Rettman ( Leon) worked with us to revise quotes to give us the best look for the price. They ripped it out; trimmed pine trees, cut one down, ripped out fountain and evergreen spreaders that were pushing retaining wall out; removed windburned arborvitaes, created a new rock edge section, added pavers and removed gravel but reused it in plant beds . They were on time, checking all the way to see what my daughter wanted and made creative suggestions about the look. We had them lay down fabric and mulch to create a bug free haven and wide open space. It was worth every penny $ 4400 and they cleaned up like they were never there. He knows how to deliver a fair bid but that's all the good I can say about my experience with Tree King. Dan was almost impossible to get a hold of. Finally he answered and set up a bid appointment which was a no call / no show. I followed up with more phone calls and he did show up to the second appointment at which point he told me approximately when the work would begin. That time passed, again with no communication, despite my efforts to contact him a few days in advance. After sometimes 10 phone calls a day and multiple voicemails over the span of weeks, he answered and acknowledged that he missed starting the work when he said he would. That was the last I heard from him. This all took place over roughly three months. Doesn't matter how many times you call, text, or leave a voicemail, the guy's communication skills are non-existent. And tree trimming skills aren't worth much without them. His excuse was that he's an owner-operator and his work prevents him from using the phone. I also own and self-operate a small business and often can't answer the phone but I never let anyone go without a response for more than a couple of days at the most. Even people I don't want to talk to get called back. Don't waste your time.
