We took our car to Cliff Barney and gave him a large down payment of $10,000 to start the project…read more Cliff did not contact us regularly so we started asking for updates on progress at about the 6 month mark. We learned he had just recently moved the car into the back shop and we were able to meet with him and observed that at that point he had only disassembled the interior and cleaned out the trunk. My husband contacted him frequently asking for updates and was given one excuse after another why he wasn't further along or why he couldn't do the work and he would ask for more time. Eventually he stopped answering calls and text messages and would hide or not answer the door when my husband tried to contact him about the car. On one such occasion Cliff did not answer text messages or calls so my husband went to the shop and another "employee" let him in to look at the car. At this point Cliff had the car for a year and my husband verified that Cliff didn't get any further than the interior and trunk. My husband tried to contact Cliff several times to get the car and the money back, but Cliff refused to respond. We were eventually able to contact him by using a different phone number, and were able to get the car back, but he refused to refund any of the money stating that he no longer had it. He didn't seem at all bothered by the prospect of having a small claim filed against him which leads me to believe this is not the first time he has done this. We believe that once he spent our money elsewhere, he had no intention of completing the work on our car, and he basically stole our money.

I have had Clifford do tough jobs I couldn't do on my own. His rates are reasonable and his work…read morehas always been excellent and reliably done. Best shop around! 5 stars.

I had three repairs done by Master Auto. All were timely, done well, and a great value. I take all…read moremy cars here now! These guys rock! They fixed an issue the Chevy dealership caused in my Sonic, that nobody could figure out. Well, except Master Auto. They figured out the car was filled with the incorrect brake fluid, promptly diagnosed and fixed the issue.

If you go to Master Auto all you're going to get is empty pockets, they are charging $170 an hour…read morewhich they don't tell you when you drop off your vehicle by the way, I went in there to have three things done one of them being somewhat major my tea case needed split and a weak fixed. I told them it was because of a pinhole rubbing problem inside the t case that happens underneath the pump I told them exactly where it was going to be what the problem was everything the other two things were simply take a court of ATF out of my transmission and put a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer back in, and change my spark plugs and wires. When I dropped off my truck it had three quarters of a tank of gas, and I left them for 12 packs of soda for doing the complete job as a thank you now 2 Days later I get a call saying there's a hole in your TKS and there's nothing we can do about it, and do you realize how thick that Lucas oil stabilizer is his exact words were I am not going to sit here and watch it drain down the tube for 3 hours those were his exact words I'm sure he would have charged me for those 3 hours of sitting around too, so he denied to do that after accepting the job.. FYI you put the Lucas oil stuff next to something warm like in an engine bay and in 10 minutes, guess what it pours out just fine. They then told me I could come and pick up my truck it was ready to go and they had changed the spark plugs and wires. I got down there and he charged me just under $400 and in the end all that $400 got me was a plug in wire change out.. they put down 2.5 hours of Labor time just for the spark plugs and wires, and my truck went from three quarters of tank of gas to a quarter a tank of gas.. so what you guys do use my truck to run to the parts store all day? At $170 an hour none of this should have been an issue none of this should have taken place and I should have been able to go in pay what I was supposed to pay which would have been around 1,200 bucks and drive my truck home happy. Don't come to these guys unless you just need an oil change, battery change, oh and I guess we won't forget about spark plugs hahaha
