Even if customers don't understand the language, her tone and body language make it obvious that she's talking about them, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. In addition, the owner's phone etiquette could be much more professional. Good customer service goes beyond the quality of the nails--it also includes treating every customer with respect and making them feel welcome.

I have been getting my nails done for 35 years... And I know when I have had a good experience or not. I travel full-time so I Have to rely on the ratings that people give for salons. After reading other Yelp and Google reviews, I called this morning to get an appointment since I did not want to wait as a walk-in. I was told 12:15pm, and then 12pm. I repeated this back and the man on the phone confirmed the time twice before I hung up. When I arrived a few minutes before 12, I was told my time was actually for 12:45. I know I did not make an error on this, and I wish he'd just said they made a mistake instead of insisting that's the time he told me over the phone; it was not. During my appointment, two other women came in for pedicures; one woman arrived soon after I did and said she had an appointment, but her treatment wasn't even started by the time I left. So that's challenging if you have a schedule to stick to. Overall, good treatment, clean shop, iffy time management.
