The body shop cannot begin work on the car until the insurance company approves it. Knowing that, I reached out to my insurance adjuster to let him know that I had just dropped off my car and that they would be assessing the damage that day. I was lucky that the adjuster was able to do a desk review and approved the increased quote over the phone.
