P3 Automotive cost me over $1800 to correct their errors in work done on my suspension. This…read moreincludes $943 that P3 charged for installation of coil springs and struts, which was done incorrectly in spite of my explicit, specific instructions on how to do it right. The springs were installed on the wrong end of the car. The mechanic was probably stoned or hung-over. P3 turned the car back over to me and charged me as if nothing was wrong. Anyone with any mechanical sense should have known something was wrong, as the rear end was much higher than it should have been, and the front much lower. Months later I found out that the rear springs were on the front, and not supporting the engine compartment. I blew out two new front struts because of the excess weight on the front struts. I had to buy and replace two front struts, as well as pay another mechanic to reverse the coil springs correctly. At another time, P3 charged me for a re-manufactured rear brake caliper, which it turned out was never installed. They reused the old one with new springs. Charged me over $350 for that rip-off. Avoid this outfit unless you have money to burn!

Although they were busy, the manager told me to leave it for an hour and they would squeeze me in to see what the problem was; I walked down Capital Circle to Publix to have a Coke while I waited. 45 minutes later the manager called me to tell me the rear rotors and pads were worn through and needed replacement, they could do it then in about 3 hours, or I could make an appointment and bring it back in a few days. I replied that I couldn't wait three hours -- a close friend of mine with a terminal condition was being med-evacuated the following morning to his family in Dallas, and this was my last chance to see him. There was a pause at the other end of the line, and the manager said: give us 75 minutes and we'll have it ready for you. 80 minutes later I was back in my car, brakes fixed, on my way to a last visit with my old friend. At any rate, once I pulled around I realized I was now sandwiched in between the tow truck and another customer who pulled up behind me. Because I had to get back to work, I cancelled my order and asked the tow truck driver to pull his truck up a couple of feet to allow me to pass. He refused. I explained that I cancelled my order and obviously there was a line forming behind me and I really needed to get back to work. The tow truck driver told me that I would have to wait for him to load the broken car up before he would allow me to pass. Fortunately the car behind me got frustrated too and left after about 10 minutes of going back and forth with the driver. I was finally able to leave and super annoyed by a towing experience that I had NOTHING to do with. I was a few minutes late for work, which is not a big deal but completely unnecessary. The driver was a total tool and told me his time was more valuable than mine, which was news to me. Obviously, I called the company to file a complaint and had the pleasure of speaking with Katelin, the dispatcher. I think I must've interrupted her because she was completely annoyed and bored by what I had to say. She literally yawn into the phone...y'all she yawned. Then she proceeded to explain to me why my time was not as important as the tow truck driver's time and promptly hung up on me when she was done.
