P3 Automotive cost me over $1800 to correct their errors in work done on my suspension. This includes $943 that P3 charged for installation of coil springs and struts, which was done incorrectly in spite of my explicit, specific instructions on how to do it right. The springs were installed on the wrong end of the car. The mechanic was probably stoned or hung-over. P3 turned the car back over to me and charged me as if nothing was wrong. Anyone with any mechanical sense should have known something was wrong, as the rear end was much higher than it should have been, and the front much lower. Months later I found out that the rear springs were on the front, and not supporting the engine compartment. I blew out two new front struts because of the excess weight on the front struts. I had to buy and replace two front struts, as well as pay another mechanic to reverse the coil springs correctly. At another time, P3 charged me for a re-manufactured rear brake caliper, which it turned out was never installed. They reused the old one with new springs. Charged me over $350 for that rip-off. My sister bought her 2013 Honda civic here to get her seatbelt repaired. She was alone and I was in California. It turned into a $2500 bill for some apparent gas tank issue and quoted for a new computer ‍‍. Ended up telling her to leave and they still charged her $150 diagnostic fee (something autozone and advance auto do for free!) They also turned off her computer and it was not until she took the terminals and touched them herself to reset and turn it back on. Do not send anyone who is not familiar with cars. They scam hard and upsell like crazy. Would rate 0 stars if yelp offered it. read more

In addition, P3 Gauges support documents and video explanation of the gauge settings and operation are stellar. My last car was a wreck. It started doing this cute thing where it wouldn't start when it was under 50 degrees in the morning, unless the sun directly shined on the hood. I went to several mechanics trying to get an answer. They kept giving me lists of things to fix. The costs were adding up. The repairs weren't fixing the problem. I went to P3 on the advice of a wannabe amateur mechanic, who used to deliver parts to the store. He told me they were honest people who wouldn't try to jerk me around. The first thing they did was tell me they would wait to look at my car until the following morning, when it was going to be cold so they could see first hand what was happening. They would not diagnose without seeing what was really wrong with the car. No other mechanic did that. Ultimately the repairs to my car weren't worth the trouble, they would cost more than the car was worth, so I sold it. But I'll be back at P3 the second my car needs something more than an oil change. read more

I have taken two vehicles to P3 and every time they exceeded my expectations. they did some exhaust and carburetor work on my 1979 F100, they replaced the cylinder heads, timing set, exhaust manifolds, and some other stuff on my 1995 F350. I have been coming to P3 for just over 3 years. They have always been fair and honest. They have never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. This past week I was in a car accident in front of their shop. They went above and beyond in helping me after the accident from getting me an Uber to Crawfordville to making sure my car was drivable. Needed evaporator and heater cores for an '05 Lexus GX470 - a +$1K job that requires removing the entire dash down to the bulkhead. Many shops won't even do this kind of work, saying it is "too involved." I had already received 3 quotes for the job and tried P3 on a strong recommendation from a friend; their quote was as low or lower than anyone's. They were very professional, were fast, did an excellent job, and did not deviate from the quote. A/C has been humming along ever since. What else could you ask for? I have since recommended them to friends, and will use them again. As far as the battery review by a recent poster, a battery for a '16 Corolla is $145-178 (ouch) at Advanced Auto (I use them a lot), depending on which one you get; yes, they will put it in for free, but they won't make sure the charging system is correctly charging the system, etc., and they are hit-and-miss as to whether they will even install the battery correctly. So, even though P3 charged $48 to install it, the total cost of $182 is in line with Advanced and is a good deal these days from a shop that will stand behind their work. From the information in the review, I don't think the daughter was treated unfairly at all. Just sayin'. I think I'll try them the next time I need a battery. :) read more
