My friend was very specific in what she wanted when we came to Seaside. A purple zip-up hoodie with Seaside printed on front and sleeves. Sharky's was the place to go! She found the shade of purple she wanted and a design she loved in the books. They were able to put it across the front of the zip-up PERFECTLY! Completely aligned, smooth, and straight! Great product! The employees are what really made this place awesome! We were helped by Jamie and he was great. My friend looked through both books twice because she's extremely indecisive and he stayed with us the whole time. He showed no impatience, didn't try to hurry her along by forcing her into something just to get her out the door. He seemed genuinely happy to be there and WANTED to help us. When she made her decision, the manager (forgot his name) was the one who made her shirt. He was funny, professional, efficient, and easy to talk to. We will come here in the future! ----Also, I recommend this place over Freedoms. The people there always seem pretty skeezy and I avoid that shop like the plague. Sharky's is pretty even in price, but even if they were more, I'd pay it!

I went last week to this store, wanted to buy a pullover…read more Then lady in the shop told me, we can pick a T-shirt and size and pick the design and they will print. The lady was nice and answered all my questions, but there are so many designs all over place, it's really tough to pick one, if you don't know what you want. I searched for hulk, but dint find one and asked the lady and first she told she doesn't have and even I dint see but later she remembered, she may have one and it was above the counter, you can't easily find it. My friend is a customer there. This was the opposite at this store. After being passed off to the manager by a sales associate, she asked us if "we were there to buy shoes". Is this store a front for something else? What did she think we were in there for? I felt like we had to apologize for walking into the store. We were made to feel as if we were bothering them. Perhaps the employees could be taught to act happy or glad that we walked in. Perhaps they could engage in friendly conversation with customers. Suggest something! This could and should start with the manager. Who knows, with a little different attitude by these store employees, we might have bought something in this store. I do not recommend this shoe store in Astoria.
