The sweetness of the date & walnut jam was a nice balance to the umami flavor of the beef. The bun held up well with all the ingredients in-between which made for a pleasant dining experience...if you've ever had a burger on a disintegrating bun, you'll appreciate a good quality bun like they use here. The Parmesan and Truffle Chips we're just okay. Not much parmesan and any truffle oil used was not detectable. I would probably just recommend the regular chips instead. Overall I'm recommending Butch Annie's for when you're in Cambridge and craving a high quality burger. They also have a pretty good Classic Rock playlist going (for your listening pleasure) so your ears don't get jealous of your tongue.

As a result, I wasn't able to try them, and they were nice enough to let me chose between two sides that didn't contain dairy -- both salad-esque. From the people I ate with, it seemed that the onion rings were generally pretty average. The avocado bacon burger was pretty good, however the bacon was a bit different than the usually crispy American bacon I'm use to. Wish there could have been a bit more avocado as well. For £9.85 a burger, it seems relatively pricey and I probably wouldn't go back due to the slow service and issue with the dairy products

I didn't enjoy the potato tower as much as I could as it wasn't very creamy and had potato skins in it - not really my scene. Along with my meal I had a delicious bottle of red. I can't remember what it was but our waitress took the time to help us out with the wine list. The price was fairly reasonable and I was happy with the service - overall this is a great place and I'd recommend to Cambridge dwellers and visitors. One thing to note: the toilets are outside and then inside another building. Do not be alarmed if a staff member directs you to the toilet and all of a sudden you're in the street!

The whole meal came to £30-40 each including drinks which wasn't too bad at all considering we all had steak or fish. Overall I had a great time, the staff were friendly and efficient and if I could give it 4.5 I would. It falls shy of a 5 unfortunately though.

All in all, this place is cheap enough that it doesn't hurt to visit, but I won't pretend to be enthusiastic about the quality.
