Paul and his team were amazing--we really couldn't have asked for a better document of our wedding. They traveled to Boston for our wedding from New Jersey. They were a pleasure to work with on the day of--organized, fun, unobtrusive, and put at ease. We're really picky about photos and video, and dislike most of the ones we see from other weddings, which often feel a bit overwrought and 'wedding'-y. BOM documented the wedding exactly to our tastes: down-to-earth, extremely well composed, and captured the day beautifully. They also did lovely posed Korean-style couple photos in addition, which was important to us. Adam, the videographer, put together a wonderful video that was also exactly what we were looking for (both a short trailer-style and a longer one, about an hour and a quarter). It similarly felt like a very natural and satisfying document of our wedding. He was also extremely patient and spent a long time working with us, accommodating our feedback to get the video exactly to our preferences. I doubt we could have found either photos or videos better from anywhere else, even booking them separately, and the package together from BOM was a great deal. Paul shot our daughter's First Birthday party. I've seen his wedding photos, and they were amazing. Paul got to the venue before I did, getting all the detail shots and even helping with setting up the decorations. Communication was seamless and pleasant. My husband and I initially did our engagement photos with another vendor but made the switch because we weren't happy with the photos. I just recently found out that there are other photographers who have imitated Paul's work shot for shot from our engagement session. He's truly that amazing. Fast forward in time, Paul and his assistant showed up early on my wedding day and immediately began working. Paul is simply the best! My husband and I had a photo shoot at Central Park back in 2016 and I fell in love with his style. So in 2017, I asked Paul to please take my maternity photo shoot and of course, it was AMAZING! I literally cannot say enough good things about Paul. We hired him for our wedding, but ended up meeting him months sooner for our engagement shoot that came included in our already incredible price for photo + video. We had met with so many photographers and never connected and I randomly found Paul on Google and we instantly knew we wanted to work with him. First, he was so responsive and flexible with dates/times... even let me change the engagement shoot to a completely different day. He made the whole time so fun, listened to us & we did not feel forced at all to pose in any way. I am not exaggerating when I say I was BLOWN away by the results. We are incredibly fortunate to be the clients of BoM photography. Ever since seeing Paul's work we knew that this was the team that we wanted to cover our wedding. It was really difficult to find a photographer for our wedding because we are incredibly picky, and I dabble in amateur photography, so I have incredibly high standards for both composition and technical execution. However, Paul's work speaks for itself, but it also tells a story. The photographs move you, they elicit an emotional response and show you something that likely escaped your eye on the magical day. Paul's photographs are unique, his technique is flawless, and his creativity is unparalleled. He captured moments that happened in a millisecond and such moments made all the difference. BoM photography is a husband and wife team and both were incredibly easy to work with. They are also incredibly likeable, polite, professional and obviously passionate about their craft. The engagement shoot with them was a lot of fun and we noticed how quickly Paul uses the environment around him to capture something truly original. On the wedding day, they were there early and left late. I felt like they did not stop shooting the entire time that they were there. In the end we got photographs that were beautifully edited, and captured our special day in all its glory. The editing is incredibly detail oriented. Each photograph (1700 total) was edited with meticulousness and care. It is probably the only time that I see a photograph and do not have a craving to start editing the image in RAW. These photographers are amazing! I hired them for a very simple wedding in Long Island and wasn't sure at all what to expect. Well, I was so pleased with the results. They were very professional, creative, thoughtful, and understanding when it came to working within the commotion of a wedding and creating great photos. There were 2 photographers that just made it look easy. They took 700 pictures, and were able to provide me with all of them within 2 week after my wedding. They also beautifully (and quickly!) retouched all of my pictures and were able to put them up on a password protected online gallery. The final product was amazing to everyone I showed them to. Each photo had personality, flair, and really captured each subject's spirit as well. Also, on their website they provided a concise, story editorial blog posting on the wedding, which was really a great plus. It had about 15 of the best photos, it was so easy to send to everyone I knew; especially all those distant friends and family that couldn't come. The blog posting really made people feel like they were there, so I don't have to rush to get prints at all. I would definitely recommend these photographers for anything, but they obviously have a special touch when it comes to weddings! read more

