I probably could have spent hours here! I was in town for a tattoo appointment, and needed to kill some time. I was looking for a thrift store but when this popped up after a quick search, I knew I had to check it out! I'm so glad the denizens of Yelp had already reviewed this particular locale, because I knew I was in for a treat. I only spent a few bucks but I walked out with a fun assortment of treasures! I got some vintage domino pieces I plan to turn into jewelry as well as some old toy pieces, etc. There is such a random assortment of odds and ends, from pure vintage items to glorified junk--you have to be willing to commit to the search, which is half the fun. The staff is very friendly. They have a fair amount of items. It is an open air location, so it can get a bit warm. Some of the items are a little bit more worn than I would like, but there are some treasures to be found. read more

we came across this shop by accident and I'm so happy we did! It is hard to find a great "junk shop" and I mean that in the best way. They have so many unique items, we love vintage and they have so many items to reuse and repurpose. my Daughter loves coming along because she can always finds something. This place is a gem! The entire reason why my wedding was so personalized with vintage touches was because of the work that they do. With all of the flea markets and vintage stores going out of business, we NEED more places like this. The finds are unique and have character. If you're not into second hand items, this isn't the place for you. The owners are more than kind and even would be on the look out for certain items for me. They are a husband and wife team and are both just the most down to earth approachable people! Not only that, but they give back to the community. When I first looked up Stained Market Place I was looking for vintage stores.. Now this place isn't quite a vintage store and it's not quite an antique store either. It is a place full of random, older inventory. If I were to equate this store to anything it is a mix of my grandmother's and grandfather's estate. There are items there that I also would never see at my grandparents, like Jack Daniel's lights or giant art pieces. I have been to Stained Market Place a couple of times in my shopping. If you are looking for something specific, especially furniture, I recommend stopping in to see if they have it. I was able to find a solid wood, circle mirror about 3x3 for $10. I would call that a steal! The owner is super personable and easy to talk to. Some cats live onsite and they were super cute as well. I would recommend stopping in and checking it out if you are on a Saturday thrift or just looking for everyday things. read more

I had high hopes for this place after reading the reviews, but I think it's changed a lot since many of those reviews were written. It's not really an antique store or even a thrift store - I would call it a junk store. First of all, it was so cluttered with random items stacked together in no particular order, that it was hard to even weave your way through the aisles. Second, it truly was mostly junk. If you are crafting together random pieces of things, then perhaps you can find what you're looking for, but in general, there was nothing we saw that would be useful as-is in one's home. It's not an antique store, yet it is. It appears to be vintage, thrift, repurposed, & salvage finds. To rate it equally against traditional antique stores (as one Yelper did) is unfair. The website clearly states that you'll find "a few sprinkles" of "antique treasures." Open just Thurs & Friday 11 AM to 4 PM & Sat & Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM, you'll never know what will greet you here, but it will always be interesting. Be prepared to get dusty & to dig. Some finds will be in larger quantities while others fly solo. Examples on my visit: multiple large metal alphabetical letters; many vintage wooden plantation-style window blinds; a repurposed antique sewing machine (now a table); & one gorgeous, excellent condition glass Asian tree priced low-- see pics. If you want to see what awaits you before heading over, check out the weekly photos on Stained's Facebook page. The owner working on the day we stopped in to browse was not warm & fuzzy, but he definitively had an interesting mismash of interesting merchandise: old sewing patterns; buttons; old tools; record albums; light fixtures; some sporting goods; thrift clothing (fill a bag for $5.), plus so much more. We didn't leave here w/ anything during our Sunday visit, but w/ this type of vintage warehouse, it's always a gamble. A small stop off I-4 in Ybor, Tampa, FL. Was looking for consignment shops on the main drag of historic Ybor on E Seventh Ave when we saw this pop up on our maps a couple of blocks over. Decided to stop in for a quick look around. The shop was small, almost like a quaint, old-timey car shop from the 1920s cleared out to make room for storage. The place was filled with all sorts of treasures with little paths carved throughout to venture through. Most items were old car parts, furniture, and tools. There was a small clothing section in the back right corner that drew me in. A few vintage blouses, coats, and even a big blue bin full, labeled "grab a bag, fill up for $5". The walk through took 10 minutes, maybe even $5. But I suggest taking a second loop. Upon my second stop through the clothing pile in the back, I saw brand new Michael Kors Corey Booties. They retail for $185 and I scored them for $50. The only takeaway was having no box to put them in. However, I lovely surprise non-the-less. Don't be fooled by the rustic exterior, this place is hiding gems in every corner! read more

