Very mixed feelings about our experience with LPS. Our wedding was in April of 2019 and LPS did both our photos and video. To state the positive, yes, LPS produces beautiful work with amazing quality. We recognize and acknowledge that the photos and videos are top-notch among others in this industry. In the end, we are very happy with the final deliverables. We received the last of of all deliverables (the hard drive containing all video footage) yesterday (10/9/2019), which is almost six full months after the wedding. However, regardless of the fact that it took almost half a year to receive photos and video of our wedding, this wasn't the biggest source of our frustration. The frustration mainly lived in the near total lack of communication from LPS. We understand that LPS is a large company that handles many, many clients at the same time. We also understand the painstaking process of photo/video editing. What we don't understand is LPS' failure to provide timely updates on where we are in the entire process. We feel that the very least LPS could've done was to provide monthly updates on how they were progressing with the final assets. The contract explicitly stated that certain assets would be delivered after a certain time period (i.e. 6 weeks after wedding, 10 weeks after wedding, etc). However, LPS failed to reach out during the days leading up to the final due date, to give us an update or confirmation on process. We were always the ones who had to reach out first to ask if we would receive our items on time. Therefore, we ended up always feeling left in the dark, wondering what was going on and chasing after something that couldn't be reached. Let's face it. LPS is not cheap. The prices are expected given the nature of their high quality. However, we started to question if it was really worth it (we paid nearly $8k)--to go through the long wait in radio silence & total darkness. My wife and I met with Jeanie and were blown away by the impressive and professional presentation we were given at their Jersey City office - we instantly felt at home. Jeanie was really informative and we didn't feel pressured at all when we were there. She asked us about our tastes, styles, and personalities, and we were able to customize packages based on what we wanted. We had several phone calls and email exchanges in the weeks leading up to the wedding to help plan out our day, and the attention to detail was on-point. On the day of the wedding, all the photographers did a great job not only with the quality of pictures taken, but with their helpful attitudes as well. They knew it was a big day for us and they helped to maximize our fun and enjoyment. If you have any doubts about picking LPS for your important day, throw them all away. We just got out photos and trailer video from our wedding. The pictures were amazing. We got about 1400 photos and I thought I'd like maybe a handful. Wrong. I love so many. They captured beautiful moments and fun moments. They captured so much that I felt like I was reliving my wedding but from different perspectives. Their trailer videos are what captured my attention and my own video was just as great. I have messages from so many family and friends saying they were crying nonstop while watching the trailer. The day of the wedding the team came early, set up so quickly and quietly they did not disturb us while we were getting ready. The team was also so patient with my bridal party (can't imagine how they can be so patient with that chaos). They also listened to everything I had wanted and made sure they captured all those moments the day of. By the end of the event I was hugging them goodbye and was a little sad to see the team go! Leading up to our wedding they were prompt in all of their responses, and their packages make the planning process very easy and straightforward. One of the best decisions we made was hiring the LPS team for our photos and video. What initially sold us was the amazing trailers posted on their website - it was clear that they knew how to tell a story and the quality looked amazing. We were a bit hesitant to go with their photographer given that it was a relatively new service they are offering, but we were swayed by their very competitive pricing and our engagement session shoot going well. Our photographer Nathan is very experienced and his photos are simply gorgeous. I will say I was frustrated day of with his posing suggestions, some of which were just too hokey and cliched, but I gave him clear feedback and he took it well so I don't fault him too much for it. I met our 2 videographers for the first time the day of our wedding and I was SO impressed with how unobtrusive they were. I met them and don't really ever remember noticing them the rest of the night. Our video is AMAZING - edited perfectly, great quality of shots and it tells a great story. Live Picture Studios was one of two video vendors that our venue (David's Country Inn) recommended. After perusing the websites of both vendors, we felt that Live Picture Studios was a better fit for us. We especially liked how their "trailers" told a story rather than just providing highlights. In fact, LPS completely focuses on telling a story rather than just recording the wedding - they are not your average videographer. It was especially interesting (and fun!) to have the staff referred to as staff on a movie set (producer, director, etc.). The price was also very reasonable and the staff that we worked with (Natasha, Taras, Brandon, Jennifer, Natalia, and Juan) were always responsive and professional. My wife and I couldn't be happier with LPS. They were super professional and responsive throughout the entire process as well as being very accommodating of a number of special requests that were made. On the wedding day they were super helpful and friendly during planned shots and invisible ninjas otherwise which was great. They never got in the way of anything and we barely even knew they were there which is nuts after looking over all the footage they collected which would imply they were everywhere. The resulting videos they gave us were absolutely fantastic. It felt like having our own personal movie trailer, just phenomenal and exactly what we wanted. One thing that really put them over the top from great to absolutely stellar was them going the extra mile to fix a screw up by our music vendor. They didn't play the right music for our ceremony and it absolutely crushed my wife. LPS to the rescue! They edited in the correct music to give us a video of how she envisioned our ceremony and it's perfect, you could never tell it was edited at all. My wife has been upset about it for months and it's finally off her shoulders now. I can't thank LPS enough for going above and beyond for us. I just wanted to share the letter my photographer sent to this company after my wedding. I cannot stress this enough. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am an amateur photographer who recently attended a wedding and was photographing a wedding for a friend. Your videographers were not only rude but were constantly placing themselves in my shots (knowing very well I was taking the pictures). I stayed out of their way - the courtesy should have been returned. Because of their lack of consideration, I had to delete close to 50 photographs because of your videographers being in the pictures and/or shining their light at me while I was trying to take the picture. This went on all day. When it came to the reception, I was told by one of your videographers "to step aside - keep out of our way - we have this." Seeing that the bride and groom had paid a large fee for your video services, I, the amateur, did just that - knowing that they could get the snap shots from the video. I now hear from the bride that the most important parts of her day were not captured for her (i.e. the cake cutting, the father/daughter dance, the "first" dance). This makes me sick to my stomach knowing that I could have taken beautiful shots for them - but instead trusted the "pros" to do their job. Needless to say, the bride, her guests and especially I will not be recommending your services to any one. I have certainly learned my lesson - I will never "step aside" again. Maybe you should teach your videographers some courtesy. They too were amateur photographers at one time. read more

I honestly wish I could give an even higher score for their value and quality of service. Khoa was so helpful in making videography work for our budget. He and his team were extremely professional and didn't miss a beat. The last vendor I booked was my videographer and that was just months before the wedding simply because of budget issues. The folks at Live Picture Studios quite simply blew us away with their work. The team they sent to our wedding was on top of every moment and did not miss anything. They worked well with our other vendors and met every request we made of them regarding video coverage. We didn't realize how wonderfully talented they were until we saw the highlight video. From the first time we met with Khoa and his team at Live Picture Studios, we knew they would be the videographers we would go with. The work on their website speaks for itself and we couldn't wait for them to give us the same exact quality. They definitely did not disappoint. The three videographers on the day of the wedding were true professionals and other than getting the staged shots that we had requested, did not bother us at all throughout the night.
