What a fun experience!! We went to the farmer's market and walked inside the shops and loved seeing everything! Parking can be found behind the farmer's market. There is a lot where you can pay by spaces (about $2 per an hour, very affordable). There are bathrooms inside on the top floor and tables and chairs scattered throughout where you can eat lunch that can be purchased downstairs or at the farmer's market. We bought Pad Thai for $7 from Baan Phad Thai in the farmer's market and it was delicious!! We also found two amazing houseplants, Roos Rois Coffee, and fresh Apple Cider! Will definitely come back because this farmer's market and shops are fun to walk through and have unique items! read more

Kerrytown Market & Shops is a cute little spot with lots of stores and vendors inside. The Market part itself feels like a teeny tiny Pike Place Market - it has a fish counter (they'll cook up some fish dishes for you too), a little grocery area, deli counter, produce, etc. I also saw a pizza counter but that was closed when we were there. The shops are varied and include a toy store, Ann Arbor Spice Merchants, Fustini's Oils and Vinegars, a wine store, consignment shop, a Sweetwater's Coffee & Tea, a Pilates studio, and more. Note that all the shops may have different hours of operation as we were there on a Monday and not everything was open. There's also a farmers market here on Saturday and Wednesday. Be sure to download the Park Ann Arbor app as you'll probably have to park on the nearby streets to check out Kerrytown Market & Shops. Cute spot to take out of towners! read more

Visited on a day trip on a cold Saturday. Very charming and had tons of fun, unique shops. Prices were slightly high, but not too crazy, considering many items were artisan and handmade. We loved the uniqueness of the items curated. It was very busy, but not too terrible where it made it hard to move around. We enjoyed lunch and were able to find a seat quickly for our party of 5 immediately, which was awesome. read more

Truly, this place is your one stop shop for everything you could possibly need. There's a market, coffee shop, tons of restaurants, tons of unique, artisan goods shops, clothing, jewelry, oils & vinegars, smokery, the list goes on! Not to mention, they have their own set of bells here! We come by here everytime we are visiting Ann Arbor. My wife likes Spun (the yarn shop). I also visit the unique markets and gift shops. Parking is very convenient. I haven't gone to this area for the farmer's market. So I can't comment on that). read more

I used to work around here right out off school, so this neighborhood is near and dear to my heart! For Ann Arbor, the Kerrytown Shops are a breath of creative air compared to the mass market stores overtaking the rest of U of M's campus and downtown A2. You can be sure to find artisanal, quality products, locally, regionally and internationally sourced, with a unique point of view and a thoughtfully curated touch. This applies to food and wine, apparel, toys, jewelry, housewares and other home goods that can be found here. The farmer's market on Saturday mornings--though not very expansive--is a leisurely experience and positive boon for the local entrepreneurs. Sure the prices are probably a bit higher but it's an opportunity to support cottage industries and local farms, and brings a vibrancy to the Midwest shopping experience that is noticeably lacking in big box retail. read more

A great market filled with a beautiful fish counter (they'll even cook things up for ya while you wait!), another counter housing some tasty yet well priced meats, some produce, cheese, and other dry goods for all your grocery needs. Add that to Spice Merchants for spices, Everyday Wines for booze, and Fustino's for oil's and vinegars and you're all set. Wednesdays and Saturday's step outside for a visit the Farmer's Market. For the home, Found will hook you up with lovely decor and found objects for all those art and craft projects you've had bouncing around your head, a couple lovely kids shops housing toys (Mudpuddles) and clothing (Elephant Ears), a lovely paperie and home goods shop (Hollander's) and other jewelry and clothing stores for perusing as well. ***REVIEW FOR SPARROW KITCHEN*** This is a little corner stand in Kerrytown, across from Sweetwaters and next to the check out register. They make sandwiches, salads, or burritos. There is a board of suggested items or grab a paper and marker to build your own. Now I am not a sandwich person, but I do love zingerman's sourdough, and was eager to try a sandwich with quality items. Bacon, avocado, brie, lettuce, mayo and red onion on sourdough. Now this is not the healthiest combo, but I was going to flavor and fill. SCORE!!!! I macked my sandwich as soon as I got back to my desk and I am ready to go get another one. Maybe try another combo. Especially since my first sandwich was only $6! And they give you a little treat of a small berry cup with every sandwich. (maybe salads too, stay tuned) I took off a star for the grumpy gal behind the counter and the akward wait time, but they got the star back for having honey cup mustard on the menu. Although I haven't bought much, as the shops are primarily novelties compared to stuff I actually 'need,' it's still soothing and relaxing to browse, visit and dream for an afternoon. read more

