She loves this place and usually finds several items to purchase while shopping. On my most recent visit I found a Corning Ware Coffee Pot ($89.95). It's probably the only piece she doesn't have in the set but she said she could get it cheaper; my mom, she loves to wheel and deal. She said "I got the tea pot though." I have to admit this place is packed full of stuff and can be a tight squeeze through the isles when its busy and can feel somewhat claustrophobic at times but its still worth the stop when shopping in downtown Sanford. I noticed since my last visit, it has become a bit more cluttered in here, one of the isles was packed with so much stuff you couldn't walk down it; work in progress, I guess? Some highlights on this visit were the collection of beautifully decorated music boxes, the Vaseline and Amber Nilotus Glass, the variety of vintage glass and stained-glass lamps, Corning Ware items, the glass fuel lamps, vintage clothing - blazers and hats, the variety of wall art, jewelry, watches, pocket knives, the Flea World shopping bags, and so much more. Staff here are always friendly and helpful; pricing is moderate to high in my opinion. My only complaint is that it can feel crowded in here especially when its busy and it can be a major problem if you're with someone who has a disability, there is literally no way you can get in here with a wheel chair or walker. Other than that, I highly recommend shopping here while visiting Sanford.

This ministry provides a holistic approach by helping women to get jobs, job training, and education. They also offer bridge housing and a food pantry. It was a pleasure to visit this large and inviting thrift store during a recent visit to Sanford. They had a selection of furniture, household goods, clothes, accessories, jewelry, shoes, small appliances, and children's toys and clothes. There is a boutique section and they also sell discounted items from the Publix bakery. In a backroom they have a treasure trove of items for one dollar. I had so much fun exploring this store and peeking around corners and opening cabinets to discover even more items. Different weekly sales are on the board out front. This is such a wonderful cause to support. If I lived locally this thrift store would be on my weekly rotation.

They get their inventory from purchasing storage units and select the best items for sale in their store. Treasure Haven sells furniture, clothing, home goods, movies, books, art, accessories, and more. There was a wedding dress, interesting jewelry, and Gucci boots that retail for over $600. It is a little cramped in the store but that just adds to the feeling that you are on a hunt for a gem. You never know what you will find around a corner or in a basket. The lady who was working was friendly and welcoming. Although I didn't find that thing I couldn't live without I still had fun searching through the inventory. A store with stuff…read more The Village Shoppe is a small thrift shop that is located on the Lutheran Haven Retirement Center. I suspect most of the stuff is donated and that the proceeds go the retirement home. The shop isn't large, just a couple of rooms but they also have plants and garden stuff outside. Certainly not a place to spend a whole lot of time browsing. The shop has a whole lot of different things stuffed away inside the rooms. Assorted gifts items, lots of greeting cards, clothing, jewelry and household things. Of course the plants are outside. We found some cool things including a nice compass still in the original package, some fun jewelry and a cool little trash can with fish and ocean creatures on it. Of course they are some religious pictures and items too. The prices were dirt cheap and the lady working here very pleasant. A cool little shop to find something unique. Plus you know your purchase will probably go to help some old Lutheran.

I'm so glad the denizens of Yelp had already reviewed this particular locale, because I knew I was in for a treat. I only spent a few bucks but I walked out with a fun assortment of treasures!
