Found Stoltzfus with a web search, lots of options to customize the structure to what you want and where you want the options (i.e. pressure treated sill plates, deeper section floor joists, etc). They had a unit on display at their facility and invited me up for a tour which I accepted. They spent the time to take me around the facility, show me the operation, and a similar unit on-site I could go thru to see specifics of the construction details. To match my house's fiber cement siding and paint which I have been very happy with, I provided them the manufacturer of the siding and paint and they took care of the rest providing me a very reasonable estimate to deliver the garage fully sided and painted. Did not particularly like the door and windows offered, they gave me credit back off the price and I provided them the door and windows of my preference for installation. Could not have been more painless procedure to navigate through. Delivery was equally professional and quite challenging traversing/placing the 12'x28'L garage around several obstacles next to my house. Opted for a shed dormer on one side of the roof which had to be stick built on site; delivery and build was completed over the span of two days. Have had the garage now for two years; wired, insulated and dry walled the interior myself to save a few bucks and have a very cozy wood shop with lots of storage upstairs. Spent a lot of time looking at garage plans and pre-fabricated garage's and nothing comes close in terms of value/quality/schedule to build/price that I have enjoyed with this garage. Stoltzfus also gave me a good deal on a matching firewood shed that shipped for free with the garage. Would highly recommend their services/products. read more

We bought a 12 x 16 Garden Shed Elite which we had to have constructed on-site because there was no way to move a pre-built shed into our desired location. We went through a couple customization discussions with Stoltzfus sales person who was very knowledgeable about options. We added a third window on one side that had no windows. We added a couple lofts. We also upgraded the walls to 2x6 and the flooring to pressure treated - at what I thought were very modest upgrade costs. I took a drive over to their facility to look at the siding color options and the facility is a Top Notch manufacturing plant with a number of sheds on display outside and nice sales/customer service offices. If you have the chance I would really encourage you to visit their facility. Stoltzfus recommended a contractor to prepare the site and we were very happy with the work that guy did, actually digging out and moving some small boulders in the process. The day of the construction the crew arrived right on time. The walls and roof trusses were already built and they carried them by hand to the construction site. By about 4 PM the shed was finished - siding, roofing, gutters & spouts. They forgot to bring the vents but came back a week later and installed those. Our shed is literally the most attractive and highest quality shed I've ever seen anywhere. Probably better construction quality than our house. The price was not cheap, but we wanted a good quality shed that was attractive since it is very visible from our back deck where we like to spend time in the summer and entertain guests. We will be buying a similar shed for another property and we will certainly buy from Stoltzfus again. read more

After shopping both local and on the Internet for a new shed, I came across Stoltzfus website. That was the end of my search. I'm still glad I found them. My backyard is fenced in with 6ft vinyl. Other companies would demand the removal of some portions of the fence, obviously at my cost, or a steep fee to built the shed onsite. The people at Stoltzfus solved the problem for me by bringing in the shed in big sections, getting those through my gate and assembled it in-place for a nominal fee. Stoltzfus selection was as good as any competitor online plus their prices were half of what the local shop wanted. One would think that lower prices would mean cheaper quality. I was pleasantly surprise by the quality of their workmanship and materials. It's second to none. The shed has been up for close to a year even enduring this though winter without a glitch. I looks as good and sound as when it was first put in place. But this company commitment to service doesn't end with selling and delivering a shed. It goes through every aspect of the deal. They even asked me for pictures of the challenging fence and surrounding area before taking the order. Thereafter, no hidden costs, no out front demands for complete payments, timely delivery, and a very pleasant receptionist and installers. I was shopping around for sheds and Stoltzfus was highly recommended by a friend so I went with them. I made the foundation pad myself & ordered the shed. I couldn't believe their website. I was ordering a shed but it was more like designing a house. There were lots of options to choose from which I liked. I had some concerns with height because of a neighbor and the crew at Stoltzfus were very helpful and patient with my many phone calls & questions. They were always happy to talk with me. The 10 x 10 shed was done weeks ahead of time and delivered promptly. Even the delivery was really cool. The delivery man hooked it up to a remote control device that took it off the truck and he remotely "drove" it down the street & in the back of my house. He placed it precisely on the foundation. I could not have been more impressed with a shed. It is incredibly sturdy with details I didn't think of like diamond plate door sills. The paint is some sort of very durable brand and exactly the color I wanted. The craftsmanship was excellent. This shed will outlive my house. In the end it was far better in quality and price than anyone nearby. Even with the delivery cost it was less expensive than nearby companies that were selling what I would call garbage. I would give them more stars if I could. Absolutely everything about our experience with Stoltzfus was exceptional. Everyone I spoke with on the phone was pleasant, professional, helpful and kind. Heather was my go-to person on this project and it would be hard for me to complement her enough for her help, and patience! Online, I was able to customize the garden shed and then see it in 3-D. The morning of the day they begin our shed they discovered that my window size choice, although it fit when I did the customizing, in practice would not fit the wall properly when it came to construction. The person I was speaking with made suggestions and then an adjustment and sent me the 3-D to proof. The look of the shed was even improved. I sent back the approval, they continued to build my shed and delivered it within days and much earlier than expected at time of contract. We live in rural Virginia and they were able to deliver from Pennsylvania. Our 12' x 18' shed was placed on the crush and run pad with even more precision then I get moving a sofa to a new spot in our living room. A perfect experience for us. read more

