Hospice sent script to them yesterday afternoon for my father. I went to get it, wasn't ready said be about half hour so I left and went back an hour later still not ready, excuse this time was no amount to dispense listed and to late to contact provider, would have been great to have known that the first time rather than come back 30 minutes. Explained again that this was medication for my father who just started hospice and we need the medication for pain and that hospice has staffing 24 hours. Contacted hospice and they got it straight. This isn't a one time issue with this pharmacy it's an every time my parents used it. We moved my mothers from there before she passed away and I've instructed hospice to move my father's scripts from there. Incompetence is the word best to describe this pharmacy, staff apparently do not communicate with each other and standard response for customers must be "not ready give us 30 minutes."

There have been so many times that I had to ask where the bananas were, beets, etc. Overall I'm so glad this store exists, because it is the closest to Whole Foods so far here, although it's also nothing like WF. It would be nice if they opened a location in the Southwest of town because it's quite a drive, especially when there's no option to pick up. It is so expensive at Natural Grocers which I was absolutely shocked at, but I guess we have no choice other than to spend the money because Columbia doesn't have a lot of options for organic food. I at least appreciate that the store exists. A common misconception is that Natural Grocers is cheaper than Whole Foods. It's not. I used to shop at Whole Foods in my old town and it was significantly cheaper, more items to choose from, and they actually have a meat counter which is missing from Natural Grocers. I spend double the money when I'm here compared to WF. I miss the days where you can go get all your meats from one store. I cannot find good quality meats here, but they do have some chicken and ground beef options that's packaged. But even then, they run out of it. I miss having the options. Some other differences between NG and WF---- Whole Foods has an option where you can order from an app and pick up in the parking lot. NG doesn't have this option. WF has a smoothie and coffee bar, as well as a hot food bar. The amount of people dissing WF to me is just insane. This attachment to "the way things were" in the Midwest and limited thinking has got to be changed here in Columbia. One thing I appreciate about NG is that they do not use Apeel, which is a big problem in other stores. The one thing I REALLY do not like about this store is the amount of rude people who work the cashier register, especially to people who shop a large amount of groceries at once. I don't want to say all of them because some of them have been very nice. However, there was one African American lady who you could feel just hated her job and hated ringing me up and would make snarky comments to me. It was more than once and very clear she hated what she was doing there. I did not catch her name because it was hard to even be around her due to how uncomfortable she would make me. Another person named Sloan is always passive aggressive to me and other customers when ringing us up. Every time I get rung up by these people, they seem extra bothered and have a rude, standoffish demeanor about them. Their behavior was just strange, unacceptable and lame. Especially someone like me new to the Midwest, these types of people are the reason I don't find Midwesterners all that friendly. They are ruder than people from big cities. I get very anxious in the store because I don't want to deal with some of the rude cashiers. The rest have been decent and one of them was exceptionally kind to me, but I forget her name. Management should help these people understand that even if they're annoyed with their job, we are the ones spending an exorbitant amount of money to help the business and keep the lights on, and possibly even your job. I get it, work sucks. But it's not okay to be rude to customers or act like you're bothered when you're ringing someone up. It sucks to only have one store and one option in town to go to, to get organic food. Eating healthy shouldn't have to be this hard or complicated. But overall, I'm glad it exists because without it we would have nothing.

When you buy your product in a supermarket, you're never really sure how long it's been sitting. These moist, meaty chickens have ruined me. I just can't do store bought chicken anymore. They are so moist and juicy and the taste is like no other. My kids have taken me back to my hippy days. They belong to a co-op and have been buying farm fresh produce and meat for several years now. I get to share the wealth of cooking/eating these exceptional meats. I have fantastic kids! Below is a list of what they do offer for sale. Some of the meats are seasonal. I would advice that you call ahead and see what their availability is on the meats. They sale grass fed beef 1/2 or a whole cow. They also have grass fed lamb and boy is that good eating! The also have 1/2 or whole free range pork. Be mindful that the pig includes the skull, hoofs, and ham hocks. (Only thing you don't get is the squeal). The hocks are ready to use in any bean soup. The pork sausage that is made here is delicious too! Last but not least they have the free range chicken and free range turkeys available at Thanksgiving. During the winter months when the Coppell Farmers Market is closed, they do a monthly drop off for pre-ordered meat and eggs. RR produces locally grown, grass fed meat. Chicken, beef, pork and lamb are all AMAZING from there. They also sell turkey during the holiday season. I don't eat turkey, so I can't tell you how good it is. BUT, there are always MAJOR lines for those who have pre-ordered before Thanksgiving and Christmas if that is any indication. We love their eggs. Their eggs are free range and the birds dine on different grasses according to the season. The color is much more vivid than grocery store eggs, even the organic ones. The color also changes with the seasons. The flavor is AMAZING. They also have some items you can't find just 'anywhere.' Sugar Bear is a Jewslum, so he doesn't eat any pork. He ADORES their beef breakfast sausage. I really like lamb, but it is hard to find certain cuts of lamb in the grocery store (even places like Whole Foods don't have much lamb variety). RR has lots of lamb cuts, and I was especially pleased to find lamb kabob meat. ROCK! Sugar Bear really likes beef bacon, but we have never been able to find it outside of a kosher deli we go to in Austin. I contacted RR about beef bacon, and while it is not a regular product for them, they said I could special request it in May when the cows are fattest. How cool is THAT? The family who runs this ranch is really special and near to my heart. The cream of the crop in the 'Good People' ranking. (considering my general dislike of much of humanity, the last statement means a lot) Two of the kids (college age or older kids I should say) run the meat market RR outlet in Coppell.
