Visited this shop for the first time today. l loved Amy's selection of home decor, purses, jewelry etc. Purchased this great little sign there. I will definitely be back. Cute shop! Great selection. Customer service is warm and personable.

Amy's is a recently opened consignment shop that just popped up in the new shopping center behind the BP on the corner of Chickasaw and Curry Ford. I would've never even know that it was there if it wasn't for a flyer that I received in the mail advertising their grand opening. I stopped by today after work to give it a go... First impression: REALLY nice and friendly owner. She immediately approached me and asked if I needed any help. Wasn't pushy... she pointed me in the right direction after I told her my size. The store is pretty tiny and quite cluttered. She apologized for the mess and told me that they had just received a large amount of clothes that she was still putting away. I spent a while just sifting through the racks... and I didn't find anything that really caught my eye. There was a pair of Roxy shorts that still had the tag on them (retail for $39.50) - she was asking $9.00. She tried to be very helpful and offered up a few suggestions, but nothing was really my style. A lot of the new stuff she had (tags still on) looked cheap to me. I think I will give Amy's another chance. Consignment shops are kinda weird like that... one day you found a lot of awesome stuff; other days you really don't find anything. The owner says that they get new items in constantly, so I would suggest checking in and seeing what you find!

    I love Amys style !!!

I love Amy's Walk-in Closet. Amy is the only person that can style me. I follow her on IG she has the best prices as well.

We arrived an hour before opening but the sign said open, door was locked. We came back an hour later and had the pleasure of meeting Amy (shop owner), she was great, very friendly. The shop was clean and organized, good selection of plus size. A lot of great brands and boho items. Prices were a little on the high side (bought one shirt $9, another I wanted was $14)

I will say though, compared to other cities and other Goodwill locations I've been to, this one seems to price items quite a bit higher than I'm used to for a thrift store. Genuinely for a lot of items this store is equal to or more expensive than what you'd pay at Ross, T.J maxx, etc. Outside of the pricing, my other complaint is definitely the parking situation. You honestly just have to catch it on a good day when it's not too busy so you can secure a spot in their parking lot. There is street parking available, but it's a very busy area, so it's not very likely you'll find something easily. Just a PSA for anyone planning a trip. That being said, the staff is overall pretty friendly and I always receive good customer service whenever I visit. They also have a pretty decent selection. I'm usually able to find higher quality clothes and shoes, and the store stays very organized and clean inside, which is definitely a plus.

This isn't your giant typical Goodwill, this boutique is much smaller and primarily clothing (with some limited home goods). I loved perusing the aisles and if I wanted to craft a full wardrobe here, I could. I saw that a certain color tags were discounted, but I couldn't find any of those tags. Regardless, I found a pair of really nice anthology pants with the tags still on! It was almost $30, but the tags showed an original price of $220. Another big plus- they have fitting rooms! They are a bit dirty, but thankful for not having to try the pants over my shorts. Overall, you can find some good stuff here, but the prices are pretty high for a thrift store.

I physically was putting a house up with blocks of wood that were very heavy and my nail gun well, I will say I was scared of it. This was in July I was roasting and got a little overheated and had to rest. I'm happy to help again when a team gets together but I now know what to say yes to and what to say no to. Don't get me wrong I love doing the hard stuff but I don't think I was physically fit enough to really do a good job. So next time I need to be like inside the house painting the walls and air-conditioning.

This non profit organization has been assisting Winter Park for over 80 years. It has quite a storied history of helping the community. Founded on April 16, 1917,this organization was under United Relief Society, which began as a group of local women delivering groceries and clothes to those in need. In April 1921 it was renamed the Winter Park Welfare Association before becoming the Winter Park Benefit Shop in October 1935 in the space now occupied by Pannullo's Italian Restaurant. In the 1940's the shop moved to Lynn Avenue for 60 years in the space that now houses the Winter Park Welcome Center. It was relocated to its current location next to City Hall in 2006 and is in the city's old jail. The windows still have bars on them. The Winter park Benefit Shop is operated solely by donations and volunteers. The accept donations and inventory is always changing. During the winter they will donate blankets to the homeless. All of the proceeds from the shop goes to help local charities chosen by the Benefit Shop's Board of Directors. These include the American Council of the Blind, Harbor House of Central Florida, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, New Hope for Kids, the Winter Park Day Nursery and many others. After looking through the store I saw that prices are very inexpensive. They had a few rooms of clothing, accessories, and household goods. Besides raising money for charity, they want to be able to help the community get the low cost items they might need like things for a baby or an outfit for a job interview. I left with a darling ceramic angel and a few other knick knacks. I will definitely be back to visit the friendly and cheerful ladies of the Winter Park Benefits Shop the next time I am in town..