I've always wanted to stop by this place and finally did! The outdoor area is laid more with salvageable pieces (aka broken things) for diverse projects and art pieces. As a former project chaser myself, I was intrigued, but I take a very long time to finish projects, so I resisted. We wandered inside the treasure cavern. Kind of felt like Alibaba and the bandits wearing our masks looking for our little treasures. My girls and I were indeed successful in finding our little niches. The girls spotted an adorable Starbucks flexing shirt which I like (coffee & muscles, YASS!), an adorable soft and clean unicorn stuffed animal for my 2nd born and cake pop maker for my baker oldest daughter. All three treasures for $15, not bad! We would have stayed a little longer but it was getting a bit too crowded and hot, but still worth the trip for that special, cheap treasure. read more

I fell in love with the Stained Market Place just from seeing the inventory on the outside of the building! The pieces of fencing and trellises called to me to buy, buy, buy. Inside the building was like going into my grandfather's old garage where years of salvageable items had been stored in the event some part was needed again for another project. Waste not, want not, right? Stained Market Place carries so many oddball pieces. Things you don't think you need until you see them and then wonder how you did without having it. Pieces that can come together and create a work of art. I took an old and weathered white picket fence and transformed it into two large garden signs that I gave as gifts. The picket fence cost me $5.00. Everything there is reasonably priced. Go there and check it out. You'll be glad you did! read more

I came here just to check it out and I was floored by just the number of things that were in the building! There's so many knick knacks and things to be seen that it can get quite overwhelming. They have bottle caps and mason jars galore, there was a shelf unit that resembled a coffin, some chairs to be salvaged, just chock full of fun! I have a few projects in mind, so I'm definitely going to be making the trip back. This is totally worth a trip! I will be heading back and when I do, I'll update the review! read more

Great little spot for quirky items one might need for that DIY project that's been eluding them. I stopped in just to take a look the other day, as soon I got to the door I started seeing all sorts of things that I could use. The prices are great here as well. It's hard not to find something...and that something probably has a price that will make you say "I gotta get it while I'm here" lol that's what I did. This is a great little place for unique knick knacks and items that are gently used, or sometimes more than gently used. I am not an artist, however I can see that the variety of items here could be a virtual candy store for the creative mind. The owners of the store are very personable, they care about their business, they are engaging, and treat the customer right. My wife and I have purchased a few things from the store , and we always enjoy perusing the new additions that seem to come in weekly, and maybe more frequently than that. Though the store is in Ybor City, it is not in the "main part" of Ybor City. It is on the other side of the interstate and there is plenty of parking. If you like antiques, potential projects, and random items that a creative mind could make into something really cool, you owe it to yourself to stop in and check this place out. Small-ish store of vintage wares located near 14th St. and 275, near Ybor City. Maybe it's IN Ybor City, but more the residential part...I'm not sure where the neighborhood boundaries are. Anyhow, lots of cool stuff to look at. Prices aren't thrift store cheap nor are they antique store expensive. Vintage foosball players $2 each. Dresser $35. Nothing caught my eye the day we were there but it's not crap either. Check it out next time you're in the area. Some of the furniture pieces are as-made and others have been refinished in fun colors. Really a good assortment of decor pieces and useful pieces. Stopped in today to check it out as I have driven by before. The merchandise is well priced and there are a lot of small and larger items that just need a little love and paint to make them new again! The staff was very nice and welcoming. She asked If I had been in before and told me If I liked something to take the tag to the front when done shopping so someone else doesn't snag it before I'm ready to pay. This place came up during my thrift store search and I was really looking forward to checking it out. However, when I arrived, I realized that this place is more for finding odds and ends for any DIY projects you may be doing. Based on the photos, I was expecting it to have more of a "thrift store" vibe, but it has more a scrap yard vibe, which is great if you're looking for random pieces for a project. Overall, for my intention, it wasn't what I was expecting. If you're looking for a place to do some thrift store shopping, I wouldn't necessarily suggest here. But if you're looking for missing pieces or random things that may work for your project, this is definitely the place to go!! I wandered into this cute place to look for a birthday gift for a good friend, and I was impressed that they had local arts/crafty stuff. I got her a really cool sunburst made of recycled green bottles made by a local artist for about $12, and she loved it, hangs it up in her yard. Nice place to check out for out of the box gifts! They have lots of vintage and quirky stuff but less priced than a typical antique store. I had a really good time checking it out and want to come back when they do their weekend markets. read more

So not a traditional thrift store but really like it. Part local crafts, part thrift, and part salvage. Would have been 5 stars but locating it and parking was a bit of a challenge for me and it wasn't ac but cooled by large fans bc it was open to the outdoors.
