But then we had another leak after that. The owner Chris ignored my texts. Another roofer inspected it and pointed out that the roof underlayment didn't extend up the house wall properly. It should have been run UNDER the waterproofing that is on the house wall that the garage attaches to. Instead, Chris's crew put the garage roof underlayment OVER the wall waterproofing. They also didn't tape off that materials or put any flashing, and also put nails into our siding to reattach to the house!! So, those nails punctured the waterproofing material, so of course water was going to get in!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! His guys don't know what they are doing. Chris wants your money immediately and he won't return calls/texts when there is a problem. Absolutely terrible, especially after he knew we'd been taken advantage of by other roofers prior to him.

I was fine with it until I went to patch the ceiling drywall a month ago. I quickly realized that although water was no longer dripping from the ceiling, the leak was still there. They charged me another $95 just to come out and tell me that I need to completely change the ventilation of my roof (at a cost of $7,500). This is all for a house that was built less than 4 years ago. I had another company come out to review the issue. They replaced a single mushroom ventilation cap and showed me pictures where they believed Mike Evangelist Roofing simply sealed a couple screws and put a large piece of tape over the front of a mushroom vent. I reached back out to Mike Evangelist roofing as soon as the other company completed their job. I got a callback within 2 hours and Mike Evangelist roofing was back at my house within 4 hours to review their work with me, explain exactly what they did on the first visit, and verify what the other company had performed. During this visit (now 3 by Mike Evangelist and 1 by another company), somebody finally walked into my attic to view the leak. Turns out that it was a nail hole that was near the vent causing the leak. I gave them 3 stars (after my initial review being 2), as they were prompt and courteous. They were quick to come back and review the issue. I am hopeful that my 3 year old roof is finally leak free, but only time will tell. I just wish they would have spent a little more effort on the initial visit to walk my attic and find this issue right away.

For the amount we were charged, we expected much more transparency and comprehensive report outlining the issues and recommended repairs. BHC is a very well run, responsive, personable, respectful, and conscientious business. They come when they say they will, do only what's needed, and provide fair value for their services. The workers are straight forward in their explanations, taking photo evidence of the roofing conditions to share with the home owner. They discuss what needs to be done right away and explain the options available, which is good to have if working with a budget. They follow up with reminders if the roof is coming due for maintainence which is a nice service. Outta sight, outta mind is human nature, so i appreciate the reminders for recoats, etc. The roof is not something to leave to chance, especially with the crazy weather experienced lately ( strong winds, hail, torrential rainfall, etc). I recently had a clogged downspout (from some tree debris) that was pooling water on the roof and BHC was out within a few days of my call. No job is too small when it comes to their customers. I sincerely appreciate that kind of respect and service. I am so glad I found BHC Roofing! From the back office to their actual project team, every step of the journey has been dealt with efficiency and professionalism. The team arrived at our house at 7 am and they were in the process of cleaning up by 11 am. During the process, there was minimum noise and they were very honest about the roof conditions in terms of what part of the decking needed to be replaced and what looked good. We've been dealing with different contractors in the past several years due to our moving around. BHC Roofing is definitely one of the better contractors. Highly recommended!

He didn't overcomplicate the project or load me up with roofing jargon like other contractors did. Their quote came in customized to our project and was built to have no large "extra material " surprises when the project closed. They were always communicative and friendly about the project. When they encountered a situation that was abnormal, they walked me through the issue and offered resolutions that would've cost them money. They seem to be stand-up craftsmen who want to do a good job at all costs and don't treat their customers like just another number. If you are going to invite anyone to do work on their home especially on your roof, they are the type to get.

I had water leaking from my roof down into my upstairs bathroom ceiling. These scammers ripped me off, paid $350 cash for nothing. the 2 guys who came out had a hard time climbing a ladder and walking on my roof which is not that steep as the guys from state farm were able to easily walk on my roof. once on the roof, they claim that they found nothing wrong but wanted $350 for just coming out. What a scam. I Had to call Home Depot to send out one of their contractors to repair my roof, they put flashing boot and sealer around one of their boots (pipes) coming out of of the roof. It's a simple fix that these guys missed. Stay away from these guys, save your money and go w/ someone else. I would recommend talking w/ your local Home Depot or Lowe's to recommend someone. These guys are overpriced and a disappointment.

I got his name and number from my vet actually so I had to cancel the appointment because water was pouring out of my ceiling which I thought was a roofing issue from my porch. It turned out that it was a heating pipe that split. My daughter told me that the floor upstairs was soaked. I ran upstairs I pulled up the carpet and it was scolding to the touch. There was a lot of steam coming off the floor. I ended up calling the fire company going way over the extreme, but by that point I had already called Dale Rimmer. He ended up getting here as fire company was leaving ( which was 20 minutes ) He did explain on the phone that it was probably just steam coming off the floor. He remained with me at the house until I had somebody able to come out and fix the pipe( the fire company turned off my boiler as it was pouring water into my house). I'm also leaving a review for my Fire company. I've never needed them in all my years living here, but they were downright amazing and the same thing with the police downright amazing. Several siding contractors we called said they only did siding. Dale said he had contractors that he has worked with for years that could do the stone work and build the new porch. Dale was involved during the entire process and the stone mason and carpenter he brought in were great. The porch and stone work turned out better than we expected. We also had a new flagstone walkway installed and our deck refurbished. The new siding, gutters and downspouts completed the makeover of our home's exterior. Dale was personally involved and was quick to answer and questions or concerns we had. All of the people took pride in their work and the results show it.
