He then still wanted $1700 dollars from me. Lmao a 2001 with 200,000 miles is no where near worth $6000 dollars, and is broke down ready for the scrap yard.lol he still came and took the car from me after paying almost $4000 dollars for a key. Which he still wanted the key back. Why so you can rig it up an resell it to someone who is desperate like I was lmao. He buys cars from an auction an sells then for twice what he paid. You have a family, a baby on the way... having a hard time... he will take all the money you will give him and let you take off in a vehicle that well break down or leave you and your family stranded then still ask for more money. Not to mention his mechanic is a pos he riggs it so you can drive away then your not their problem as long as he gets his money. Lol he has kids too. Would be shitty if someone did his family that way. What a greedy pos. Lol I tried to post pics of the pos he sold me but the site won't let me.plz Kelly blue book the car before he finances you for 3 times what the car is worth when it's probably gonna break down within a month!!!

My experience was quite different from the review that was posted on 06/13/2020…read more I was moving halfway across the country in March 2022 and didn't want to drive my car because of its age, so that left very few options. I started looking into auto transportation companies and became pretty discouraged pretty quickly because each company I "investigated" had garnered a lot of bad reviews. From what I gathered, there are two factions when it comes to auto transportation -- the broker, who sells the service to the customer and locates a carrier to pickup and deliver the customer's car; and the carrier, who handles the actual transportation. A customer deals with the broker, rather than with the carrier, and the lion's share of complaints pertained to the fact that the brokers and carriers gave inconsistent information with respect to pickup and delivery dates, thereby leaving the customers without reliable information regarding the services they had purchased. I understand that this sort of thing can be difficult to coordinate, but the number of one-star reviews that I read seemed to suggest this is not just an occasional problem. When I first read about Lone Star Car Transportation online, the firm was both a broker and a carrier; and based on that, I figured the problems that others had encountered with respect to predictability would be minimized, so I placed a call. "Dana" answered the phone and it was Dana who handled my car's transportation from beginning to end. When I called, I learned that Lone Star had reduced its services to those of a brokerage firm and that concerned me. Dana was so helpful and accommodating, however, that I decided to give Lone Star a try. And I'm SOOOO glad I did. Dana did an even better job than I could have anticipated. We had a very small pickup window before I was scheduled to move and would have had to turn my car over to an associate to oversee the pickup, but Dana managed to find a driver to pick up the car before I left town. She kept in touch with both me and driver while the car was in transport, and after the car was delivered, she contacted me to make sure everything had gone well. I could not have asked for better service, and although Dana is the only Lone Star employee with whom I dealt, I would hope that all employees are equally conscientious. I was so impressed with Lone Star Car Transportation and the service I received from Dana that I would give the company more than five stars if I could. In short, my experience was excellent and I would not hesitate to use Lone Star agai

Hat Creek Carriers was the contractor involved in shipping my car across the country as a result of…read morea relocation package we got with a new employer. The chain of command went Altair, then Hat Creek, then Starway for this specific transaction. My car was shipped in June 2015 and the driver was over 2 hours late (with no communication from either this company or the subcontractor) to pick it up at the point of origin. The car arrived at the destination a few days later. It was never communicated to me that the driver and companies involved were actually responsible for damaging the tail light of my car (I am told it is just the tail light; however, upon inspection, there are also more scratches, the tail light is still loose, and there is bubbling now to the back paint of my car near the left tail light area). I will NEVER actually know what happened to my car while Hat Creek and Starway were responsible for it. The car was actually missing after we arrived at the point of destination, again with NO communication from Hat Creek, Altair, or Starway regarding the actual location of my car (we thought it was just being stored and had no idea why we couldn't get it delivered or picked up). About a week later, we were finally informed of the location of what I thought was a parking lot about 30 miles away from my house. It was actually a repair shop and when I called, I was told "my car will be done later today." I had no idea at that point that my car had been damaged. I still have no idea where my car was throughout the move. I have no idea what actually happened to my car and never will.

He was not forceful and was a big help in my purchase process and I appreciate his assistance. Every thing went well till I was handed off to the financial manager. The financial manager lied to be, saying that the bank required me to purchase Gap insurance. I advised him that I already had it with my insurance company and he said that would not work. They required me to purchase what they had to offer. Comparing the two policies, my savings with my insurance company would be about 300 for the life of the loan. The signing process went quick and no time to read, he did not even give me a copy of what I signed. Said that it would be a while for him to make copies. Made it sound like hours, and said they would send me copies. I got the paperwork today and read it. The Gap insurance page says that it is not required to get the loan from the bank. Called and talked with the bank and the guy laughed when I told him what the Financial Manger said. I called to discuss it, and the dealership said the lady who handles the cancelations works between 8-5. I do not like the fact that I was lied to and forced to purchase something that I did not need or want since I already pay for it at a much better rate. While the contract says it can be canceled within ten days, it is the fact that I was lied to. He took my positive experience and turned it into a bad experience. The salesman went out of his way to help, this guy should of had a can of Vaseline on his desk. I would buy from Daniel again, but I will not do so if this is the only guy who can sign the paperwork. A true used-car salesman mentality. If he is the only one who can close the deals, then I would say stay away. At least do not trust him.

AFTER finishing…read morethe service, they showd me a picture of a section of the oil pan, with what appeared like new oil on one of the bolts. I told them that is weird as the vehicle was NOT leaking oil and I would take them to my house where it's normally parked so they can see for themselves. They quoted me around $900 to "fix" it, but I declined. The next morning when my wife left to work with the vehicle, there was a massive oil stain where the vehicle stood for the night. I called the dealership, who told me to bring in the vehicle. THEN all of a sudden there was a substantial leak due to the pan being plastic, and it just worsened. They are claiming they did NOTHING wrong, it's the oil pan and want me to pay for what I believe they messed up. I also found out from someone else who also took a VW Jetta to service there, that they had the exact same issue there. Someone also took a VW Golf to be serviced there, same thing - from NO OIL leaks before the oil service, to sudden oil leak and damaged oil pan! How convenient, and what a way to make extra hundereds of Dollars off clients. This is a dealership that will screw you over and not flinch, by the looks of it. I have never dealt with such a pathetic service department in the past. I would NOT even take a wheelbarrow there for a tire-change after my experience. I tried to get the Service manager to drive (at my cost) to my house to then show me the oil leaks that should have been on my driveway (under the carport) IF the vehicle was leaking oil, as they suggest. He obviously denied my offer, because he knew they would then not have a leg to stand on.