We had them for our wedding a couple years ago. They were incredible! No one worked harder than them on that day. The photos were truly incredible! I highly recommend going with a good photographer for your wedding, even if it costs more - you wont regret it. We went with a cheap videographer and we never watch the video. We got married in Central Park West, NYC on a Sunday morning and among TONS of onlookers but their photos made it seem as if the people were just "extras" on a movie set behind our special day. BOM Photography literally RAN around making sure to capture every important moment. At one point, they told us just to keep walking... I thought they had disappeared but like some miracle paparazzi they were sneaking candid shots of us walking and talking, laughing, smiling... plenty of photo-journalistic shots that really captured the true feel of the moment and several really fun posed shots we could not have come up with ourselves. Paul and his team (Adam, Jean, Andrew) were absolutely incredible to work with. With all the uncertainty surrounding COVID weddings, we really appreciated how communicative Paul was. During the planning phase, Paul was great about answering all of our (many) questions and offering advice and honest opinions. He had us fill out a worksheet that had us think about our vision, what shots were important to us, and other details. For the big day, we had a pretty convoluted timeline (and it rained the entire day), but the whole team still made sure to get all the small & special shots we wanted, as well as some cool creative shots in the rain. We are not huge camera people, and he made us & our wedding party feel very at-ease and was great about posing us naturally. We also conveyed that we wanted a more natural & candid style, which he accommodated and captured 100%. We received our photos within a reasonable amount of time- they look amazing, and they also took more than we had anticipated. Our wedding videos also came out great and did an amazing job capturing the important parts of the night. In addition to all of this, we felt the pricing for combined photo + video was quite reasonable. My husband and I are so happy to have chosen BOM Photography! read more

We sent an email on August 8th to find out if they were available. They stated "YES". We requested for a copy of the contract to discuss negotiations and were willing to accommodate some of the revisions. They were more than willing to accommodate majority of the contract revisions. So we assumed after saying "YES" in being available and "Yes" to several of the contract revisions, we assumed they were ok in doing our wedding. So on August 21st we sent a final email to confirm the last amendments and setup our engagement photo session and sign off on the contract officially and put our reservation deposit down. Paul responds - "Hope you had a good weekend. Unfortunately I am no longer available to photograph your wedding." Now I am paraphrasing - but he essentially decided to take a vacation that week of our wedding date.. HUH? So after a month later he decides to take a trip to Europe during our wedding date, but didn't decide to tell us till August 25th. We sent the first email for availability - he said "YES", not after the second time when we sent in a entire list of contract revisions "mostly yes", and definitely by the third or fourth email - he then waits to tell us after a month later when we are ready to sign off the contract he is going to go on a family vacation, which I totally understand but right at our time? He then recommends one of his friend's to us as a backup! He wouldn't respond to my emails immediately and definitely did not return my calls except to tell me he was in meetings and then finally writes an email explaining further his reasons why he is unable to do my our wedding! I believe this is completely unprofessional and I haven't dealt with a business who says "YES" I am available but changed his mind a month later after going through contract revisions.. I would NEVER recommend this photographer to anyone since Paul wasted my time stringing us along and then telling us No after a month later going through hours of revising the contract and assuming his availability!! He responds in telling us he is taking a family vacation which I totally understand but he had to take it during exactly this time?? Something does NOT add up and I am extremely disappointed and upset that he wasted our time when we could have spent time with finding a photographer who would be truly available and not back out after going through contract revisions!! What kind of business does that? I will be filing a BBB complaint with regards to this situation! AND IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE OUR EMAIL COMMUNICATION I AM MORE THAN WILLING TO SHARE IT!! read more

We were trying to confirm a date for a while, but the possibility of rain on multiple days made it very hard. Paul was very sensitive to our desire to not shoot in the rain and was accommodating and flexible. He was leaving for vacation the day after our shoot, but he was able to rush the photos to us within a day.
