shoplifter or something. It was awful. I absolutely won't be back, but that's probably how they want it. I was treated how you would treat someone who you wanted to know you didn't want them back. I didn't have my receipt (I had the card I paid with, which they wouldn't look up, even though I literally returned an item like a decade ago, and thats EXACTLY how they looked up my purchase). I found the receipt once I got home, but didn't bother going back. It literally wasn't worth the gas at that point to make a second trip. Their prices are ludicrous too. You think, oh prices are going up because the cost to ship is going up, but they've literally retagged items that were already in the store with higher prices. Very slimy vibe.

There are overhead signs to guide you which is helpful, but it felt a bit like you'd have to hunt for items on shelves as everything was packed close together. I know nothing about home repair and maintenance. Not a damn thing. That didn't stop me from buying…read morea house. And houses need work. There are some projects that are larger, which require professionals. But dammit, some things I should be able to do myself, even if I lack the knowledge or the tools. But going to the big box home stores fills me with a sense of dread. They are overwhelmingly large, it's hard to find anyone who can help you, and the whole experience leaves me drained, dizzy, and nauseated. So I had what I considered a fairly clever idea. Why don't I just call the small, local, neighborhood hardware store, and see if they can help me solve my minor home repair and maintenance challenges? I'll confess that I called another store first before reaching out to Jack's. But it was at Jack's where I found the help, patience, and expertise that I so desperately needed! Project number one was removing the gunk from between brick pavers on my patio, filling them with silicone sand, and other spring yard maintenance. I had no tools beyond the phone in my hand. But Dan, on the other end of the line, walked me through the tools and equipment I would need. He told me the prices, took my order and payment over the phone, and had everything ready for a semi-contactless pick up! That went so well, I returned for project number two, replacing the window well covers that had cracked. Now I am the proud owner of my very first ratchet set! At least, I think that's what it was called. I thought I was going to need some power tool to do the job, and was prepared to drop a lot of money, but I walked out with a bill of about $30... and a Twinkie. Don't judge. It was for my daughter. Needless to say, I have no intention of ever setting foot again in one of those big box home stores. I have Jack's, and it's fantastic!
