It is centrally located downtown and shares a decent sized free parking lot with a few other businesses. Inside there are a plethora of small businesses including restaurants, bakeries, a gallery, stores and the Flint Children's Museum and Store. In the back there are plenty of tables and seats to enjoy your meal or snack while there. I was just there to browse and see what they have to offer but unfortunately, I wasn't able to return to try any of the establishments. I do hope to try something on the next go around. On the day that I visited, it was clean, organized and easy to navigate; for the most part it goes around in a circle with only a few businesses e.g. pizza, ice cream place, etc. tucked in a corner. It definitely was worth stopping in to see what it was all about.

Depending on the time of year, the exterior portion of the farmers market may or may not be all that full. The vendors here are pretty unique, some a bit odd, all very friendly though, and seem one-off with not a lot of repetition of goods, which I'm actually not a huge fan of. While it does allow for more variety in the kinds of vendors you can shop at, it doesn't allow for competitive prices. If you're in the area, I would recommend making the extra bit of drive to head to the Flint Farmers Market after checking out the Davison one as well just for more options if you've got the time.

This is a grower-only market and the products are guaranteed to be from Michigan. So, if you are looking to pick up some Michigan produce, meat, cheese, baked goods, or artistries and support some local businesses this is the spot. It will be nice if this market continues to mature into something bigger and more popular. Unlike some of the larger neighboring farmers markets with permanent structures, the vendors here only use temporary event tents and therefore the overall market lacks some simple amenities. The Market is located in downtown Grand Blanc on Grand Blvd and open only on Sundays 10am to 3pm from late May thru October. It's part of the experience. Come prepared to walk a bit and you'll be fine. The vendors clearly put in a lot of effort. You can tell there's pride in what they're offering, and the market itself has a good atmosphere. That said, I didn't really find anything I needed or couldn't live without this visit. The items were fine, just not quite what I was hoping for. I do wish the vendors could get a little more bang for their buck, whether that's higher traffic, better layout, or stronger buyer energy. Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market hosts a wide variety of wonderful vendors. It has a number of…read morefarmers who provide fresh chicken and duck eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables, and a beautiful array of flowers. Some farmers specialize in organic vegetables, and there are some who offer vegetables and mushrooms used in Asian cooking. There are a number of bakeries represented, including Cannelle's, which offers fresh banquettes and sweet and savory pastries. Ground Control serves delicious coffee, hot and iced. Try my favorite, the iced vanilla latte. It's to die for. The artisans in the market sell items made out of wood, beads and ceramics. There are lovely wooden bowls and cutting boards, jewelry, pottery and even soaps and perfumes, just to name a few. There is even an artisan who sharpens knives, scissors and other blades. My family has a CSA with the Goetz Farm so we're at the market every week to pick up our box of fresh fruit and vegetables. I can tell you this market is very popular and well attended. It's a great place to grab a cup of coffee and a donut and sit down to enjoy the parade of adults, children, and dogs passing by. During the market season, there are several celebrations. I'm particularly fond of Halloween when kids, adults and dogs come in costume. I've been to a lot of farmers markets in my time, and Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market is still my favorite. There's parking surrounding the building as it shares lot space with the municipal offices of the city. It's quite a large space, great for expos, fairs, etc. I could even see it as a wedding venue; which it likely is. The are food services spaces and bathrooms inside of the building, and a nice outdoor sitting/dining space.
