I wish they had some regional IPAs on tap but that was the only negative. I ordered two helpings of snow crab clusters, which were on special, some potatoes, sausage, corn on the cob, and had a do-it-yourself seafood boil. I put my gloves on and went to work. My wife ordered the popcorn shrimp and sides and loved them. We both had leftovers and heated up they tasted great which doesn't always happen with this kind of food. Woah! We are seafood LOVERS and this place didn't disappoint. Sometimes living in North Alabama it's pretty hard to find fresh seafood. But this YUM! The service was great! I should've gotten our servers name- but she did her job, wasn't over attentive, kept our drinks full, was super pleasant and got our order out while it was hot and YUMMMM-O!!!! If I had any single thing to say - I'd suggest they pay attention to a few details in the building itself. A missing handle, paper towel dispenser empty, older flooring, a dirty fish tank .... But all in all - nothing that made me not want to eat there. I'd like to start by saying the waiter, Deon was absolutely amazing. So the 3 stars is for the service. I eat a lot of crawfish during the season. I ordered 3 lbs here, not only were they not even close to fresh, they were very over cooked. Some even had a fowl taste. My husband ordered are medium rare steak and it came out well, well done. It also had a weird taste to it, almost fishy like. The boudin balls were ok. They said they were moving locations in a few days so maybe that had something to do with it. read more

That food was soooo good. But my guy was so upset! He wanted to come out for Father's Day for crab special but they ran out of crabs. So CJ ran the special again the next week which was awesome. But we got there after 8pm. They would not serve him the all you can eat crab special cause we got there too late. He didn't eat all day long cause he was so excited to tear up some crabs. I felt really bad for the guy. And then while we were eating, they turned off the AC, started spraying cleaner on the table next to us, vacuuming and shutting down the place. I came for karaoke but I don't like seafood. I was happy to see chicken tenders on the menu, and they were excellent. All my friends who had seafood liked what they had. Only slight complaint was the service. Sweet girl but had to be asked for silverware and salt and pepper. Another one that I could have sworn I had already written a review for. We arrived here, kind of as a second choice, since we couldn't get into the place we originally wanted to go. We have been sampling with doing this type of boil at home for the last several months so thought this would be a good gauge of how we were doing. First, service wasn't great. In fact I'd go as far as to say poor. We had to get up and take care of stuff that we needed multiple times. It wasn't that they were super crowded either, they almost totally cleared out shortly after we arrived. The food, was just honestly kind of generic. Nothing had great flavor to it, and at the prices they are charging, there should be a little wow factor with the meal. The restaurant itself, was nice enough and had the look and feel of what you would expect a Crab Shack to look like. Aside from that, there really isn't anything else that is a huge positive. I guess the other positive would be that, even though it was virtually impossible to get taken care of, when we did have the attention of our server she was very nice. The crawfish was way over cooked and very dry like reheated from the previous day or that morning. The snow crab was also over cooked so it made them hard to crack and peel.
