Yes, my time is worth something, but when I found out what they do here, I became an instant fan. They recycle landscape material AND CONCRETE. They compost materials and sell the resulting by-products: base rock, fill soil, top soil, planting soil, compost, and more. Prices are very competitive, and they claim to supply Lowe's and Home Depot also, but buy direct for near wholesale pricing. Besides, you can feel good about supporting a great environmental firm. Keep it out of the landfill; recycle and reuse...and SAVE MONEY. Delivery to Antioch can be $165, so unless you have a place to store it, you might end up doing what I do and collect material as needed. Your neighbors will probably appreciate that, too. Print the pricing page on their website to act as a coupon...just in case there is a price change and haven't updated the site yet. (You can get lucky, like I did.) I like to bring business to locals, but in this case, a little drive for some savings and a feel-good, eco-friendly purchase is a smart choice.

They opened up at 7am...and no I didn't get there that early...I dropped off kids at school, came home and traded trucks with hubby. Then brought down my plywood from 2 old skateboard ramps my kids were done using and a few other scraps of wood. I also had 10 old cement deck pillars. They accept them without the wood block, luckily the termites did that for me! The deck pillars were under the minimum fee of $8 bucks. The plywood was categorized under construction/demo and I was charged the minimum of $9 bucks. They have all different prices for Green Waste, Wood, Concrete/Asphalt/Brick/Stone. Call or visit their website for more info. They also sell compost, topsoil, planting soil, organic fertilizer, and aggregate (rocks) products per cubic yard. This is a basic cut and dry rock or wood kinda recycling place. No cans or bottles etc.. Welcomed with a wave and drove right up to a smile on lady's face. She looked at my load and said that she remembered talking to me the night before. Very friendly and cheery! I will go back here to buy the pea gravel that I'll need in a few weeks.

I purchased their 420 gardening mix which THEY THEMSELVES RECOMMEND for gardening purposes. When I started watering the soil, as the water contacted the soil it became apparent that is was mostly sand. I proceeded to do a quick soil test where you put your soil in a jar and shake it. The contents will fall on to the bottom and separate into layers. To my eye, it looked like it was 60-70% sand. I kept calling asking questions about the soil, BUT Theresa, the owner kept going in circles, repeating their no refund policy and stating they haven't had issues with the soil. Understandably so I got impatient and upset with Theresa and told her that the product is a scam. I will admit, I was upset and hung up on her as she DID NOT APOLOGIZE ONCE. She kept telling me "I'm sorry you feel this way but the soil is good, I don't know what to tell you." The whole time I was on the phone with her, which was multiple times, she never told me that she was the owner. I asked to speak to a manager. She gave a number to call. Well, it turns out she referred me to her soil supplies. This guy mixes the soil himself. According to him it is 50% sand. A quick google search will tell you that soil should not contain more than 25% sand. Their supplier, whom Theresa referred me to, told me the sand content is 50%!!!!!!!!!! I spent 4K thousand dollars on this garden, paid guys to fill the beds and not I have 5 cubic yards of unusable soil. I posted about this in my local Facebook page and other people are reporting the same issue. I'm being quoted thousands to dig it up and dispose of it. This soil should not be marketed as a gardening soil. I'm sure it's great for other things but not gardening. It is a scam and it will ruin your gardening dreams. I also purchased some pea gravel, that I love. But their gardening mix is flawed and needs fixing. Please don't make the same mistake as I did. This business has no integrity and goes as far as to slander their customers and make it out to be the customers fault. I hung up on Theresa because of many reasons one for them being that I'm severely ill from very difficult medication I'm taking and running to the bathroom with nausea and vomiting multiple times per day. The owner has since attacked me personally online on Facebook where I asked if people were having issues with the soil. She hasn't apologized or attempted to try to remedy any of it.
