We had Hy-Vee make our wedding cake...our wedding. The cake not only tasted horrible and dry, it was the wrong color. We got married on 2024 but never reached out to them. Fast forward to last month or so and we tasted a birthday cake that a couple from our church got for their daughter. It was amazing. The pharmacy here is horrible with getting medications ready. I have never had a good experience with their pharmacy. I personally do not use it but my mother did before her death in 2011 and my father has used it recently and they have not gotten any better. Hospice sent script to them yesterday afternoon for my father. I went to get it, wasn't ready said be about half hour so I left and went back an hour later still not ready, excuse this time was no amount to dispense listed and to late to contact provider, would have been great to have known that the first time rather than come back 30 minutes. Explained again that this was medication for my father who just started hospice and we need the medication for pain and that hospice has staffing 24 hours. Contacted hospice and they got it straight. This isn't a one time issue with this pharmacy it's an every time my parents used it. We moved my mothers from there before she passed away and I've instructed hospice to move my father's scripts from there. Incompetence is the word best to describe this pharmacy, staff apparently do not communicate with each other and standard response for customers must be "not ready give us 30 minutes." read more

The medical clinic isn't on yelp so I'm leaving it here. My dad went here for something in his eye, they checked him out and said his eye was fine. The next day he went to his primary care doctor and he said he had shards of metal in his eye and it was scratching his cornea. Don't come here read more

if I could give 0 stars I would. sent my refill in three days ago. I called yesterday to check on it was told it would be ready today. call today at 2:45 and I'm told "oh the girls who have been answering the phones haven't been checking the shelves and we are out of your meds until Monday" I have absolutely had it with this place I get the same refills every month and every month it's something. so now I must go the entire weekend feeling like crap because Hyvee and their employees don't care enough to make sure they keep medications in stock. this is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to, I keep going back only because the location is conveniently across from my house but I'm done. tried to get my rx transferred somewhere else but couldn't and of course it's the weekend so I have no other choice but to go without a medication that I should not be going without. Hyvee needs to do something about this bs or just shut the whole pharmacy down because this is ridiculous. Had I been told yesterday that their stock was low I could have called my doctor and made other arrangements but the people this place hires obviously don't care enough to walk two steps to the shelf to check. I have never been so angry in my life and I will not be back I've had it. Chance after chance and nothing changes so that tells me that this is just a pattern with this pharmacy and all they care about is money. Done shopping at Hy-Vee. Went to buy some groceries the other night. Went to the onlyche kout open that had cashier. After putting my groceries on the belt and getting my money out, I was informed the only way to pay cash after 9pm is at self checkout. CASHier seemed surprised I didn't want my items. Told her I was not interested in gathering up my items and moving them to another lane where I had to check myself out when they had an employee right there that was paid to do that job andi left. HyVee not only lost a sale that night, they list a customer for good. I will shop where cash paying customers are appreciated. read more

Firstly, the checkout clerks all seem to be A1 excellent. The big gripes are: 1: Countless fruit flies around the fruit. 2: The "background music" is LOUD LOUD LOUD!!! You can't "shop" or think with 80s rock blasting that loud. Now, I LOVE loud music like this, but NOT when I'm making decisions on my dietary needs and money I'm going to spend. Any time I've mentioned this to a clerk or other worker, I've been met with a shrug or "I don't notice it." No offer to mention to a manager, to let me speak with a manager, etc. So, I probably have made my last attempt to shop at this Hy-Vee. read more

I love this Hy-Vee. It's a very large store and I think they have an amazing selection. Their employees are super friendly. They come up to you and ask if you're finding everything OK instead of averting their eyes as you walk by to pretend they don't see you. There's even a gas station in front of the store! Love the selection of nice cheeses and already prepared foods. You really can't go wrong here! read more

Hard to find good parking at this store. The lot design is horrible. Inside. ... stop by the Italian area for good food and friendly and helpful employees! Maggie is awesome. The meat department has good sales from time to time. The produce is fresh. The produce looks much better than at Gerbes East! We have used the floral service several times and always been hsppy. The fuel saver program is awesome for gas! I have heard the have cooking classes. Would like to try one of those. read more

Came here during the Thanksgiving holiday for some groceries and found the store to be ok. It was large with all your traditional items. The layout was a bit strange in the back, and I was disappointed that they don't carry much in the way of ethical meat. But the staff were friendly and I was pleased that they have a post office in the store. I would return. read more

Hy-Vee is a fine grocery store. I'm sure I've gotten spoiled with the ones in LA and SF, but Hy-Vee always had what I needed and for kinda cheap. They have a great salad bar and diner area for all your meal needs. I would go over in the AM and get a nice breakfast to enjoy with my co-workers. I can't remember it being dirty, or having rude service. I docked it a star because I bought my lotto ticket (notice just 1 ticket) there for the 300 million jackpot and lost. They have a whole lot of food here but you have to cook most of it yourself. There is an urgent care clinic right in the store in case you get sick or something. Sometimes the orchestra sells pies there. I've only seen apple pies but there may be others. They make them like right there and if you know Quinn you can sometimes convenience her to bring one right to your house which is a handy service I must say. (PS I'm not sure she still has a kid in orchestra so this service may not currently be available. CHeryl does not bring pies.) read more

Caribou coffee in the gas station for $1--all sizes up to 20 ounces. Tons of add-ins, including regular and flavored creamers, regular and sugar free flavorings, sugar and sugar-free sweeteners. They brew coffee fresh every hour and have a couple of different roasts, plus decaf. It's the best coffee in town, much better than the overpriced Starbucks they sell inside the actual Hy-vee store...and the staff there is very friendly as well. read more

This grocery store has the most bizarre layout ever. The prices are higher when compared to Walmart and all the isles are cramped. The parking lot is small and hard to park in. When you walk in there is way stuff piled all over the place. It also needs some updating. The produce is fresh, but avoid the meat department. Last time we bought steaks here we found a piece of hair. Gross. The staff is friendly. If you're in Jeff and need some groceries you would be much better off at Walmart or Schnucks. read more

The produce department is WONDERFUL. They have a large variety of fresh fruits and veggies. Hy-Vee has multiple deals and you can pick up a magazine with their weekly specials right in the entrance to your right. The store is sparkling clean and the staff are well groomed and delightfully friendly. I had a very satisfying experience and will make Hy-Vee my new weekly grocery store. read more

They have the nicest workers. Everyone is so helpful. They offer classes that are fun and educational. I like the availability of the registered dietitians. They even offer kids classes, but we have not attended those quite yet. You can request items you would like to see in the store. There is a great health foods area. The pharmacy is wonderful.
