So, we needed the gutters cleaned at our office here in Troy and it was my job to find someone to do this task. Between the pandemic and staff changes, we had no clue the last time the gutters had been cleaned. Some of them were even coming off the roof! Plus, with all the rain we've had, the gutters were literally taking a beating this summer and needed attention. After getting several estimates, C&G gave us an awesome quote and came out in person to check out our building. While it's not a tremendously huge building in comparison to some others in the area, it was still going to be a lot of work due to the amount of debris that we had going on there. Two really nice guys showed up and not only did the entire building in two hours, but tacked back up the gutters that were falling off the side of the building as well. They also cleaned up their mess and hauled it away from all the stuff that got blown out. They also showed us other repairs that may need to get done in the future to keep the roof and building in good shape. Overall, these guys do really good work at a very fair price. Christopher was great inspecting our chimney and giving us pictures. He was able to come out quickly, and definitely knew his stuff. I was skeptical because Yelp didn't have any reviews for him, but he had great communication, kept me updated when he would arrive (which was right in the window he said he would) and explained everything in detail with additional recommendations. I am revising my previous review but want to be fair because I am nice person and want to believe I did not get taken advantage of because Chris seemed nice; I cannot speak to other jobs Chris has done; however, I had him clean out my chimney and thought it was a reasonable price and good job done. I hired him again to do some chimney repair, which previous to the day he did the repair he seemed very knowledgeable and confident, but the day he did the repair it was like I was dealing with a completely different person who had no idea what he was doing or talking about and even though he didn't know what he was doing and claimed he had to rethink the entire job, he proceeded to paint the chimney with a weatherproof paint and do some other small repairs and did cut some money off because he needed less "material" but I still paid 2000$. Chris then told me he would come back out and check it to make sure it was holding up well, I was very skeptical at that point, but he also never contacted me to return. I had a reputable mason of 35 years experience come out recently and basically told me I got scammed, that a horrible repair job was done, that the person I hired had no idea what they were doing, and that it won't last through the winter. And, that his chimney inspection was very inaccurate. Please do not hire Chris to do masonry work or chimney inspection. I hope he learns his lesson from this review. read more

Used the Yelp app to get a quote . Got a "Flat rate" Really responsive, easy to schedule Last time I had a sweep they spent time and cleaned the inner part of the fireplace around the flue w a brush and swept. When the job was done there, he asked for for 25 more for the inspection than was quoted for the sweep. I get it, the inspection was more when he was looking at it anyway... Overall didn't feel like a good value I would avoid given an equal quote read more