For starters I am a fan of all Markets, especially indoor year round ones and I was excited to see Ann Arbour had one as well. I give it 4 stars since it has all the aspects I like, local venders, fresh meats, fish, bread, knick knacks but compaired to North Market in Columbus, Findaly Market in Cincinatti, or my favorite Pike Place Market in Seattle, Kerrytown just can't compare. Granted, Ann Arbour is way smaller than any of those citys but still even the set up is strange, there are alot of dead ends so that it doesn't flow naturally and you end up having to go the same way back. The isles are pretty tight, no fun if its full or you have bags to schlepp. Upstairs is the clothing, fun to see but nothing really worth buying IMO. Downstairs since we were just visiting I had no use for fresh meats or fish, so I did the usual and got something at the little bakery stand. 2 girls cute as a button selling amazing looking pastries I could not pass up. Pricey, but not unusual at Markets I couldn't pas sup the $4!! 7 layer bar and the peanut butter and triple chocolate cookies she just pulled out of the oven. All 3 were out of this world good, how can a gooey warm cookie not be good, same for a bar loaded with everything my little heart desires? Yes, that bakery was great, the market cute and fun to walk through, but doesn't take more than an hour for sure, its pretty small. read more

So many interesting little niche stores, so much to see. There's so much to see and do here, from places to grab a meal or a cappuccino to shopping for clothes, gifts, toys, housewares, gourmet food, and wines. There's even a salon upstairs. For me, Found is where it's at. It's an amazing little gift shop featuring upcycled and vintage items and I fell in love with it the first time I stepped foot inside. The cute little wine shop downstairs features some really nice wines and caters to my inner oenophile. There's also this amazing stationery shop that is an ephemera junkie's delight. You can waste a whole weekend hitting up all of the shops. There's even a nice open-air farmer's market located outside. This is one of Kerrytown's treasures and one of Ann Arbor's finest gems. The Kerrytown market is so paradigmatically Kerrytown - a cute-yet-sleekly-modern (it's all steel beams on the outside and a loft layout) consortium of eclectic shops and businesses located to the right of the Kerrytown farmer's market. It looks great. The local supermarket on the first floor is not that much better than a normal Whole Foods, but it has a Sweetwater's, an awesome high-end furniture store where everything is made from reappropriated items (e.g., tables made from scrap metal, old street signs for sale, vintage typewriters, etc.), and interesting local businesses like FarmLogs (a company that sells and supports inventory software for farms). It's a great place to wander through on a weekend, and super close to Zingerman's deli. read more

This mall is full of unique delightful shops. You can buy everything from Jewelry and toys to clothing and fine spices. It is home of the Sparrow market and kitchen, Sweetwaters, Fistolinis oils, Hollanders, and more. For a small place there is an awful lot to shop for. Be prepared to take your time because there is so much to see. Wednesday is the Ann Arbor farm market just outside. My only complaint is parking. There is never enough. read more

When you're tired of strip malls and shopping centers that have nothing but national retailers in them, this is the place to come. Kerrytown Market and Shops is chock full of local businesses selling interesting goods and services, ranging from architecture services to fine art to women's clothing. It's in a large building with two floors, and there are places to sit on a bench and relax in the air conditioning between shops as well. The Kerrytown district also encompasses the Ann Arbor Farmer's Market and Artisan Market and is the home of Bookfest. You can even ring the bells at the bell tower in Kerrytown at noon on Wednesdays and Fridays or on Saturday mornings. Kerrytown is one of those places that helps make Ann Arbor unique. read more