My conversation with Stoltzfus spanned two and a half years, in which time I planned, saved and got quotes from every one of their Lancaster-area competitors. (I did also speak to many shed "stick builders" in my area - but their processes were far less transparent with prices that were at least 15% higher). During my research, I came to learn that there are only a few shed builders that can offer Stoltzfus's level of service for larger projects, but none that offered Stoltzfus's value. In the end, I went with Stoltzfus for my 1000+SF garage. These guys don't know "no." I had many (literally) last minute change requests, of which they each fulfilled. If you're price conscience like me and don't like to work with heavy-handed people (how many sales people do you know that would wait 30 months for a customer to decide, answering loads of questions - conceivably "for free" - along the way?), then do yourself a big favor and call these guys to get your building done right. read more

Stoltzfus structures was great! I needed a new shed and decided to see if the people who build the original were still in business and I was thrilled to see they had a good rating online. Everyone I worked with was super nice and I definitely feel my purchase was worth the money. My neighbor recently got a new shed as well but you can tell the quality of mine from site prep to shed. Carlos was my salesperson and he was great! I put him to many tests and kept him on his toes. Paul delivered the shed and was awesome. The only con to the experience was scheduling site prep - I got a call less than 24 hrs in advance and they showed up at730 am when I was told I'd be called ahead of them arriving. My ramp was also missing at delivery, but that was quickly resolved, with a little back and forth due to the first person not being able to find it and showing up later than expected. I would definitely recommend them and hope this shed last just as long as my old one! read more

After a tree fell and destroyed our kids swing set, we decided we wanted to build something bigger and better than your typical swing set. My vision was a treeless tree house with swings underneath. We had constructed the 12' high platform and were searching for a playhouse to put on top (using a forklift), but all the playhouses were for small children and we wanted something the kids could grow into. After talking to some friends who owned sheds and then shopping both local (in Virginia) and on the Internet, I arrived at the Stoltzfus website. My search ended once seeing their prices and craftmanship. Their price (even with delivery) was better than just about every other shed company in my area. They use quality materials and offer a range of options for the shed (if you are interested). Upon delivery, the guy had the shed unloaded off the truck and onto the "Mule" and set in place in about 20 MINUTES!!! It was amazing to watch. He had a tough spot on one side of the base of where it was to be set. He had no issues getting it in place without any damage to the structure. I looked all over Maryland for a solid, reputable company, and found this company's website. It was by far the least expensive, and looked like quality work. I was very pleased with the ability to choose several customizations, and with the construction. The time between order and construction was short, and three clean-cut young men drove up on the appointed day (after contacting me to verify) and proceeded to build a very well-built structure with quality materials and workmanship. They built right where I asked, and even helped move it up closer against my house when I asked. Since then, I have nothing but praise for the company, its employees, and the shed they built, and this would be the first and only place I would look if I needed another shed built. read more

I was literally shocked at how fast my shed was built. A crew of five craftsmen arrived and worked, nearly nonstop, from sunup to sundown. I've never seen such diligent and talented carpenters in my life. We call my 16 x 20 foot shed "The Cabin" because it really does have that feel. The entire interior is lined with pine and fully insulted. With four windows and solid, and I mean solid construction, it really is an oasis in the back yard. It's hard to believe they built it in a day and a half. I use it as a writing studio, but it is large enough to host 30-35 people for small events. We could not be happier. 12x16 Garden Elite A Frame Shed We love the awesome shed built by Stoltzfus Structures, which exceeded our expectations. It looks like a small house. The crew was very professional. They worked hard the entire time and cleaned up the yard before they left. It was amazing the team was able to build the entire structure in one 12 hour day. Stoltzfus Structures worked with us to construct a custom Garden Shed on the roof of my son's co-op in Manhattan. Two men were in at 8:30, out by 5, as per the building requirements. Once they started my son wanted to change the size of the door and he requested a few other minor changes. He was told, "You are paying for it, you should be happy." The changes, which required a larger door, were made on the spot and one worker returned a week later to hang the new door. The shed is great and everyone who sees it can't figure out how it got there. I spent a lot of time shopping for a shed and Stoltzfus Structures was clearly the best choice for options, price, and service. The on-site assembly of our shed was accomplished promptly, and almost a year later, we are very happy with the quality of the shed and its construction. Whichever shed you buy and wherever you buy it, you may want to protect the wood floor with something; I used epoxy enamel, and caulked the seam between the floor and the bottom (sole) plate of the wall. Good idea as well to use your finger to spread bathtub seal or silicone caulk along the bottom edge of the exterior walls. read more

We first contacted Mark at Stoltzfus Structures in November 2016. We installed the shed in September 2017. Mark worked with us over countless versions of what finally became a very beautiful shed. The deliver was amazing. The width of the shed is 14ft. The width of the entrance to the back yard was 15ft. Except it was bordered by a large pine tree that leaned into the space taking over a foot off of the total width preventing the shed from coming in directly. The install team worked with us to angle the shed in and with some minor damage to some shrubbery they were able to get the shed where it belongs. Great work by everyone involved. Thanks Mark and Co.