Although the grocery store downstairs has nice stuff, I would much rather do my produce shopping outside at the farmer's market vs inside; however, this time of year it's only open a couple of times a week. This place wasn't bad. It's like a indoor farmers market that also has a seafood and dining section. I ordered the special, Thai shrimp with basmati rice and thai coleslaw. It was nothing but fried shrimp covered in chili sauce but it was still good. Husband had a salmon burger and thought it was "ok." I tend to gravitate towards joints like this. It has a Whole Food-ish type of vibe but slightly more down to earth and a little more cramped. Parking was a bitch for a Tuesday afternoon. read more

To review this collectively, Kerrytown Shops is a great place to spend a weekend afternoon. There's something cozy-feeling to do at every turn. There's the Farmer's Market, great little lunch spots on the inside, an awesome butcher's block to get your meat grubs. You walk upstairs and can examine a range of little stores -- children's toys and clothes, women's clothing -- they tend to come and go but the gist is always the same. You can also grab some everyday wine while you're at it. Downstairs is the famous Hollander's. There's a Sweetwaters infiltrating in the atmosphere, however. It gives it a slightly uncomfortable feeling -- kind of like you have to do a double take to make sure it isn't a Starbucks. read more

After walking through the outdoor farmer's market to check out all the wonderful handmade jam/jellies and fresh fruits and vegetables, check out the two floors of food and specialty shops. There's a meat market, fish market with areas available for sitting and noshing. I found the prices to be reasonable for the foodstuffs. Once upstairs follow your nose to Spice Merchants, and don't miss Fustini's! I've never seen such a selection of olive oils in my life. Kerrytown Market is a food lovers dream! This is a great place to visit if you're in the area--a really great place--but not necessary a place you should travel a long distance to visit. In the markets: - Eve... Ann Arbor's best restaurant. Pricey, delicious. The chef, Eve, was featured on Top Chef. - Found... A store of knick-knacks... candles, decorations, notebooks, jewelry. If you want a fancy little gift for someone, come here. - Fustini's... Flavored olive oils and vinegars. Delicious, but you can only get large bottles, and the prices start around $15. - Hollander's... A three-level art and kitchen store. Very high end. Come here for handmade artisan papers, boxes of notecards, cookware, tea kettles. In the basement they run a school where you can learn to sew books, etc. - Monahan's... BEST fish market in Ann Arbor. Also, sashimi-grade fish, pre-prepared meals, recipes, and general fish-cooking supplies. - Sparrow Market... BEST meat in Ann Arbor. The rest of the supermarket feels overpriced (though the avocados are a good deal), albeit good. - Spice Merchants... a local chain. Fantastic! Lots of loose spices and teas to buy by the pound. Some quirky jewelry, peanut butters, and gift boxes. - Yamato... yummy traditional sushi. There are also a couple clothing stories, a jewelry store, a salon, a coffee shop, a toy store, a kid's store, and a Korean fast-food restaurant. Plenty of parking when the Farmer's Market is not going on (so, any time but Saturday and Wednesday mornings). And even then, still a nice amount of parking. read more

Don't know that I can add much to what's already been said; great market with lots of good food. Some of the other shops in the building are a bit overpriced and not my thing (like the shop that sells olive oil in lots of weird flavors...I'd rather just have good quality, buttery olive oil itself). But I did like the women's clothing store toward the back of the building (found a pair of Lucky jeans for $40, which was more than I wanted to spend, but not bad...they had very nice jewelry). Also absolutely fantastic is the farmer's market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. read more

Great place to visit when winter became exasperating in Toledo! Lots to see, eat, drink and do! Love the Hand on Museum for kids as well!
